    Golemancy

    Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

    Golemancy is a subset of runesmithing. It allows the golemancer to create a being of stone via runecarving and a core that is usually powered by thanhium or something of that matter. These engravings upon the core of the golem are what power the construct, giving it so called life. In terms of the core to use, a basic thanic core is comprised of solid cube grafted from pure arcaurum with runes on all sides expect the front. Various other cores can be learnt which includes a soulbound core, a soulbound core replicates a golem construct however has a unique property requiring a soul from a descendent to power itself, various runes and symbols will then give the shell of this core life.

     

    Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

    "So, uuh.. Yeah. " She rose her hammer and began to chisel out the vague shape of what an arm would be out of the gargantuan block of stone. The student that sat at her side watched Sarya work with eager and wide eyes.

     

    "You have to first carve out the basic form of the Golem." A few minutes passed and a basic arm was carved into the side of the golem. "Next, is the pattern for movement. Student, do you know why the core of a golem is six sided?" Her wide eyed student shook her head from side to side as she procured an immaculate arcaurum core. "It is so that the golem can have all of the six senses of a human. It's why the core is the most susceptible part of the golem. The arms and the entire body should be lined with the same runes." She set the core back down on the table and offered out the hammer and chisel that was timidly taken by her student.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

    Darkstalkers are much like Liches, being unliving immortal undead bound and empowered by lifeforce in a phylactery. If the phylactery which binds them were to be destroyed, the creature’s fate would too be permanently sealed. In the short-term, Darkstalkers may be banished by the shattering of their skulls. They’re particularly vulnerable to holy magics, golden weaponry, blunt force, and even find discomfort in sunlight. Not only that, but they’re incapable of wielding magics aside from the manipulation of lifeforce, due to the way their souls are twisted during the ritual. This twisting of the soul is not without strengths, however. The avatar of bones by which the phylactery is bound to becomes stronger and sturdier, lacking a limit to stamina, and possessing no heed to mortal needs such as air, or food. This doesn’t mean they don’t feed. Lifeforce is the fuel that powers them, given by the charitable Necromancer, or sucked viciously from a living victim by way of an inborn gift; the necromantic touchdrain.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this creature: 

     

    Bryophites are descendants turned plant via a type of moss that has been coined 'Verridian Moss'. It spreads and is usually found within the dampest and darkest areas within a

    forest.

     

    The transformation of a Descendant to Bryophite allows the Descendant to keep their memories and personalities. However, the Bryophite will become agitated at the sight of nature being harmed and will prefer Groves, Woodlands, and things of that nature over loud bustling cities. Despite this, they are fairly neutral and peaceful, leading lives of that manner. In terms of eating, they crave sugary things. They cannot learn any Voidal Magics, as it can kill them as they grow more accustomed and proficient with it. That goes for Paladinism and Azdrazi aswell.

     

    Finally, a Bryophite may only revert themselves back their original forms within one elven week or it becomes permanent.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

    Ghouls are shadows of a fallen person. The only thing left of their once vibrant soul is a former soul-shadow, immortal and powered eternally if they continue to feed upon Life-force. Without it, they break down both mentally and physically, and are driven mad by their hunger. When slain, they rise once more. Superficial wounds cannot slay them. They do not feel fatigue. However, these abilities also sap at their strength, despite seeming superhuman; Death will always be denied to them, even if they wish it. They are numb to everything, not only pain. And even if they cannot feel a mangled arm, their flesh will still suffer its effects. Thus, they tend to be weaker than a living person of equal stature. Their shattered mockery of a soul, while it may somehow find a way to resurface after any demise, cannot learn magic; It is not a proper soul. Gold and holy magic will mess them up, though they tolerate the touch of gold more than some other forms of undeath.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: Paleknights are spirits bound to a suit of stone armor through a mysticism ritual. They are large and bulky, causing them to be slow. What they lack in mobility, however, they make up for in endurance and strength. The average sword will have great trouble defeating them, and the average arrow would merely bounce off their stone structure. Fire is just a small problem for them, as it does not cause them physical harm. A large war-hammer, water evocation, earth evocation, and lightning evocation can prove to be handy weapons against these adversaries. Paleknights, being a variation of a spectral, are especially weak to holy magic, shaman magic, Fi magic, alteration, and aurum weaponry. They feel rather uncomfortable among the living; they prefer to be surrounded by their undead brethren. When they are given a command from their creator, they feel compelled to complete whatever task given, and as such, feel a great deal of relief and satisfaction after completing the task. Personality wise, Paleknights are prone to being sad and dreary. They search to find something that gives them happiness, be it cooking, meditating, or, and fairly often, they decide to partake in murder. This is another reason as to why Paleknights need company. The company of their master or other undead bring them satisfaction, and without guidance, they will fall into a mental disrepair where less and less will fulfill their need for satisfaction. Paleknights often suffer from a wide range of mental disorders such as schizophrenia, anxiety, dementia, and clinical depression, the latter two being the most prevalent among Paleknights.

    Effect(s) of Artifact: The object itself is a metal rod that resembles a lock-pick, a gem fixated at the back of it. When the lock-pick item was inserted into a lock and the gem was tapped, the lock would the be felt by voidal feeling and then those dials or notches inside would be raised or lowered accordingly so that the door could open.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: Gravens are semi-corporal beings. People sometimes call them ghosts, while they are a sort of spirit they aren't like ghosts. Gravens are more like spectral's because they are bound to the area that they died in. Gravens are created if these two requirements are met. If they person has a task left that they want to do and if the person dies a gruesome death. Gravens have to complete some part of their task every once in a while or they will fade away. Gravens are weak to the following: Gold Weaponry, Iron Weaponry, Holy Magic, Fi Magic, Shamanism, Alteration, and Enchanted Weapons. Gravens are also weak to sunlight and too much exposure is deadly. Gravens have multiple appearances. They can be made out of green or blue flames, a black skeletal frame, rotten skin, and a simple corpse. The eyes of a Graven show the trapped soul of an individual and if someone would look upon them they would become temporarily paralyzed. When a Graven's task is completed they will die and if they neglect to do their task they will die. Gravens are usually seen with armor and a weapon though the armor and weapon are usually in bad quality so the loot is limited.

    Offer an explanation of the magic(s) you are learning: 

    Homunculi are generally perceived to be failures of the alchemic process that occur when the alchemist has made a mistake. However, they aren’t always so, a deranged alchemist might decide to further his research on homunculi discovering far more than meets the eye they have the capability to be far greater than any lowly Fiend. Having several stages of purity at the bottom of the pyramid are Fiends they are short lived imps that are more animal than anything else. The tier above them are named Deviants as they are made with better regents and the use of a corpse, they are disfigured versions of the corpse they once were often colored in the shade of the reagent that shaped them such as a water symbol would make the Deviant have blue skin. Above them are Aberrants and Doppelgangers both use a much higher quality of regents and require the Pk of a player. Aberrants are failed attempts at Doppelgangers with a minor imperfection making them somewhere in between a Deviant and a Doppelganger. Doppelgangers are the pinnacle of homunculi and as such, they have abilities stronger than that of the person they once were. They also have a unique feature that allows them to take the form of the reagent that shaped them having a water Doppelganger upon death turn into a puddle and recombine back into its original form. All homunculi suffer from a broken soul and as such, they cannot use magic and are weak to aurrum blades and holy magics. Homunculi are first created with the use of a few reagents -- These usually depicting their attitude. A Homunculi made using fire reagents would be more hot-headed and bleed lava, smoke, or ashes. The dead body would then be dropped in a vat of tar-like substance before the regeants would be inserted in. Then -- The body would slowly be changed into one of a homunculus'.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

    A Homunculi is a creature created from alchemy. You don't have to worry about how good you are at it, because even a novice can create this type of being, albeit a weak, temporary and fiendish form of the creature. However, the greatest of alchemists can achieve an almost perfect form of the creature: the Doppelganger. The pinnacle of physical perfection, a Doppelganger will always look like the person sacrificed to make them. However, they share no memories of their past life, and as such, they will act like a completely different person. They will not have the same accent, way of thinking, personality, and nothing other than the same sort skill set the person had in life. As such, they can be thought of a completely new mind that has merely adopted an old husk.

     

    Homunculi are created under the basic elements: water, earth, fire, and air. These basic elements determine their personality, what they bleed, and what there are weak to. In this case, a air elemental will be quick and intelligence, will bleed nothing, and will have a weakness to earth. Being an air elemental, the homunculi will be smarter and faster then how they were in life, yet strength will stay the same, unlike a fire homunculi whose strength would be increased.

     

    Homunculi, in general, have a weakness to gold, holy magic, and a debilitating weakness to their polar opposite element. They are long lived, but not quite as the descendant races. This of course can be changed using alchemy. When they die, they will dissolve into the element that creates them, and will then proceed to rebuild themselves at a safe location.

    This hand, in essence, is one that was created as a replacement for a lost one. The first function of this hand is the usage of a duel enchantment that allows it to move and operate just like a normal one. The second function of the hand allows the wearer to activate a set of runes which are tied to the user via blood, which is powered by the ingrained mana gem on the back of the metallic hand. The runes are carved all throughout the hand and when activate glow a dim blue. They main purpose of this function is to allow the wearer to manipulate three distinct elements. Fire, water, and air. The elements can be moved around and manipulated to a great extent via the extra runes along the hand. There comes a small problem with using this, as it drains the mana that powers the hand.

    Red Lines of Artifact:

    After the use of five medium sized balls of any element, the hand would be out of mana and would need a recharge.

    All normal runesmithing redlines apply.

    The hand needs to be recharged every two days.

    The hands movement has a quarter second delay.

    Explanation of effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed):

    The hands movement itself is made possible with a mental magic enchantment and telekinesis enchantment. The runes however are a series of different create, bind, and movement runes. Lift up, lift down, pull, push, etcetera.

    A silver bracelet with a gray stone that highly resembles a rock fused into the center of it, multiple small green emeralds surrounding the rest of the silver bracelet. Whenever the wearer taps the gray emerald, the color of the emerald would change, depending on how the wearer is feeling. If the user is feeling a large amount of one emotion, the color will progressively turn darker.

    Red Lines of Artifact:

    The wearer has to be alive for this bracelet to work.

    It needs to be recharged after every day.

    It is very susceptible to mental magic wards.

    Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

    Voidal feeling is essentially gaining knowledge about a object with mana. The caster pushes their mana into the object to figure out more about it. They have to know how much active mana an object can hold, forcing them to do multiple calculations and other things before they are able to figure out more about it. Once they have figured out how much mana an object can hold they can begin to figure out more about it. They push their mana into the object and they can gain some knowledge. At the beginning the caster can only gain some basic knowledge. Normal temperature, what the object is made of, boiling point, freezing point, states of matter, etc. Once they have used the magic for quite some time they can begin to gain much more knowledge. They can get all basic knowledge from an object, figure out what each temperature stage does to an object, figure out how to fuse items (etc iron and coal would make steel), understand what an object is made from, if it is made from multiple materials of course, and they can even begin to sense a faint magical presence, if the object has one. It works more with arcane then with a dark or deific presence. It takes an extra emote to actually sense this presence

    Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

    The slightly bored lady leaned against the wall, examining her timid student with little care.

    “Alright uh…. First lesson! You’re a mage, right?”

    “I… I am, Ye-”

    “Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.” She mumbles tiredly, interrupting her student. She waves a hand in the air before pulling out a metal orb. “Alright so uh…. Feeling is very simple.”

    Her student remains quiet, examining the ball in the lady's hand.

    Sarya exhales gently, a few of her left digits giving a brief spasm before stopping. Sarya renews her focus for a moment before purple translucent mist begins to slowly billow around the ball. “You just have to pour your mana into an object and move it around. You have to want your mana to gather information about the object and it will give you some basic information. As you progress in your magic you’ll be able to gather more information and even some magical information though mostly only with voidal things.” Sarya yawns before her aura vanishes and she tosses the metal orb to her bewildered student, walking away afterward.

    This ring, made out of a silverish metal appears to also have a large ruby encrusted into it. This ring tracks the wearer's health, measuring it out in a strange way. At the peak of their condition the ring should stay the same color, a lustrous silver. As their condition worsens the ring  starts to shift colors, progressively turning into a black color. Once the ring has turned completely black the person is either dead, or so near death that nothing (save for a miracle) can help them.

    Red Lines of Artifact:

    This ring can’t detect emotions or anything like that, only able to sense physical problems.

    If the ring is cracked or damaged the enchantment will cease to work until fixed.

    If a person is being affected by some sort of undead malady (shade, necro, etc) the ring won’t be able to pick that up, still only tracing their physical health which could be affected by the malady.

    Must be recharged every four days.

    Explanation of effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed):

    A woven in mental magic enchantment that connects the wearer to the ring, allowing the ring to sense the condition of the wearer. The mental magic enchantment is also coupled in with a transmutation enchantment that will change the rings color to indicate the status of the wearer.

    A ring made out of purple colored steel, a large sapphire engraved into the ring. This ring tracks the wearer’s mana, measuring it out using color. At the peak of their condition the ring should stay the same colour, a slightly strange purple. As their condition worsens the ring’s color starts to shift, progressively turning into a silver. Once it has turned completely into a silver the wearer would seem to not have any mana left in them, leaving them completely without it until it is restored naturally.

    Red Lines of Artifact:

    It can’t sense anything else, only the mana of the wearer.

    If the gem is cracked or damaged the enchantment will cease to work until fixed.

    If a person is being affected by some sort of undead malady (shade, necro, etc) the ring won’t be able to pick that up, still only tracing their mana.

    The ring won’t pick up on any wounds or anything.

    Must be recharged every four days.

    This one is similar to the above artifact. This one using the above two with a small difference. A ward that traces the person's mana, linked to the mental and transmutation enchantments.

    A large ivory carved sewing needle that doubles as a hair ornament, blue beads are tied around the end of the needle, making it look pretty nice. A large green gem fused into the base of the needle. When the correct phrase is uttered the needles will shrink or expand, depending on the user’s need.

    Red Lines of Artifact:

    It can’t expand any larger than 4 and a half inches long.

    It will need to be recharged every five transmutations.

    the needle is rather fragile over all, even more so when it is expanded fully.

    A mental magic enchantment weaved into the gem along with a transmutation enchantment that will allow the needle to shrink or expand depending on what the user wants.
