Between the Kingdom of Balian and the Kingdom of Norland

Article One, the signatories agree to an absolute pact of non-aggression. No man of the Kingdom of Norland or the Kingdom of Balian will come to blow against one another. Nor shall the constituent vassals of either Kingdom or the armies of their respective Crowns come to meet each other in battle. As per ancient Narvaukiaan tradition, a Purifier shall be sent to the Kingdom of Balian to deliver a sword forged in the flames of the Hearthfire, & from a branch of the Ashwood Tree. Any breach of this term shall be resolved through the appropriate diplomatic channels of either Kingdom.

Article Two, the signatories mutually recognize one another as the sole sovereign state of their respective territories, claims, & titles, beholden to the Crowns of the Kingdom of Norland & the Kingdom of Balian.

Article Three, establishes the mutual defense of the Kingdom of Norland & the Kingdom of Balian. If war is ever waged against either signatory, the other shall muster arms to defend their mutual ally’s territories, claims, & titles. In the event war is waged outside the bounds of defense, the agreeing parties may discuss participation as a separate agreement.

Article Four, establishes the right for the Kingdom of Balian to summon, at will, the Purifiers. In efforts to handle any potential threats of ‘Darkspawn’; by classification of the Red Faith. The Purifiers will act as auxiliaries to the Crown of the Kingdom of Balian, taking direct order from the Crown itself & functioning as elite guards for the King or Queen. The Purifiers will act as per the laws of the Red Faith & will adhere to the honor of the Red-Lord.

Furthermore, the Kingdom of Norland will extradite Maleficarum of the Kingdom of Balian, returning said individuals ‘unspoiled’, to the best of their ability.

Article Five, establishes the right of both nations to request extradition of criminals to one another’s nation. To incur such, a letter must be sent to each respective government to call for the extradition of the criminals for trial. Once such is arranged, the respective lands shall prosecute as they see fit without intervention.

Article Six, establishes the right for those who consider themselves as merchants to trade & sell in the signatory states provided it breaks no known law of the land. Furthermore, the ports of the signatories shall remain open for docking to state ships provided requests are filed prior to the docking of said ships.

Every three years, the Kingdom of Norland will deliver a crate of Ashwood Sap alongside Maple Syrup to the Crown of Balian. Every three years, the Kingdom of Balian will deliver a crate of citrus fruits to the Crown of Norland.

Article Seven, establishes the duration of the treaty, which shall be fifteen years.

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Arcane Displacement, also commonly known as Planeswalking, is a feat that allows a player-character to 'shunt' to a different dimension within the LotC multiverse. These realm-walkers learn of this art through either a teacher or from a remnant script of the Planar Dictate. For a Planeswalking to travel to another realm requires them to conduct as aesthetic ritual of the player's choosing, obviously with seriousness in mind. They may then either /roll # for the currently accepted planes, write & speak with an LT for a custom-made plane, or have an event organized to travel to a plane that is usually not permitted to be freely traveled to. This is Planeswalking in about a paragraph. Though, Planeswalking comes with a variety of redlines, 'spells/rituals' & some additional flavor for your characters. Most notably, Planeswalkers are under a PK-Clause when traveling to & are in another plane of existence; dying elsewhere other than the material plane essentially disallows CT Monks from saving you.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Planeswalking does not have different 'subsections', but a few 'spells/rituals' that may be done.
 

1. Shunting Rite - travel to another realm with at maximum one other traveler, be they planeswalker or not.

2. Pathway Inception - a trio of shunters may create a portal to another realm that their leader/head planeswalker has been to. This portal is temporary and may bring along 5 other participants.
3. Pursuit / Retraction - up to two planeswalkers may chase after another, or they may desecrate the ritual of 'chased' planeswalker and drag them back to the material realm. This works via planeswalkers having a passive 'sight' that allows them to see lines of 'grit', 4d ethereal directions to another realm made by a planeswalker traveling.

Ellenore av Eiriksdóttir begins a most occult ritual, with hymns of praise given unto the All-Father. "Blessed is the Red-Master & his flock, the chosen of His name. Blessed is the Red-Lord & his bright-sword, the might of the dawn. Blessed is the Red-God & his flame, the essence of our making."
Ellenore strikes the earth with her sword, burying a meager portion of its length into the ground. Releasing her grasp upon the blade, she began to circle about the weapon.

Ellenore slowly & carefully spread blessed ash about the confines of her ritual circle, continuing to utter hushed prayers of reverence.
Ellenore: "Judged by word & deed. I am a sword of the Master. I am one of His wrathful weapons incarnate." The High Keeper spoke shakily, slicing open the palm of her left hand with a short obsidian dagger.
Ellenore once more grasps the standing sword by its hilt, blood oozing from her split palm & trickling down the blade. She begins to twist the blade in the dirt, embers & sparks rising from the circle of ash she laid about her dark ritual & low flames spouting forth from where the sword was stabbed into the earth.
Ellenore's wispy black robes & ashen cloak were terribly shaken by unseen forces, an ethereal wind. The flame, in a suddenness akin to lightning, engulfed the sword & its master in flame as bright as the dawn & as fierce as the Hearthfire itself. Though, as sudden as it was, the woman was gone, leaving a sword buried in the earth behind & only traces of scorched earth.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Ellenore av Eiriksdóttir steps about the cavernous, dimly lit room decorated with the many glyphs, shrines, and banners of the Red Faith. "Come, Brother-Rûne. In time you will become proficient in the ancient art of Planeswalking, but first, you must learn the rite of our faith."
Ellenore gestures toward one of the neatly hung swords on the wall; all similar, & all equally decorative in nature. Likely, they'd not be effective weapons if used in such a way, but they were fairly ornate & pleasing to the eye. "These swords act as mediums for our power, allowing us to channel the essence of the All-Father through us & into the arcanic circle."

Ellenore then approached Rûne. She focused upon the hidden powers of the Shunting Arts & gave unto the Purifier the blessing of Planeswalking, via a burning, ethereal ember cast out from her & toward Brother-Rûne.

As High Regent of the House of Ruric, I, Ellenore av Eiriksdóttir, write personally this letter to

Conan av Arichs, Rurikkid Son - due to his service to the Kingdom of Norland & the betterment of the Realm. ‘By your scars and your deeds, you shall be judged.’ And so it is by Conan’s deeds that he has been judged for all his glory.

Here, the High Hearth & the House of Ruric recognize the accomplishments of Conan av Arichs.

I. Victorious Holmgang, against the abominable yet honorable Fel-King Jormunharr Ingmorensson, retrieving the High Keeper’s personal cloak.

II. Victorious battle against the abominable forces of the Long Dark, ensuring that the Dawn might rise another day.

III. The establishment of the Motte of Sólgaard and the fostering of its peoples.

With that, Conan av Arichs is officially known as Conan-Thegn av Arichs, Laird of Sólgaard. In the Kingdom of Norland's storied history, Thegns have often been noted & detailed in the sagas of clans, religiously scribed into the various litanies, hymns, & stories of the Red Scroll, the sacred writings of Thoromir & his sons. Thus, it will be known that Conan-Thegn deserves all the honor & praise that was equally given to his ancestors, so it shall be given unto him.

To this end, Sólgaard is fully recognized as the rightful claim of Conan-Thegn av Arichs & his

people, the Norns. Their land shallstretch along the Bay of Seals for its entirety to establish the Easternmost demarcation. Their land shall go up to the great cliffs of the Wykks & end justly there so that the Northernmost border is known. Their land shall spread Westward toward the Sunshard-pit and end there, making their Westernmost reach known. Finally, their land shall end at the ruins Southern of their motte & bailey, firmly establishing the four corners of Sólgaard’s lands.

The Tithe shall be appropriately asked of Sólgaard every year upon Edvardsawnd (Edvard’s Ire), duly collected

by the Master of Coin - twelve Marks and a Half Mark. Every two years, the meat of the Seal or the Mammoth shall be asked for, & such shall be cooked to hold a feast in Vjardengaard.

On that note, will moderation or administration soon define what exactly 'LotC' affiliation/affiliated spaces are? The rule appears to rely upon this crux, yet it is either poorly defined or not at all meaningfully said. This is quite the problem regarding spaces that are way outside of the LotC medium. Obviously, without question, this ban was quite warranted, considering that the Discord server itself was advertised as a part of LotC in some form.
