"And so, lighting a fire does not cast out the shadow." Spoke Ellenore Eiriksdóttir, High Keeper of the Kingdom of Norland, continuing to write solemn prayers in reverence to the All-Father and blissfully unaware of the Imperial ambitions of the Southlander. Afterall, why would she? Norland was not of Canondom, and this missive had not made its plea towards the Pagan Kingdom.

"Are these the true descendants of Cartref Mor?" The High Keeper asked those of her clergy and council. "We should have casted all of them; as what was done onto the Oathbreaker, Aurelion." She snarled.

If we can /edit gui the storage item, it'd be one of the coolest plugins added to LotC in recent years.

Ellenore silently meandered about a dreary black forest of decrepit fir and elderly pine, full of mist - in a place not of this world. The air, thick with fog, attempted to choke the breath from her with its bitter coldness, but she endured with heavy lungfuls in the pitch dark, by aid of lantern light. There in that realm, she searched for ores of tin and copper, of which were oddly plentiful. She'd make a bronze medallion with what she had found. "I wonder who else is out here in the night..." She looked about herself into the empty darkness.

THE ASHEN CALENDAR
Issued by High Keeper Ellenore av Eiriksdóttir, on the 5th of EDVARDSAWND, IAÁ 491, AGE OF STIFLED FLAME
By order of the High Keeper, envisioned & ordained by the righteous servant of the ALL-FATHER
PREAMBLE
In the pursuit of illuminating the hearts of the devout & those yet still unignited, perpetuating the sanctity of our Realm in the verities of Thoromir, the Herald & the Father, it is hereby decreed that the Ashen Calendar shall be henceforth recognized as the appointed temporal measure for the Holy Kingdom of Norland. This divine chronology, bestowed upon us by providence, shall govern all reckonings, whether they be manifest in Public Missives, Scrolls of Trade, Documents of the King’s Council, or Orders emanating from the august High Hearth.
THE DATING SYSTEM
Verily, the Ashen Calendar is a centurial system, wherein the passage of time is measured by the various ages,
known as the ‘Age of -’. These epochs, named by the reigning High Keeper, are divinely interpreted in communion with the Will of the Father.
The commencement of this calendar begins with ‘The Descent’, year 0; for what transpired was the Descension
of the All-Father - the moment when Thoromir, the Herald & his people, the Narvaukiaans, were graced and saved by the divine eminence of the Red-Lord Himself. The moment when Thoromir Armahnk Ruricsson received his divine mandate & was entrusted with seeing out the Father’s Will. The time before The Descent is considered a period of uncertainty, faithlessness, and chaos. Thus, any time before the Descension ascends numerically, in reverse, is known as the ‘Age of Myth’.
The following are the Ages as recorded by the High Hearth:
The Descent - The Descension of the All-Father
0
First Age - Age of Heraldry
1 - 99
Second Age - Age of The High-rock
100- 199
Third Age - Age of Strife
200 - 299
Fourth Age - Age of Ashes
300 - 399
Fifth Age - Age of Stifled Flame
400 - 499
Sixth Age -
500 - 599
The following are the Months as recorded by the High Hearth:
I. Thoromirsangr - Thoromir's Plight (Wednesday)
II. Inn Ríkismánaðr - The Father's Month (Thursday)
III. Eiriksstanda - Eirik's Defiance (Friday)
IV. Svensmánaðr - Sven's Month (Saturday)
V. Edvardsawnd - Edvard's Ire (Sunday)
VI. Sólsmánaðr - Sun's Month (Monday)
VII. Donovansharðhugaðr - Donovan's Stand (Tuesday)
AND SO IT SHALL BE, BY THE WILL OF THE FATHER,
Ordained by the High Hearth before His most Sacred Flame, Ellenore av Eiriksdóttir, High Keeper of the Sacred Flame, Master of the Order of the First Flame, Righteous Servant of the Red-Lord

"We aren't genociding your peoples, we are just going to forcefully relocate them! Don't worry, you'll find new homes." The High Keeper chimed, ecstatic after having to witness the atrocious meeting between the Duke Markus and the leadership of the Covenant. "An accursed culture like one of the Adrian Raev should not exist!" She added.

"Kill all Paladins." Said Ellenore Eiriksson, High Keeper of the Red Faith.
7 -
"I've never been a Laird before..." The High Keeper pondered, reading over the missive keenly.
6 -
"Half-elves?" Ellenore Eiriksson raised a brow.

The High Keeper of Norland hammers a sign into the ground, just right outside the city at the beginnings of the bridge! "Darkspawn, Magi, Sunlit Mages K.O.S." - High Keeper." "Hopefully, that'll keep 'em out." She walked off to discuss with Jorvin Starbreaker as to why Paladins eat babies.

"Greed and envy, innate evils." Said the High Keeper.

To Excise the Rot
The Purification of Adria
Issued by High Keeper Ellenore Eiriksson, on the 13th of Caedric’s Kindling, FeA 490, AGE OF STIFLED FLAME; within the SACRED halls of the Temple of the Red-Lord, before HIS MOST RIGHTEOUS FLAME
By order of the High Keeper, envisioned and ordained by the righteous servant of the ALL-FATHER
AN END TO WAR
With the dissolution of the League of Veletz and the ascension of Markus Sarkozic as the Duke of Adria, the Kingdom of Norland will formally withdraw from conducting any offensive action against the Duke until the situation is further clarified or resolved in its entirety. The Kingdom of Norland will however, come to the aid and defense of all current Covenant members and foes of the previous ‘Veletz’, should they come under attack in either the field of battle or by raid.
With such stated. I announce to the Realm that soon we will embark upon a quest of purification, to cleanse any rot that is left within the middenlands. Such cleansing will be the hunting of darkspawn and the systematic search of any evils.
AND SO IT SHALL BE, BY THE WILL OF THE FATHER,
Ordained by the High Hearth before His most Sacred Flame, Ellenore Eiriksson, High Keeper of the Sacred Flame, Master of the Order of the First Flame, Righteous Servant of the Red-Lord, Loyal Adherent to the Ashen Way

I'm not sure how it worked when Norland was a vassal before -- I assume it was entirely autonomous with an oath of fealty?
Most recently, Norland existed as a vassal of the Empire of Man(renatus). However, such was mostly facilitated by Narthok and Mogroka's OOC friendship, thus Norland was left alone for the most part IRP. We existed as 'mostly' independent polity that was self-governing. Such fell apart for a variety of reasons. Though, in my personal opinion, it is easy for vassal states to exist in an empire if there is a genuine OOC connection between the parties involved.

I've seen quite a few posts in recent months where all of the 'Heartlander' Canonist Nations will be lumped into one imperial state, an Oren essentially, Haense will be its own Kingdom, and Norland is also its own Kingdom. As the NL of Norland, I don't actually mind the idea of being the vassal of another large polity. However, the culture of Norland is so juxta-posed to every other human Nation(not canonist), that it is essentially impossible to exist under another power without there being some oppressive force working against our culture. This eventually results in the state crumbling apart and going inactive. The problem with imperial states is that the subsequent minor states are either integrated forcefully, and thus are already at odds with the greater power and will always work against it, or the minor state has no loyalty in any capacity.

Norland? Norland should IMO die, but its community is so tight that it'd be impossible. (people who only rp in Norland, and only with Norlanders, constant vc)
For what reason might I ask? Curious actually.

By Allah, we are blessed.
On that note, will moderation or administration soon define what exactly 'LotC' affiliation/affiliated spaces are? The rule appears to rely upon this crux, yet it is either poorly defined or not at all meaningfully said. This is quite the problem regarding spaces that are way outside of the LotC medium. Obviously, without question, this ban was quite warranted, considering that the Discord server itself was advertised as a part of LotC in some form.
