“Your skin must be an RP-friendly representation of your character. Obscene, offensive, or non-rp skins are not allowed. There are many skin-makers on the Forums who are happy to provide skins for new players. The use of a skin created by another player without their consent is considered plagiarism, and is disallowed”

 

I like this rule because I have gone onto several RP servers and seen people that are assuming the role of an elf or a warrior running around as Mario or as a My Little Pony character. It looks unprofessional and it just distracts from the story, which really annoys me

 

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Not really, they all make sense and I feel like they are appropriate for the situations that they prevent

 

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was jumping around Google and came across the site. It looked really put together and neat which made me look into it more and now here I am writing this application :P

What is roleplaying? Roleplaying or RP is when a group of people assume the roles of characters that they have created (OCs/Original Characters) and use them to tell a story. It is, in my opinion, an art form that many different people participate in and enjoy.

 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using outside information (OOC information) that you may know but your character does not to influence your characters actions (IC actions).

 

What is powergaming?: Playing with a person who was powergaming or being OP is one of the most annoying experiences I have ever had. They had one-shot kills, immortality, descended from gods etc… Powergaming is when someone makes his or her character more powerful than everyone else in the game. It’s a prick move that is not acceptable and really makes someone appear more of a jerk than impressive.

Character’s race: Wood-elf

 

Character’s age: She is 67 years old, still on the younger side but and adult none the less

 

Biography: Rysgil was born in the summer of 1483 in the forest outside of where Laurelin is now. She was 30 when the descendant races arrived in Vailor from Athera. When she was 21, her mother went through her Blossoming and became a Druid. She frequently goes to visit her mother’s tree, a spruce tree in the forest outside of Courland. Her father, distraught after his wife left him, moved himself to outside of the Courland so that he could still remain somehow involved in his wife’s life. He goes to visit her several times a year, trying to convince her to sever her connection with her tree, but she never has, her connection to her tree overpowering her remaining love for her husband.

 

Rysgil, after her father’s migration, started to explore her world. She traveled, from Laurelin, north towards Krinfird, west to Courland, and south to Istria, before returning to the forest outside of Laurelin. When she began to feel the symptoms of her own Blossoming, she decided to ignore the urges, deciding to instead be a normal wood-elf for the rest of her life. Deciding to follow her love of caring for animals, becoming a breeder, she started her life. While not extremely experienced in the craft, she makes up for her inexperience with her passion and care for her animals. She also found that she, like most other wood-elves, is rather talented with a bow, loving the grace and power of the weapon. She still keeps her mother dear to her heart, though not able to see her as often as she would like. Instead, she focuses on bettering her craft, on helping those around her, and hoping, that one day, she will find a good elf to spend the rest of her life with.

 

Personality Traits: Rysgil is very quick thinking and light humored. She loves to make everyone around her laugh and smile. She doesn’t like to see any other being sad or down. She is also rather clever and appreciative of those who have come before her.

 

Ambitions: Rysgil has always longed to be a singer, though she has never be able to go after this dream. Instead, she follows a different dream, saving animals across the island.

 

Strengths/Talents: Rysgil is very strong-willed, once she puts her mind to a task she sees it through. No matter the consequences

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Rysgil is extremely trusting of other people. She does not know how to question the intentions of others. Also, she does not know how to say no to a person asking for help. Her caring nature almost forces her to help those that ask for her assistance.

 

Appearance: Rysgil has light auburn hair, olive green eyes, and her hair braided with purple violets, her favorite flower. She wears a simple flower crown, which her mother gave to her, woven again with violets. She also wears a simple dress of green and brown cloth that she made herself, and a simple belt.
