Biography:

 

Amazigh al Badawi was born in sand, and like every other Qalasheen, has a love-hate relationship with the desert. It is hot, dry, and like an ocean's horizon seemingly endless. Amazigh was raised in the traditional Qalasheen manner. He had no schooling, and instead was put to work with the rest of his siblings. Amazigh was fascinated by the stories of Fariz Kharadeen, and the Caliphate that supposedly united his people. For Amazigh, the caliphate was a very far away idea, away from the barren deserts he called home.

 

Life, very much like the desert, is unforgiving. Amazigh began to realize this at a very early age. With the death of his mother, Amazigh was to be the caregiver of his family, despite being the youngest of his four brothers. His father neglected his family, and instead would disappear in the nights, returning at the break of dawn with bloody steel and stolen booty. Amazigh's father earned himself a reputation of being ruthless, and in a land without laws but one own's honor, revenge is the only substitute for order.

 

Amazigh's father had narrowly escaped death when his tent was lit on fire, most likely by the relative of a man he had killed in his many duels. His father realized then the weight behind his actions, and fled to escape justice, leaving Amazigh and his brothers to find their own path. By then, Amazigh was old enough to have his own family, and so left he did. He had heard stories of places where grass didn't just grow in oasises, and where at times the rain was so cold it fell like soft ice. Amazigh, fascinated, left his desert homeland to travel north, pass Fi'Ceru to Istria, where he hopes to create a life of his own.

 

Personality Traits: Amazigh is inately curious. Despite coming from a deeply conservative culture, he is open minded to new ideas and somewhat tolerable to northern ideals. His patience is a virtue he earned from his mother, yet his father's abrasiveness can cause him to rile in the heat of the moment.

 

Ambitions: Amazigh has a deep interest in poetry and storytelling. Perhaps he wishes to one day be in one? But for now, Amazigh seeks to make a living through trade or some sort of profession.

 

Strengths/Talents: Amazigh can sing, though to non-Qalasheen ears his voice may seem unorthodox yet beautiful. Amazigh would lead in prayer with his voice, which was strong enough even at a very young age.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Amazigh isn't much of an athlete. He's average for a Qalasheen, but lacks moreso in the ability to fight.

 

Appearance: Amazigh is fairly tall, has dark brown skin tone, thick eyebrows, wooly hair, green eyes, and earring piercings. He wears a light robe and sandals, along  with a indigo colored tagelmust, or turban, covering his face.
