Hello ALL!

Albert here! The high Pumplar Primrose has given me the quite important job of sheriff of our fine warren, and, in the interest of halfling safety, I have decided to pen up this notice. I am not one for setting down hard and fast rules; that is for the thain to decide, and right now, we are not in a place to heavily enforce laws, so consider all I say in this notice as more of a collection of friendly suggestions.

 

Darkspawn?

The Warren has had several darkspawn attacks in the past. So if you spot any suspicious person around the Warren, please head towards the Warren and close the gate. If you are not able to escape to the Warren, defend yourself, or shout in a loud, clear voice that you are in trouble. If you haven't been killed or kidnapped, please report the event to me, either in person or via note.

 

Other folk?

Not all big folk wish our deaths. If such an individual comes to visit, act cautiously. Politely ask their business, then just as politely ask them to remove their shoes. If they do so, it shows they respect our culture, at least to some extent. If not, still act politely, but ask them firmly to leave. If they do not, refer to the darkspawn section of this notice.

 

Improper halfings?

Since the destruction of Amberdell, there has been a schism amongst the Halfings. There are some who, either through choice or ignorance, live improperly. If you encounter one, don't insult them or express pity to them, as this could engender hatred amongst us. If you feel it is appropriate, invite them to the Warren. If you feel this halfing is disrespectful of halfing life, or even worse, you know they have committed the crime of murdering their fellow halfing, do not invite them. If the offending halfing seems genuinely ashamed about his actions, keep their name in mind and tell me. I will then converse with the Grand Pumplar about the idea of some form of absolution.
