Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name: Daniel1709

How old are you?: 14

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT/United Kingdom

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I would say so.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a nice guy who enjoys gaming (obviously) and Roleplay. I enjoy playing with others and building stories, and from what friends have said this looks like a good server to do that.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Definitely a lot on weekends, and perhaps a bit on weekdays. Maybe 4, 5 hours max on weekdays, anything on weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is a way to enjoy stories in a much more interactive and interesting way. Whilst I really enjoy a good book, I find Roleplaying better as it's a story made by lots of people, as their characters interact.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've been on Mesalia, another Roleplaying server, since summer last year and as I've left that one I've decided to come here. I also briefly RP'ed in another couple of servers.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is taking anything OOC (information, for example locations of things) and bringing it IC. An example would be if you use OOC knowledge to make your character know about an elaborate IC plan that he'd have no idea of otherwise.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is forcing something on another character, for example deciding whether your attack harms them or not.

What do you expect this server will be like?: A huge, changing, functioning world in which everyone can have some fun with friends.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Mesalia, where I left because I seemed to lose touch with it; Terra Renatus, because it died... and I think that's it.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have read, understood and agreed to the rules.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do promise to abide by said rules and laws.

How did you hear about us?: I had heard discussions about Lord of the Craft before but a couple of friends got me genuinely interested.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I haven't.

In-Character:

Character Name: Poshatil (Or Shof'Bahr to friends/clan members)

What Race are you?: Orc

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Goblin.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

What follows is the story of Pashatil, the Goblin obsessed with flight. Pashatil started his life as a small, weak Goblin. Whereas his peers were working in forges he was outside watching and examining birds and insects. He was fascinated by their ability to fly when he couldn't, and this fascination lead to him being mocked by the other Goblins. As he grew, he began working on contraptions to allow him to fly as the birds did. He tried everything, cobbling together machines with scrap held together with his prayers. Of course, prayers make an awful adhesive and every single one of his flying machines ended in destruction. Needless to say, Pashatil didn't enjoy his childhood much. When the time came to test his usefulness to his Goblin tribe, he failed and was disowned by it, sent off to fend for himself in disgrace.

He took his tools and left, missing nothing of his previous life. He eventually stumbled across the Bahr clan, who's Elder had chosen to protect the element Air. Therefore the Elder appreciated and sometimes approved of Pashatil's machines. Pashatil finally belonged somewhere. However, this was not to last, as the kindly old Elder passed away. Pashatil, filled with deep sadness at the loss of the only person he was close to, demanded to become the Elder in his place. He felt that the old Elder would have wanted him to. He continued by claiming he could prove himself worthy of the position.

Pashatil decided the only way he and his machines were going to be appreciated by others is if he gains a reputation. So, he set out once again to find the Bahr clan's absent leader, who was out dealing with a bandit problem with the other races. Pashatil's ingenuity led to him becoming a great asset of the leader, Drog'Bahr. He catapulted himself into a bandit fort using a large slingshot and unlocked the doors, allowing Drog and some warriors into the fort to destroy the criminals. He left Drog, and went back to the Bahr clan.

Now they had heard of his exploits, the clan were suddenly much more welcoming of Pashatil. They give him his white bandana, the beginning of a ritual designed to signify an Orc's ascent from adolescence to adulthood. Though he was doing it quite late, having entered it at fifteen, he felt he needed to. He set out with nothing but a small spear, quickly navigating the sloping terrain of the land around the clan's settlement.

After a time, he found a cluster of goshawks. They were all circling a tree, occasionally diving toward it but being fended off by something. As Pashatil got closer, he realised that there was a magpie in a nest hidden by the tree's branches, protected from most of the hawks and stopping the others from getting to its eggs using an elaborate cage it had built from twigs and tree sap. Pashatil realised this resourceful bird would have to be the one he killed, but it would not be easy. He climbed up a tree and laid back, resting until the hawks left.

Later, that night, Pashatil awoke to realise that the hawks had left. He checked to see the magpie was still there and it was; in it's cage and resting. He smiled. The cage would only stop the poor bird from escaping quickly. He looked around him to try to work out a way to kill the bird. He grabbed some vines and prepared an ingenious trap.

Pashatil clambered up the tree that the magpie lived in and poked it's nest with a stick, dislodging some eggs and causing them to crash to the ground. The magpie was furious and attacked him; clawing at his exposed legs and arms. He waved his spear around, growling at the irritating magpie. As it realised Pashatil wasn't planning on stopping, it flew away and straight into his net surrounding the tree. Pashatil hastily stabbed it and brought it back to the clan.

Tradition would dictate that Pashatil gives the animal to the Elders and children to eat, but the way he had tried to pull the spear out of the magpie caused it's body to be torn apart and the spearhead to break apart inside it. The Elders, though approving of Pashatil's battered and tired appearance, denied the magpie. The children were less tactful and laughed at it, turning their noses up. Pashatil's shoulders slumped until a huge mass came up behind him. Drog took the magpie from his hands and made a big show of eating it in front of the others, looking like he was enjoying it. Pashatil's eyes widened as he saw this, confused as to why Drog would help him. Drog finished the magpie, nodded, then walked off. Pashatil was overcome with gratefulness.

It was down to this and a few other factors that when Drog had left a few years later and Tok had followed him, Pashatil was the first to respond to the Elder's request for an Orc to check up on how Tolk was faring with his search for Drog. Having become quite the formidable scout, able to survive alone for quite some time and able to adapt to many changes, the Elders immediately accepted him. He set off in the direction of the rumoured “new land” that Tok and possibly Drog were to be found in, at the age of twenty one.

What is your character's ambitions?: For people to love his new inventions, and for him to be more valuable than Nomadic Orcs to his superiors.

What is your character's favourite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel etc.): His brain, I guess. Or his machines. If he was forced to fight, he would use light axes or hatches.

What is your character's most skilled talents?: Inventing, and understanding flight. He's also as good as other Goblins at repairing things.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): [see attachment]

Other information about your character: He's quite a peaceful person, but isn't above defending himself or people close to him if need be.

Open-Response-Questions:

Whilst travelling to the from the cloud temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Pashatil would probably sneak around them, then distract the bandits with a small flying machine or something. Once the bandits were distracted, he'd take the halfling to a good hiding place.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? He'd probably grunt and indicate what he wanted, not being used to any positive attention from other races.

Whilst wondering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it is a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond? He would check it to see the house was empty and the owner far away before slipping in and taking the iron bars, possibly taking the golden sword if he was low on money.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they you in the common tongue, how do you respond? He would try to reply, either indicating food or piecing a request together in the common tongue. He speaks in a mixture of the common tongue, Orc and hand gestures. He hasn't spent a whole lot of time learning the former two, so he tends to improvise.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Pashatil would eagerly accept, looking forward to testing out an invention. He would explain how to use it to the guard, and then get into the camp himself. At night, he would try to sabotage the camp in any way possible and then wait for the guard to use his invention. Once they have, providing it's worked, he'll stay out of the main fighting.

A Few things that in the beginning, made me change my mind,

Catapulted himself into the fort

Then you showed me this, http://www.lordofthecraft.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=Orcs

Your Definition of Roleplaying throwed me off at first,

but then in Teamspeak you declared a proper definition noticeable to me

Then, I ran to your open response questions,

The first two weren't the best responses, but then you and Herro proved me wrong.

With those things flawed, I have nothing else to say, other then Accepted, though you had 1 or 2 slips, I feel sure that you will be able to pass heavily within LotC, you have a good friend named Herro that also has much thought into you and there forth I think you wont mess up.

I understand he didn't wait 24 hours, I requested for him to wait 3 hours as he used the proper format last time but the color coding messed up with it and so it seemed unreadable, this glitch has also been occurring for other posts.
