Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Eastern Time(US & Canada)

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a fun guy that follows the rules and try to make friends with people. I avoid confrontation and try my best to make everything good. I like video games, especially FPS(primarily Battlefield 3).

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 10 hours a week, more on holidays

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is basically where you act out a character and live out their lives until their death. You play a role and use your imagination to make the role believable.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I own(ed) 3 servers that were the RP genre. Before & During that period I play the VaultRP and few other RP servers.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Basically it is like you use OOC or the Minecraft names to find someone, or do something. It cheats the system and the game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Being over powered. Like John stabs Jim in the face five times and Jim is helpless during this time. It is as if you are just making your character a god.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Awesome, great RP, Nice community, well organized.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Fallout War Never Changes - Closed down

Skyrim: The Age of War - Closed down

Vault RP - Community began to suck

Lordran The Lost Souls - I own, therefore I play it still.

Iralith - Wasn't a very friendly community.

Yes, I find them quite fair and may disagree with the severity but I will oblige to them.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

Yes.

My old Co-Owner(we are related) left Lordran to join this server so I thought I might try it.

Yes, I have no idea.

Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character:

Character Name: Lautrec of Carim

What Race are you?: Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): N/A

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Lautrec was born in a small fishing village near Hanseti, called Carim. He was a stout individual, taller than most other kids born in that same year. His dad was the only one who survived from the Undead attack on Aegis. His father, Laurentus and his mother, Astrea, got on the ship and headed to Asulon. There, Lautrec was born, and his mother died of pain. His father cuddled his newborn as they threw the dead body off the ship. They landed in Asulon, and to stay away from the thieves and bandits in the new-found land, he headed to the deep snow, where he and a few other families made a small village.

Business and trade at Carim was bursting, as the food was much needed for Hanseti and other people traveling there. With the protection of a strong kingdom and lots of income, Carim was thriving. As was Lautrec and Laurentus, who went fishing everyday and played in the snow. They had fond memories of these days, and at 18, Laurentus became ill. Lautrec saw his father fade away, becoming one of those fond memories, taking care of him and treating him well. He knew Laurentus lived a good life, one by his son's side, enjoying every moment of it. As the years went by, too many people frequented the town, buying homes and fishing. So much that the fish who once lived there disappeared. The town had lost everything. All the families packed their bags and moved along, as everyone does in Asulon.

Soon, adventuring became a life for Lautrec. He learned so after years of exploring, when he was finally 24, he finally accepted that he may never find a home again. He lived with the fact and did what he found a new way of life, and explored the vast and expansive world of Asulon.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To be known. Renowned for something he did. To be told to children as a legend. Nothing more than to enjoy life and what it has to offer to all of us. His goals are still not known, but soon he may find an opportunity.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Axe, he likes the amount of strength it takes to use it.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Fighting, he likes the fight but doesn't do it unjustly.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Go to http://minecraft.novaskin.me/ and search my IGN in the name/URL bar.

Other Information about your Character: OOC: This was originally a Alt acc. But Denivire(my relative) doesn't want to use it. I have seen him play with the account a little and I liked what I saw. So I really want to use this without being penalized by Multi-logging. IC: Nope.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Lautrec, eager to help, but more eager to live, would weigh his chances. Not wanting to be teamed and get cut badly, ailing his ventures in Asulon, he would simply keep a mental note of what exactly happened, and to keep wary if he sees one of the two men, either together or not.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Lautrec falls to the floor, exhausted. He keeps one of his hands on his dagger, keeping a weak grasp, ready for anything. He proceeds to beg for food, and if they insist, he will pay a few minas for some food, and some directions on how to get to somewhere like Solace.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Lautrec takes the offer and unsheathes his axe, sharpening it on a stone slightly. He joins the orderly formation of guards and other brave warriors and smirks, marching out of the town, standing stout, ready to fight.

OOC NOTE: I am already whitelisted and implemented, but will NOT login until I am accepted.

After a bit of research I discovered a bit about your previous account.

You were ban reported before but not banned.

If you honestly wish for me to review this application it will be denied then here goes:

Denied.

Your definition of power-gaming is incorrect.

In lord of the craft we use an RP definition of power-gaming, rather than an RPG definition. While these may seem like the same thing, we can loosely judge that an RPG definition would fit in with games such as World of Warcraft or Skyrim, and the RP definition would fit in with games such as D&D or other person to person Roleplaying. Please do not confuse the definition we use to the definition that other Roleplaying groups may use, relating to creating a character which is too powerful, or doing an “overpowered” action; this is not the definition we use. To make sure you have the correct definition you can either have a look at the Lord of the Craft wiki, or by joining our Team Speak channel (send me a message if you need help getting started) and asking an experienced member. I would also like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

Your definition of meta-gaming is incorrect.

Your current definition of metagaming is half-true and unclear. There are very few definitions of meta-gaming so it would be rare that you could confuse meta-gaming with another term. I would suggest that you go back to researching (or perhaps begin to research if you guessed the definition) and find out a correct definition pertaining to Roleplaying. I suggest that you do a Google search for the term, look on the Lord of the Craft wiki or join our Team Speak channel. Please do remember that plagiarising (copying someone else’s work) may warrant you a temporary or permanent ban from applying to the server: so don’t do it! I would also like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

You need to have a character last name.

Unless you have a specific reason for why you do not have a last name of your character, you need to write a last name to show that you have put some in-depth thought processes into developing and creating your character.

Biography.

You need to complete the entire biography, detailing all your characters history, age, personality and description. We also like to see little role-play quirks such as habits like the constant brushing back of a fringe, or the scratching of an itchy palm.

Your have used incorrect formatting of the application.

You need to re-copy the application format. Make sure you have copied the text from the white box and not anywhere else. Also make sure that you do not delete anything in [these square brackets] as they are vital to keep the colour, boldness and size of the text. If you are having trouble because your entire application turns out in funny colours, make sure that you are writing your answers on a line underneath the question, as this is a common error and can mess up the formatting of your application.

Your answers to the favourite tool/best skill questions are underdeveloped.

You need to justify why you have chosen the choices you have. It is all well and good that your character can run really fast, or is light on their feet; but why?

You need to embed the screenshot of your skin.

For me to accept you I must be able to view your skin as I need to judge whether it is acceptable for this server, reason being if someone joins this server, but do not show their skin but they have a Tron skin on I would be in big trouble, but for me to be able to view your skin it must also be embedded. The reason your skin needs to be embedded is because recently people have been linking some dangerous websites to where the image of their skin has been hosted. To avoid this we request that the image is directly linked to this website either as an upload or being embedded into the post itself. You can do this by following this tutorial:

1. Go in-game and press the “F5” button TWICE. (Not once as this will show the back of your character)

2. Take a screen shot by pressing the "PrntScr" button on a windows computer or press F2 on the keyboard, then go to start => Run and type in this: %appdata%/.minecraft/screenshots

3. Find the screenshot and open it in an image manipulation program such as Paint or Gimp.

4. Crop the image so that only the area close to your skin (including the skin) remains.

5. Save the file and go to tinypic.com

6. Upload the file

7. Click ONCE on the text box underneath: "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards"

8. Right click and copy the entire text

9. Paste in your new application

*Note* If you want a tutorial for Macs, please send me a message on the forums.

Some or all of your answers to the Open Response questions need a lot of improvement.

Instead of describing what your character would do, you need to assume that your character is in the situation and acting as they would in that situation. You need to describe a scene of RP. This means that you cannot write “If this happens, then my character would do that.” As this shows that you are not Roleplaying, you are answering the question from what you think that your character might do. You need to show us that you know who your character is, you know what the situation is and you know how your character is going to react.

This also means that you need to write in full RP. For example:

Josh talks to the shopkeeper, buys a few apples, pays the shop keeper and leaves. X BAD

Josh walks up to the man standing behind the rough oaken market stand. The sounds of a busy market can be heard all around him. An annoying fly buzzes around his head, so he absent-mindedly begins to inefficiently swat it away. “Ah, greetings shopkeeper! I was just browsing your wares.” The shopkeeper nods at Josh and then turns towards another customer to attempt to assist them the way all market shopkeepers must. Suddenly Josh felt a slight tugging sensation on his belt. He was about to brush it off as nothing, perhaps just someone bumping into him until he realised his belt was slightly lighter. He noticed a man beginning to run off in the opposite direction of himself. He glanced down to see that his coin purse was missing. He put two and two together and then shouted at the top of his lungs. “STOP THEIF!”… √ GOOD!

We expect that you write in full RP and that you write a full paragraph or more for each question.

If you have any questions about my feedback, or would like to create some constructive criticism about the way I give feedback (I.E am I being TOO blunt, or am I coming across rude) then please send me a message! I take all questions, none are stupid! :) You are not allowed to apply again for a full 24 hours.
