Orchinwood Current Age: 20 Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): My childhood was a pretty bland one. My father was mostly out hunting for food and mother was usually selling fathers hunted materials at the market. Not much ever happened but the day I turned 16, my father took me hunting for the first time. It was the most dangerous thing I had ever done. Before my 16th birthday, my father took me to bow practice and I was pretty good if I might say so myself. So we went hunting, but it was a bad day for a new hunter like me. The snow was high and it was extremely hard to walk anywhere without tripping on something hidden in the snow. The dwarves took advantage of this. They stormed us from the left. I got one arrow out before they killed father. The arrow was a hit. I ran home for my life, but the dwarves weren't chasing me anymore. I'm lucky to be alive and I'm hunting for revenge.Ambitions for the Future: Kill all of those damned dwarves!Personality: Cruel, athleticSkills: Hunting, bow shootingAppearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):Wood elf archer Any other details you wish to share about your character: Must...get...REVENGE!!!!Open-Response-QuestionsEach question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event infull. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?Answer: Get out my bow and shoot close to them but purposefully miss them. They begin to charge. I manage to get two more arrows out before one of them catches my robe. I fall to the ground, screaming and unsheathing my sword to strike with. The elder of the village hears my screams and runs over, only to find 5 high elves...dead in front of me.2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses infront of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?Answer: I run up to him and ask "Are ye ok?" He replies "Yes, I'm fine" I gather up his coins and put them back in the pouch. I give the man an escort home and as thanks he gives me 5 gold coins.3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).Answer: I say "Me robe dirty and bloody from those damned high elves. Ye got anythin' in there fer me?" The trader replies "I got some padded body armor in there if that's what yer lookin' fer" "That's perfect, how much do ye charge?" I asked "50 gold coins" The trader said "50 gold coins!? it's just a measly chest plate! I'll pay 25 gold coins or I'll have yer head!" I exclaimed The trader replied "Oh, you ain't ever heard of emerald encrusted armor, have ye?" "No, why would ye encrust a chest plate with such a valuable mineral?" I asked "Legends say it gives you mystical powers. If you want it, it's 35 coins" The trader said I reply "Deal" We shake hands and I recieve the item and pay for it. I feel much safer now with an emerald encrusted chest plate and I'm confident about killing all of those dwarves!
o_Ben_o 193 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Please wait 24 hours before re-applying or face instant Denial One or More of your definitions are incorrect or slightly wrong. Please go over each of your definitions and make sure you understand what they mean in the terms of role play. Also please add examples to each of your definitions so we can make sure you understand completely what each definition means. Your Biography was far too short, i would suggest it being 3 paragraphs long at minimum. Also try to make sure you are using server lore, this will make your application a lot better and will also give you a quick learning adventure about Lord Of The Craft. Also go into detail about your character and maybe talk about a key event in his life or talk about his strengths and weaknesses The more detail about your characters life the better as it will tell us, The Application Team that you understand your characters role on Lord Of The Craft. Server Lore can be: Language, Place names, Characters, events, etc.. You can find a lot of server lore and interesting facts on the Lord of the Craft Wiki and many threads on the Elvenn Role-Play Forums. Here are the links to each. Elven Wiki page Elven Role Play Forum If you need any more help on Lore or have any questions feel free to ask a lore master or member of the Application Team. I am sure they will be happy to help. Also I would say your skin is far to common and I have seen this before. I would suggest you find find a new skin either made by you or someone else which is more original and unique for your character. Your Character Questions are too short, please answer these with a paragraph long answer. This will re-assure us that you understand your character well enough to role play with it. In your Open-Response-Questions i can see that you have made an attempt to set them out like role play but it is not at an acceptable standard. Firstly I would like to see more effort put into each and you to go into more detail for each question. Then also I think it would be easier if you switched tenses from the 1st tense to the 3rd tense so you can narrate your story instead of write it out as if it was from your point of view. For example: Edward looks around the Inn and notices a man tucked away in the corner. The man is wearing dark robes with a hood resting over his head. He walks across the room towards the man before calling over "Oi You! Come over here!" The man looks up towards Edward and gasps before attempting to get up and flee. I think by using this method your Open-Response-Questions will flow more and can be read more fluetly. Hope this helped. Good luck with your next application Ben~
