Dhaen Grandaxe sits behind the bar quietly sorting through some papers. Her eyes briefly glance at the word magic on one of them and she has a sudden memory of Grandor’s magical outburst at the cottage. She shivers at remembering the power displayed and takes a sip of her ale, pushing away her imagination to return to the present. ((OOC: Felt that maybe tying the cottage scene to it would be fun. Great read though! ? ))

Born into a commoner family in the halls of the Urguan Kingdom, Dhaen Odeweaver is a young mountain dwarf with her sights set on the world. Apprenticed to a jeweler in her youth, Dhaen quickly began to recognize the beauty in the jewels and orders she handled. However, she also spent most of her childhood days listening to her grandmother recite some of the tales of Dwarven lore, such as the Tale of Ondnarch. These combined experiences led Dhaen to discover her love for all forms of written art, with poetry being her favorite. Following her 20th birthday, Dhaen found herself growing quickly disillusioned with low-life Dwarven society and longed for true inspiration for her blossoming poetry obsession. After discovering the rumors of the High Elven libraries and the Kingdom of Man’s prolific writers, she realized that the only way to sate her lust for writing material and knowledge in general was to travel. This being said, she is determined to only leave when a proper opportunity presents itself. For now, Dhaen maintains a spot in her family business as an up-and-coming jeweler.
