Alfric Leif was born in 1725 in Arcas and for most of his life believed fully in the Red Faith. He often fought people as a child, hoping it would train him for when he died. Alfric left his family when he was 18, in hopes of finding a worthy opponent. After a few months of fighting people and being severely injured several times, Alfric had finally found, in his eyes, a worthy opponent. However, instead of dying, Alfric was spared, but not before losing his right eye. After this day, Alfric had begun to question his belief in the Red Faith and if he should continue his ways. Alfric had found out later that his family was killed in an accident, sending him into a depressive state. He believed that he should’ve died during the fight where he lost his eye, removing his belief in the Red Faith almost completely. Two years passed, and Alfric had traveled to the City of Sutica. Alfric had coped with the death of his family and the loss of his eye by drinking as much alcohol as possible, but after he almost died while drunk, he stopped. His belief in the Red Faith was partially restored, but still not completely. He had hoped that traveling to the City of Sutica would fully restore his faith, but he had no idea if this would work or not.
