on one hand image formatted posts are really pretty but on the other if the link breaks or you’re not on signal/wifi you don’t get to see anything

  Fully agreed. We appear to have had the exact same thought at the same time lol. I just made a thread about this. There are other reasons image-only posts are not ideal, including inaccessibility to users with certain disabilities.
