Adorellan An’asul, Okarir’sil of Haelun’or, looked long upon the missive, and his gaze grew dim with grief. For a time he spoke not, and a weary sigh escaped from him at last. “The hope I had so long sheltered within my heart is no more. A fool I was, daring to believe that she had turned from the road that led her ever farther from me. I have taken her into my care, a daughter she was in my eyes, and all that I could give her, I gave, be it my counsel, my patience and my love - that she might find her way beneath kinder stars. Yet, now the bitter hour has come. She shall depart from my house and bear my name no more, and it shall remain as is despite my grief.” “Alas, that it should end thus.” Adorellan then cast the missive aside. No more words he wished to speak. And silent in his grief, he turned and departed to his chambers, taking with him three bottles of Visaj red, so that he may drown his sorrows, and refuge himself from the ache of a father’s broken heart.

Adorellan An'asul at last found a moment of peace after the burdens of a very long day. He reclined upon his accubitum, the Haelun'or Gazette in one hand and two bottles of Visaj red in the other, ready to enjoy the rare luxury of silence. His eyes drifted across the pages until, to his satisfaction, he found his own name upon it. Nodding followed promptly, for the gazette had indeed spoken to him in flattering terms. Then his eyes reached the end of the passage. He stopped. He blinked. He leaned closer. Blinking again, this time with the grave horror of an elf witnessing good wine being wasted. "I must be dreaming. Who put my name there?" He roared, for at last he understood that his name was written beneath the forsaken Bachelorette section of the journal. "ATLYN" He called out to his Tilruir'sil. "I believe it is time- " The Okarir'sil declared, rising with fury. " -that we pay a visit to this Gazette. Gather a force. We shall raid the printing room and uncover the villain behind this scandal." A pause, looking down at the Gazette again. "And bring my wine, this is an emergency!"

« A snail race??? » Inquired the Okarir’sil in an energetic fashion. « Count me in! »

"And so it came to pass that the Silver City is raised anew, wrought in marble fair; its halls beneath the mountain tall, where torchlight gleams as stars kindled in the deep places of the earth!" Beamed a flower-crowned elf most joyous, smiling bright as he peered upon the many mali'thill flocking to the hidden city.

I second this! AY’THE SILVER LADY! AY’LARIHEI!

"Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya" Roared the flower-crowned Elf. “So is the design of our Sohaer; therefore shall I trust his counsel, and set my full faith in the newly appointed Sohaer. May her reign be one of prosperity, despite these troubled days; and may she raise a new city of wrought marble- its spires lifted high, while the birds dance about them in the wind."
-
"May he be lifted in the great halls of his fathers, in whose mighty company he shall now not be ashamed." Bade the flower-crowned elf, inclining his head in deep respect. Then his voice softened, and a gentler mirth returned to his eyes. "To honor him, I shall do as he would have wished: drink a stout ale in good company, and drink a second stout ale in further good company!"
-
“Ah, finally! ElMaheral! Words of reason are being spoken.” Beamed the flower-crowned elf, a bright and true smile returning to light his face. “A rare sight to behold these days - I was starting to think reason and good decisions had been hunted alongside us also.”
-
“Uthir of Haelun’or?” The flower-crowned elf repeated, squinting as though trying to decipher a joke only he had not been told. He let out the driest laugh ever produced by elf-kind. “Oh dear… best start digging the ditch now - Oh, and get him a coffin too. Does he not know that title comes with a complimentary execution?” His smile crumbled instantly and shook his head, wholly unamused, as though already mourning what horrors would soon fester in his beloved home. “Never shall the folk of Haelun’or endure such foolishness and idiocy. You may tie a ribbon around a pig, but it remains a pig all the same.”

Hope of Judgement | The Fall of Haelun'or
Lumipire replied to Barbarus's topic in The Church of the True Faith
“They stain the very name of God by cheering the death of innocents.” Exclaimed the flower-crowned elf as laughter spilled from him, filled with sorrow. “Fools! They revel in blood and call it righteousness, yet in their frenzy they cannot see how far they have strayed from the light they claim to serve. Their hubris shall be the death of them. Blinded by wrath, swift to cast judgement, deaf to mercy.” He shook his head, bitterness flickering in his eyes like candle’s fire. “Fools!” He repeated as he parted, the sound of his footsteps fading in the distance. -
Truly based brother! Can't wait to see frost orks coming back. Good stuff!

A white-silvered-haired Mali’aheral, once bright with joy and mirth, wept. For he had prayed the tidings were naught but falsehoods. Rumors spun by the foes of the Silver State, crafted to sow panic and tarnish its muster. Yet truth, cruel and cold, unveiled itself before him. Still, he clung to hope - or perhaps to a gentle delusion. And with a half-smile caught between sorrow, he turned away. The sound of his footsteps fading softly into the distance.
