Yoau’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Bajaba Batto offered a polite nod and took a seat on the offered cushion, his eyes briefly scanning the dimly lit surroundings. With a calm yet curious tone, he began to recount his travels. "Well, you see, I'm Bajaba Batto, a Farfolk of Madyar decent. My journey has taken me through many lands, from lush forests to vast deserts. I've always been drawn to the mysteries and wonders that the world has to offer. There is something fascinating about the diverse cultures and unique stories found in every corner." He paused for a moment, his eyes meeting the old hag's gaze. "I heard whispers of this swampy town in my travels, tales of ancient secrets and untold histories. it piqued my curiosity, so here I am, seeking to uncover the stories hidden within these murky waters. Perhaps you, wise one, can shed some light on the mysteries that linger in the shadows of this dim town." Continuing his tale, Bajaba Batto wove in the threads of his past with sincerity. "In my youth, the allure of the wilderness called to me, and I could not resist its beckoning. One evening, I ran away from my home, venturing into a dense forest. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the forest transformed into a labyrinth, and I soon found myself lost in its depths." He took a thoughtful pause as he recalled the memories. "The night arrived, and in the darkness, I stumbled and fell into a swift river, carried by its current, fate guided me to the camp of travelling merchants, kind souls who took me in and taught me the ways of survival." Bajaba Batto's gaze returned to the old hag, his eyes reflecting nostalgia. "Those experiences shaped me, and I have embraced the path of a wanderer ever since. The world is vast and full of wonders, and I have come here seeking the hidden stories that may intertwine with my own." Acknowledging the old hag's inquisitive gaze upon his makeshift armor, he added another layer to his narrative. "As you may have noticed, wise one, my attire is not the usual armor one might expect. These sheet metal plates, a humble purchase from a passing merchant, serve as my protective companion during my wanderings. White it lacks the refinement of true armor, it's proven quite effective against the elements and the unpredictable challenges that nature throws my way." He gestured to the sheet metal covering parts of his attire. "These woods and swamps can be treacherous, and a bit of extra protection goes a long way. The armor may not be forged in the fires of skilled blacksmiths, but it has weathered storms, thorns, and the unforgiving wilderness." Leaning forward slightly, Bajaba Batto continued, "Every dent and scratch tells a story of survival, a testament to the resilience needed when exploring the unknown. And so, adorned in the humble defenses, I continued my journey, ever curious and ready for the mysteries that await."
