Lothar Eliasevic would look upon the missive, his old-man-smile slowly growing on his face as he read.
-
Lothar looks upon the letter posted onto the noticeboard in Belgrade, "I will have to get a portrait of myself!" he thought to himself.
-
Lothar stood, watching. An utter look of disgust and horror upon his face. He could hear them. John Jenkins, Radomir Sarkozic. Calling to him. Begging. Begging to be let out. But he knew it wasnt real. He had seen both of them perish. He had been there and seen it when it happend. It was not them, couldnt be them. But why then, why did it feel so real? His eyes went blank, only the reflection of the fire in his eyes. He saw fire. But not the fire of that day. A long gone fire, a fire that was not forgotten. He forced his eyes open. He was flat on his back, laying in the dirt. Streams of sweat flowing from his face. "Dark days lie ahead," he thought to himself.

Lothar's eyes narrow and his mouth hangs half open with his spoon of porridge suspended halfway to his mouth as he sits in The Basking Turtle reading the missive "Public stoning, Accusing, Tax for being a citizen..?" He mouths something, but no speech comes out, as he does not find words strong enough to express his confusion. He finally shakes his head and mutters with an amused chuckle, "This must be some sort of Joke!" clearly not taking it seriously.

Lothar Eliasevic sat in the captains office of the Sarkozic Guard, gently sipping a warm coffie as he read the missive. A smile would start to form upon his lips as his eyes moved down the parchment.
-
Lothar stands in the courtyard of the broken city, scratching his head. "On earth is this?" He wonders before shrugging and heading on his way

Lothar looks at the clothing to be auctioned, a pained look upon his face. He moves his hand down into his pocket. It is lighter than before, his money pouch. "Swords, axes and prostetics are quite expensive..." he sighs.

Private Investigator Lothar Eliasevic walked into the quiet town square, one hand behind his back, another at his pipe. It was raining and any clue was washed away except fot the clump of tan hair. He bends over to eye it properly. His eyes narrow. "It seems we have an abduction" he says taking a good drag of his pipe. The smoke going up into the dark night. PI Lothar Eliasevic stands there.. pondering... Then his face lights up. He has an idea...

Lothar sighs heavily. He is sitting within The Basking Turtle in Adria, a cold beer at his side this warm afternoon. "I am not so sure that I am a fan of these post-war times... Everything seems to be going downhill..." He looks out into the empty room. He finishes the beer and stands up.

Lothar Eliasevic reads through the decree swiftly. "This is good stuff," he gently hums before walking off to whatever he was doing before...

pkpost The Life and Death of Sebastian Lasarus Cassius I.
Lothar posted a topic in Character Graveyard
The Life and Death of Sebastian Lasarus Cassius I Early Life The Darkelf (Mali’ker) was born in the year 251 SA. His childhood was troubling, as his mother died during his birth and his father was an alcoholic, spending most of his time away from him. He had no siblings and no known cousins. The name given to him by his father was Lasarus. For most of his life, he went by either Sebastian or Cassius, though he used Lasarus (often heard as Lazaruz because of his French-ish accent) as an alias during the last few years of his life. Later Life During his short life, in both human and elven standards, he lived in many places. The first place he called home was a hole located in a shed next to the tavern in Alduun, but after living there and working his way up, he bought a house in the same city. During this time in Alduun, Cassius developed a severe hatred toward the empire and its vassals. The exact moment of his radicalization is hard to pinpoint, but he traveled to Cerulia during the time of Urguan, where he met people who shared his beliefs. The fate of those people is not known at this time. He was still living in Alduun when he bought his house in Cerulia. After living in Cerulia for about a year, Cassius had been radicalized to the point where he was ready to join the resistance. It was around this time that he would start his criminal life. He committed many robberies. Some of the most notable ones include a mugging in Adria, where he ran a man named Rudolf over with a horse and fought off two more before fleeing on his horse. He was later recognized by one of the people who had seen the mugging while he was in Alduun, but he was able to convince them it wasn't him who had done it. This would become a recurring thing. After a few months of living in both Cerulia and Alduun, the largest crime at the time was committed: the arson of Amdir 3 in Alduun. The house was burned to a crisp, and when it was investigated, blood was found spattered all over. During his short months in captivity, he claimed that the arson was carried out to hide the evidence of the many bodies he had hidden there. This remains unclear to this day. After this, he fled to Cerulia and made frequent visits to The Horde and the lands around. There, he ordered a small knife that he carried around for the next year. On one occasion, he entered Kurai-Kuni, in the city of Junmura, where, after being told that a poem he wrote to sell was bad, he attempted to kill a man named Bojangles Buckler, who had told him it was bad. He then went to Alduun (he was not yet known as the arsonist at this time), where he was recognized by a Junmurian who had seen him die. But, like before, he managed to smooth-talk his way out of this, too. He would flee the city once more. After Cerulia fell, and later the capital city of Urguan, Cassius wandered the lands. He visited Alduun many times during this period, as well as the Esberian Hunter’s Guild, which sits in the forest by Belgrade in Adria. It was here that he was recognized by a man named Wyllm O’Riley, who later played a larger role in his capture and execution. Cassius managed to get out of the situation, but not for long. On a later date, when he was once again in Alduun, he slipped up while talking to a fellow Ker and used the name Cassius instead of Lazaruz. Wyllm, who found him in the guild’s tavern, heard this slip-up, prompting him to question Cassius about his identity. Cassius then attempted to flee the gates, where he was eventually tackled and brought in for questioning once again. But, as before, he managed to convince some of the guards that he wasn't the arsonist and mugger from earlier. Therefore, with the jury split, he did not receive the death penalty. Instead, he was sentenced to pay a fine of 24 mina (the value of the house), then serve a year of community service in Alduun. After that, he would be banished from Idunia for five years, and if he showed up, he would be killed on sight. Cassius paid his fine and brought a guard named Willeon d'Artagnan down to the farms below Alduun to gather straw. While the guard wasn’t looking, Cassius pulled his blade on him, and after a long, hard duel, Cassius came out victorious, having smashed Willeon in the forehead with the pommel of his sword. He then robbed the unconscious guard and fled once again south. Willeon survived the injury thanks to Lothar Eliasevic, a local business owner and Guards Captain, who found him with a stroke of luck and brought him to Alduun. As of this writing, Willeon d’Artagnan is still around and can be found in and around Alduun, still serving as a guard. The Weeks Leading Up to His Execution After fleeing to Cerulia one last time, he contacted the people he knew from earlier. He then proceeded, by the cover of night, to flee to the desolate capital of the dwarfs. From there, he followed the eastern shore up to Caurost to once again communicate with his contacts. It was there he found out that he was being hunted by two parties led by Ser Îlmârion Callaghan. The names of the members of the party are as follows: Bronadron Callaghan, Wyllm O'Riley, Asad, Aled Glennmaer, Willeon d'Artagnan, Toren d'Artagnan, Julia Pachakutiq, and Cairos. From Caurost, through the Forest of Iryalen, into Illivira, he once again contacted his allies for the last time. After leaving Illivira, he turned his gaze west and rode through the geyser lands into the snowy lands. When he reached the small fishing village located in the center, he lit a fire in one of the houses before going into hiding. A few days later, the party of hunters reached the village. They searched through it, and Ser Îlmârion found him inside one of the houses. There was a quick exchange of hits and parries before he called for court and surrendered. His weapons and armor were returned to Willeon, from whom they had been taken, and they rode back to Alduun, where Cassius was thrown in jail to await the day of his execution. The Day of the Execution On the night leading to the 16th of The Amber Cold year 277, Cassius was taken out of the cell in which he had spent the past month being questioned about The Salvo, his murders, and other crimes. He was brought out to the courtyard to face his punishment. Ser Îlmârion stood as judge, and he was sentenced to death by firing squad for the following, by either confession or eyewitness accounts: five counts of murder, if not more; four counts of attempted murder; one count of fleeing the Guard; and one count of arson. Below is a transcript of his last words: He was again gagged for the execution to take place. But he managed to fight the gag off and shout a few last words. Exact words were not noted down, but he died shouting death upon Emperor Hadrian and the Empire itself. He was killed by 2 arrows and 3 bolts to the chest, before he was taken outside the city, where his body was burned. Sebastian Lasarus Cassius proclaimed himself ‘Saint Sebastian Lasarus Cassius I’ before he died. He died at the age of 26, being 6’5” and weighing approximately 170 lbs. His ties to The Salvo and ‘The Dark Lord’ or ‘Dâhak Xârxes’ remain unclear to this day, as does the total count of murders.- 5 replies

"Finally..." Lothar sighs as he reads the latest news. He looks up from the paper, and the warm Adrian sunlight hits his face. He can hear the water trickling beneath Memorial Bridge. The birds are singing in the nearby trees as he gets up from his seat at the edge of the bridge and starts to head into Belgrade. "...Peace at last..." he smiles.

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Lothar sits down. He starts talking. "I was raised up north in Skarnhavn, my father died before i was born and my mother died during the raid of Hamorstrand" "After it was clear that she was gone I was sent to an orpanage where i later was adopted into a band of merchants heading south. There a man named Aedan and his wife took me in as their own. Aedan was a hunter by profession and a Bard by hobby. He took it upon himself to teach me the sound of strings, both bow and Lute." The old woman nods in thought as Lothar continues. "From there I had journeys all over the country and growing better with the strings and voice as the days passed. After a few years when i had seen more winters another memeber of the company taught me how to use a sword. Although I had much training I still prefer the bow over a blade." Lothar coughs a bit before he falls silent.
