  2. I would request that any mention of myself or the practices of www.celestialdreams.net be withdrawn and\or avoided from here on out. We are every bit as concerned as you by what happened recently because it represents an attack on the greater minecraft role-playing community. As such, I wish to assert that any attacks made upon LotC and it's services were in no way associated with or condoned by www.celestialdreams.net and its staff. With that being said, I humbly request that any further attempts at defamation, inadvertent or intended, against Celestial Dreams to cease. We take the integrity of our services very seriously. Any formal complaints or protest can be made to me, preferably, by e-mail at [email protected]. I would like to thank the FM's of LotC in advance for moderating any further flame posts against other servers. With all my best regards, I remain: Sincerely yours, CountJuno88 Chief Moderator Celestial Dreams

  5. I've been in the vaults. The only thing that Syrio keeps in there is his cookie jar collection. You might be able to weasel 100,000 minas out of him if you hold those hostage.
  6. *The Mysterious Elf walks by and, after hearing the curious mix of loud voices, strolls up to the crowd to get a better listen. After hearing their accusations of witchcraft and demonic forces, the Mysterious Elf scratches the tip of his ear as if in thought. He then chuckles and yells out, "Excuse me!" *The crowd, caught off guard by the sudden exclamation, turns towards the mysterious elf with blank expressions. The mysterious elf smiles nervously and pointing his finger to the sky in a matter-of-fact manner speaks, "Have any of you given way to the thought that she might, perhaps, be a fabled short eared elf? Would that not explain her long life?" *As the crowd continues to stare blankly at him, the mysterious elf backs away slowly with a timid smile and then trots down the road leaving the crowd to return to its heated argument.
  7. One of the other things we discussed is that you wouldn't have to lose Karik. You could transform it into more of a sacred hall of the Dwarven ancestors. Would be almost like a place where Dwarves could go on pilgrimage, as a right of passage, or to seek wisdom from Urguan and the great Dwarves of old.
  8. If a majority of the Dwarves have abandoned Karik to move to other places, then perhaps abandoning Karik would be a viable role-playing option. Would be interesting to see what could happen in that regard. If Karik is empty, then there is no way that it could be defended. Of course, as a Dwarf, you could be stubborn and sit on the throne until you die, but it could give your race a unique story in the fact that many dwarves have moved away from the grand halls to pursue a different life. Karik will always be there. I for one would like to see the Dwarves fighting for the right to stake a claim to the capital city being that it is the crown jewel of the Dwarven Nation, but Brent, you must realize, if there are only two Dwarves besides yourself in Karik, then getting together an army to conquer Holm would not sound very believable in RP, so to speak. Instead of demanding the return of the Dwarves, why don't you all get together out-of-character and plan a big elaborate campaign to restore the Dwarven nation. We don't have to settle every issue with war claims and PvP battles. Epic story arcs are much more fun and involving for all players than a 10 minute PvP battle that decides the future of a whole race. Let's work together and create a story of epic proportions as the dwarves begin their journey to reclaim Karik and restore the honor of the Dwarves. Just something to consider.
  9. I have great faith in the role-playing capabilities of our player base, I just want to make sure that an idea as good as this one is implemented and regulated in the best possible way.
  10. Such an event like this would be fun, but it would also require the players to be capable of role-playing the plague without power-gaming or going overboard with the role-playing. Also, you must remember that you cannot centralize a disease, once you release it, it will spread and next thing you know it will have infected all of Asulon. A zombie apocalypse is something I would quite rather avoid, but everyone in Asulon sneezing on each other would also be rather boring. I encourage you to continue working on an ideal manner in which to implement and then continue this role-playing event.

  12. *looks over his diplomatic reports and notices one detailing the speech given in Renatus. "The Empire of Renatus?" *takes a moment to chuckle to himself. "How can a nation claim themselves to be an Empire when they are but one city? Did they conquer Hanseti and Salvus and demand allegiance to this Empire? Tis utter foolishness, this." *tosses the report to the side and continues on to the rest of his work.
  13. Voting period has officially ended! Thanks to all who participated!
  14. OOoooo. Some late surprises are arising. Should be an interesting ending. Keep on voting! Only 4 hours and thirty minutes remain!
  15. The names were randomly ordered to provide fairness. Do not worry. If the votes are too close, I shall call for a run-off with fewer nominees that will fit all down into one section if necessary.
  16. Topic open, poll re-arranged, and votes reset. Due to having so many nominees, I was forced to randomly split the nominees into two sections, so you shall have one vote in Section 1 and another vote in Section 2. Voting period ends at 11:59 pm CST on Sunday, February 5, 2011.
  17. The voting period for the four remaining positions on the Asulon Improvement Committee has begun! As you can see, the list is quite long, and since you only get one vote in each section, choose wisely and only for the person you feel most qualified for the job for they shall be representing you. If you do not see a nominee up their, then it means that they did not meet a certain requirement and we invite them to try again next time. The Staff of Lord of the Craft congratulates Dawn, Volutional, Ned_Lud, and Blundermore for being chosen to occupy the first four seats on the Committee, so you shall not see their names on the ballot. We look forward to see who the community votes for to join these four players on the Asulon Improvement Committee. Best of luck!
  18. Accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft!
  19. Alright current nominees. I need to be made aware as to whether or not you have actually accepted your nomination. If you have been nominated, I need you to send me a private message stating the following: 1. Whether or not you accept or deny your nomination. 2. State why you are serious about your nomination to the Asulon Improvement Committee. This data will allow me to know who is serious about running and who is not. Those who do not submit this information will not be put on the ballot. The staff needs to know that the player's who have chosen to accept their nomination are serious about this job. I look forward to the nominee's replies.
  20. Greetings Asulon! In order to answer the call of the player base for more representation in matters of the server, we are beginning a new experimental committee. I present to you the Asulon Improvement Committee. The Asulon Improvement Committee shall be charged with the task of representing the needs of the player base of the Lord of the Craft role-playing server in a professional manner to the administration and staff of the aforementioned server. The Committee shall be composed of a total of eight (8) members. Four (4) of these members shall be selected by the Administration/Staff of the server while the other four (4) members shall be elected by means of a majority vote by the player base of Lord of the Craft. Eligibility Requirements In order to qualify for a nomination to the committee, the nominee must be an active player on the server for two (2) months or more, the nominee cannot have received any type of a ban (server, teamspeak, or forum) or have received any major disciplinary action for one (1) month or more, and the nominee must have a sincere desire to represent the needs of the players in a productive manner to the staff of Lord of the Craft. Election Process For the four (4) players appointed by the administration, a list of nominees will first be composed by the Global Moderators and the Game Masters. This list shall then be submitted to the Administrative staff who will then appoint four (4) players from the list to serve as committee members for the prescribed term. In order to run for one of the four (4) committee members’ positions voted upon by the player base, a player must first be nominated by any member of the player base. A player cannot nominate themselves. There is no limit on the amount of nominee’s, but there are restrictions on who may be nominated as described above. A total of five (5) days shall be the length of time for the nomination period. Once nominations are closed, a poll will be made on the forums of all the nominee’s names and the player’s shall be allowed to vote. The voting period shall be two (2) days. At the end of the voting period, the four players with the highest vote counts shall be granted the position of committee member. Term of Service Committee members, upon elections, will serve a term of two months. Their are no restrictions, however, on how many times a player can serve on the committee as long as he or she receives the necessary votes and still meets the Eligibility Requirements. A committee member is allowed to resign from the committee if he or she feel that it is necessary. In this case, the person with the next highest vote count shall be promoted to the empty position. A committee member can also be dismissed from the committee if he or she is found to have broken any of the server, forum, or teamspeak rules. This too will result in the player with the next highest vote count to be promoted to the dismissed committee members chair. Expectations of the Asulon Improvement Committee Members The members of the Committee shall be expected to meet regularly to discuss the needs and concerns of the player base. The form of communication to be utilized by the Council shall be Skype. A Teamspeak Group shall also be made where the Council can meet and possibly speak with any player’s who may have any concerns. The preferred method of communication with the committee shall be a special sub-forum where players can post their concerns for the Committee to review and consider. Once a week, the committee will be required to hold one official meeting with the Lord of the Craft staff to discuss any concerns that they wish to be addressed. The chat logs of these meetings will be compiled after the meeting and released on the forums for the player base to review. The committee shall be headed by one member of the Lord of the Craft staff to serve as an official liaison between the staff and the committee. ~At this time, I am declaring the first round of nominations open. Since this is the first time, the nomination period shall be extended from its normal 5 day period and shall come to a close on Friday, February 3, at midnight CST at which point the voting process shall begin and end on Sunday, February 5, at midnight CST. Nominations only can be made on this post, but must be made with the consent of the person being nominated. You may include a brief reason as to why you are nominating a certain player. All other posts shall be deleted. Please check the post before posting a nominee to avoid double nominations.
  21. The loss of a friend is always difficult, but know that our thoughts go with you. Grant her eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon her.

  22. It was an honored pleasure to be asked to do another voice recording for Lord of the Craft. Thanks for the positive feedback on the trailer and I hope that all of you enjoy the devotion and hard work that has been put into both this trailer and the amazing world that is Asulon.
  23. Thank you Gaius. I appreciate this greatly being that it comes from one equally, if not more, talented in writing and creativity. It's all about enhancing the RP, my friend. I look forward in the days to come. Should be interesting for all of us. Take care!
