  1. The Erakat Caliphate Year 2150 Population: 1,059,500 Shipyards: 7, 4 Shadows surrounded Nassef Erakat. The Ar’Gakari, the Xenos, the Infidel… his own family. Regardless, the Caliph knew he had a nation to run and saw these efforts through in 2150. In the Grand Shipyard, he oversaw the construction of and completion of a grouping of four colony ships. Once again, the Caliph found himself preparing for the worst. 100,000 Eadni were conscripted to fill out these colony ships and prepare for a journey. This core group of Eadni would form the backbone of a new state, should something go awry. Salman Erakat is tasked with leading this new force and is appointed Sultan of the Kingdom of Amal, a new Eadni client state composed of the people of these four ships. The ships are given a designated area relatively out of the way and, to much ceremony, are sent off. They are celebrated as the guarantee that no matter what happens on Amal, Eadni culture would live on. Though the journey would begin in 2151, much of the resources are allocated now for the journey. The Eadni knew war well. They also knew war’s consequences. Their last great conflict left them defenseless and without hope. This new effort would ensure their continued survival. AP Expenditures & Actions Available AP: 58 - Given the massive increase in population combined with the loss of a colony ship to the Ar’Gakari, four new colony ships are produced this year[16]. - The construction of four new destroyers are completed this year in the Grand Shipyard to supplement the growing fleet. [12] - The first Carrier in the Reformed Navy is completed this year and is supplemented by the construction of a new bomber wing consisting of 200 Bombers [8]. - A down payment is made on the loan this year to the Silver Knights with the remainder to be paid next year. This is simply a declaration of intent to pay the rest in good faith [10]. - Research continues on an entirely new class of ship, the Leviathan. Commander Hussein Al Noor heads the engineering team developing the project, and right now the chief focus is on integrating various new and innovative technologies into a ship of such a scale [6]. - To supplement the new class of ship and a reformed navy, research begins on practically applying ribalite. As of right now, the resource appears rather… useless. The Eadni hope to change that - quickly [5]. - 100 Fighters are produced [1] The Ar’Gakari are made an enticing offer, if they’d even be willing to hear it.
  2. The Erakat Caliphate Year 2149 Population: 754,500 Shipyards: 7, 3 Fahd Erakat leaned against the soft cushion jutting out from the otherwise rough mahogany surface in front of him. He wagged his finger in the air, motioning to the Maltese-human bartender on the other side of the dim room on the Maltese homeworld. The man moved briskly over to the Crown Prince of the Erakat Caliphate, “What’ll it be this time?” “Another one of those Manhattan Ice Teas…” The Crown Prince mumbled. It was one of his first times drinking alcohol; a banned substance in Eadni space. Fahd needed it though, the death of his lover at the hands of his father affected him far more than he let on publicly and this new substance seemed like an effective way to cope, or at least that’s what the Maltese manservant said. ---- Salman Erakat once again found himself in that lonely golden corvette, zipping through the void to do more of his decrepit father’s business. He couldn’t help but lament his time in the infidel’s space, their vile haram and incompetence disgusted him. This trip at least partially excited him though - it was his first time traveling outside the Milky Way. ---- A junior officer stumbled into Commander Hussein Al Noor’s office only to find the engineer’s head resting softly atop his desk, his right cheek pressed against a stack of mechanical blueprints. Behind him through a massive window, the Grand Shipyard hummed with activity in the bustling orbit over Amal. This wasn’t a new sight to the junior officer, Ezedeen Reem. Without ceremony, the young officer exited the room and prepared the Commander’s typical morning meal: Arabian Coffee with dates, Shakshuka, and Nan with chocolate and honey. The coffee’s aroma coaxed the exhausted Commander out of his napping but not before he subconsciously began to drool over the first paper in the massive stack. Seeing moisture gather over his sketches, Hussein jolted back in his chair, roughly thumbing over the wet spot in an effort to preserve the geometric equations, images, and technical readouts. “Sabah al Khair, Commander...” Midshipman Ezedeen nodded respectfully before setting down the tray in front of the Commander and beside the stack of papers. “Ahlan, Ezedeen.” Hussein sighed, scooting his seat up closer to the edge of the table to avoid spilling any of the chocolate on his already filthy uniform. “What time is it?” “Ahhh….” The junior officer quickly checked his wrist implant, “It’s 6am, Commander.” Ezedeen paused, stepping closer over the desk and looking over the documents. “Why do you insist on doing your work on paper Commander?” “It keeps me focused, I get too distracted otherwise Ezedeen. You’d be prudent to do the same.” Hussein took a long sip from the coffee, looking over his work from the previous evening. “I made a lot of progress last night on the reactor core of the Leviathan, I’m interested in seeing how these designs will perform in today’s simulation experiments.” AP Expenditures & Actions Available AP: 112 - An expansion to the Western Shipyard on the frontier of Eadni space is made this year, bolstering the production capacity of the Eadni once more. This is another prong of the massive rearmament project commissioned by the Admiralty in 2146 [10]. - In accordance with that same rearmament project, a massive fleet order is put in to the Grand Shipyard at Amal. Two heavy cruisers, three light cruisers, seven destroyers, eleven Frigates, and twelve corvettes are built and commissioned into the fleet by the end of the year. Manpower is produced in droves to supplement such another massive increase in fleet capabilities [89]. - Already scheduled for an upgrade since its inception, resources are spent to upgrade the B4-M3 “Sandstorm” bomber to a far more capable variant [5]. - Research continues on an entirely new class of ship, the Leviathan. Commander Hussein Al Noor heads the engineering team developing the project, and right now the chief focus is on integrating various new and innovative technologies into a ship of such a scale [5]. - To supplement the new class of ship and a reformed navy, research begins on practically applying ribalite. As of right now, the resource appears rather… useless. The Eadni hope to change that - quickly [3]. - A joint Union diplomatic mission is sent to the Slavic Federation (encounter please). - The Erakat Caliphate announces its existence to the rest of the galaxy and declares that it will no longer associate itself, or the Union of the Lily of the Crescent at large, with the Human Coalition. They shall be considered a neutral party and invite all alien nations to trade and interact with them. - L.S.A.A., a large private corporation based out of Amal, continues to sell its goods while finally acknowledging its true origins. Business as usual for the fake clones. The Darkul are once again contacted to continue sales as well as the Backhatta. Given the effectiveness of LSAA bombers against the Ymorians, the Ymorians are contacted and asked if they would be interested in buying their own bombers and fighters to counter the Darkul, and vice versa. So continues the life of a merchant of death. - Eadn colonizes a new system, this one to the southwest, near the edge of the galactic frontier. - Exploration takes place (encounter please).
  3. The Union of the Lily & The Crescent Anno Domini MMCXLVIII سنة ٢١٤٨ As the Erakat Caliphate prepares to once again embrace the galactic community, it finds a friend in the Maltese Holy Reign. In the days prior to the fall of the Holy Kingdom, collaboration between the Eadni and Maltese made possible various diplomatic and technological advances impossible for either nation, or any other human state for that matter, to complete on their own. Because of the incredible bond forged between these two peoples through both war and peace, the Erakat’s saw fit to select the Maltese as the Caliphate’s chief partner in introducing themselves once again to humanity, and with the collapse of relations with the rest of the Interstellar Accord, the Habsburgs turned to the Caliphate to become its greatest ally once again. --- Pillars of the Union I. Mutual Defense Both nations pledge to defend one another in the case of conflict whether the threat human or alien. The full naval forces of both nations stand primed to strike in defense of the new Union. II. Trade Partnership For the first time since the collapse of the Holy Kingdom, the Caliphate will begin openly trading with a human nation. Maltese ships will be given access to Caliphate controlled regions and transport goods freely between the Caliphate and Maltese space, and vice versa. III. Research Collaboration While no requirements shall be decreed about technology sharing, projects between Maltese and Eadni researchers are encouraged and will be well funded by both governments. This research spans all fields with no special focus given to any sector. IV. Religious Dialogue Despite doctrinal differences between the state religions of Malta and Eadn, religious leaders from both nations decided to maintain strong dialogue and education on the respective religions of their peoples. This includes frequent conferences, open religious debate, and thorough discussion about Abrahamic religion’s place in the twenty-second century. V. Commitment to Combat With the knowledge that past conflicts could have been won with a heavier focus on discipline and acting in accordance with naval doctrine, the Eadni and Maltese jointly agree that any retreats from battle are to be ordered only, and by all, admiral or general level commanders present at the engagement. “...a sacrilegious union of the lily and the crescent”
  4. Caliph Nassef Erakat drummed the fingers of his right hand along his old wooden desk as he leaned back in his leathery chair. The old man sighed, looking at the clock above the elegant doorway to his office. He shook his head with a sigh, “Late again.” He rose from his chair gently, the aging muscles in his back and knees ached from the stress of even minor movements now. Nassef bent as low as his back would allow as he opened a small cupboard, his quivering hands slowly retrieving a cigar from an elegant golden box. Smoking became a guilty pleasure of the Caliph’s during his time as a student in Northern Italy. His mind drifted as he settled back into his seat, smoking always brought him back to his youth. He remembered the circumstances of his personal exodus vividly. Capitalizing on the divisions in the Islamic world as a result of a massive war between the Greater Kingdom of Arabia and Iran, Israel quickly swept through Palestine in 2078, brutally crushing any Islamic opposition in the region. The war left him, and thousands of other Palestinian families, flat broke and with no welcome home. Nassef’s mother and father refused to remain in the Jewish state and used what funds remained in their name to desperately sail across the Mediterranean to the island of Sicily. Upon arriving, the Erakat family kept their heads low as they struggled to learn the language. Because of his young age, Nassef quickly picked up the language and rapidly became the family’s chief translator, forcing him to become an adult at a very young age. He remembered the ridicule he faced from the Sicilian children in school, how they picked on him for his religion and accent. He wanted nothing more than to go home… but he could never go home, for he was not welcome. He was an incredibly bright child, but school bored him and he barely scraped by with below-average grades. While in school, Nassef scraped together money through odd jobs, most of which involved rather suspect activity. The money that he acquired afforded him with enough savings to get a college education, escaping the impoverished island of Sicily in 2088 at the age of 18. From Sicily, Nassef travelled to Florence where he studied both economic and political theory at The Lorenzo de Medici School. Graduating near the top of his class, Nassef returned to Sicily eager to help lift his mother out of poverty now that he had a degree, but she died soon after his return. With nothing keeping him in Italy any longer, Nassef decided to move his Sicilian wife, Angela, and himself to Neom, the sprawling cultural center of the Islamic world along the Red Sea, in 2096. Not long after the announcement of the Arabian Ark, Nassef worked tirelessly to get himself and his wife on board. Using the entirety of his savings, Nassef successfully posed as a wealthy Syrian-Italian businessman who made his money in Artificial Intelligence. Through some miracle, Nassef and Angela Erakat made it onto the ark. Several years passed on Eadn as both Nassef and Angela worked their way up the social ladder, naturally bearing two children, Fahd and Salman, in 2112 and 2117 respectively. Fahd and Salman were among the few children illegally born naturally on the colony, the rest of which had been wiped out in the purges that Nassef himself imposed after the Calamity… and now one of them was late for a meeting with his father. The door burst open as Fahd, the Crown Prince of the Caliphate, entered the smokey room. Caliph Erakat said nothing, his disappointment in his son clear as he took a long drag from the cigar. Fahd bowed respectfully, “Fathe-” “Caliph,” Nassef corrected. Fahd awkwardly rubbed his hand against his leg as he sat, “Caliph, my apologies for being late.. It’s just there’s so much going on in the palace and…” “Spare me your excuses, Fahd...” Nassef sighed, looking over his son. Such a disappointment, Fahd. A feeble man of 35, Fahd spent much of his time partying and drinking with the elite of Eadni society. A known trouble-maker, Fahd found himself often at the mercy of his father. “...and listen carefully.” “Na’am, my Caliph.” Fahd responded quickly, settling into his chair. “It’s come to my attention that you’ve met a girl, Fahd. That she’s rather beautiful, and that you’ve grown quite fond of her.” Nassef looked away from his eldest son, tapping out ashes from his cigar in an ornate ebony ashtray. “What’s her name?” “Samira,” Fahd’s face shone as one’s does when they speak of anything they feel passionately about. “She’s so beautiful… and smart. She works as an engineer! Right now she’s helping the Navy draft their newest classification of ship…” Fahd smirks, clearly smitten. “She needs to die now.” Nassef stated this blankly, looking over his son for any sign of rebellion. Fahd only returned a gaze of pure shock and horror, his hand moving to his face as he scratched his beard. “You told her something about you that nobody, not even those you love, can ever know. You told her you’re not a clone, Fahd.” “But… how do you..” “I know my subjects, and you are one of those subjects, Fahd.” Nassef coughed after a particularly long drag on his cigar, tapping out more ash. “By disclosing this information, you put not only my reign but eventually yours at risk, Fahd.” “My Caliph, you cannot do this! I am in love with her and she wouldn’t tell a soul she…” Fahd’s voice trails as Nassef turns his computer screen toward Fahd, showing a live feed of Samira’s apartment. In an instant, the door to her small room barrels over as armed CSF agents burst into the room, quickly gunning her down before she even knew what was happening. Nassef leaned forward, putting out his cigar in the ashtray. He looked at Fahd, “Don’t make me have to clean up any more of your messes.” -------------------- Salman Erakat peered out of the window of a diplomatic vessel into the vastness of God’s creation ahead of him. The ship quickly approached a massive gas giant, a view that new quite got old to the young Deputy Prime Minister. His eyes scanned the behemoth in an attempt to behold the beauty of it, but before he could adequately appreciate it, his ship zipped along past it, continuing on its predetermined course. Entirely alone in the corvette, Salman spoke as he continued his stargazing. “Aziza, how far are we?” “About 30 more minutes until arrival, Mister Erakat.” The ship’s virtual assistant, Aziza, piped up from nowhere. Standard to every Caliphate vessel, the virtual assistant dutifully served its masters, though in truth, she was the master. On the glass in front of him, Aziza, without orders, magnified a pale blue dot far off into space, showing data gathered on the distant planet from previous scans as well as a detailed 3D image of the planet itself. “Thank you Aziza, would you mind playing my music for me?” Aziza did not respond, but nearly instantaneously music began to flow out of several speakers in the ship, filling Salman’s cabin with sounds from home. Salman smiled, turning away from the window and sitting down at a desk carved into the thick itoron walls of the otherwise rather empty quarters established for him. Travelling on a ship alone proved lonely, but he managed to pass the time through extensive study; an activity which he rather enjoyed. At the desk were various accounts of the nation that he planned on visiting and details about its current state of affairs. Intelligence reports, readouts of their technological capabilities… everything he needed to know and more. He admired the great attention to detail that the C.S.F. had in such affairs, a meticulous nature that derived from their overseer - Salman’s father. The Caliph constantly reminded both Fahd and Salman of their duty to act only when they had the knowledge to do so, and hee stated rather bluntly after the Calamity that it largely occurred due to the Sultan’s own lapses in intelligence. Such failures would not occur again as long as the Erakat family dominated Eadni politics. Salman thumbed through the documents again, moving rather lazily through the pages until one page in particular caught his eye. A favorite from his first reading, the heading for this read Diplomatic Failures of The State. Salman smirked at that, setting aside the other pages as he held this one up for a second thorough read through. The document described, in detail, the various failures of this particular government and its successor rather bluntly. Salman contemplated making a copy to present to whomever might greet him upon landing, but decided not to do so as they might take this as a slight and sour the entire visit. Instead he would keep the document to himself. A shame, he thought. This document would prove incredibly valuable to them, for it possessed the knowledge of their mistakes and the opportunity to recognize them to avoid them again. Salman resolved upon his return to the Caliphate to request such an inquiry be made on the government of the Sultan… and the Caliph.

  6. “Lieutenant Halabi, the Reformed Navy of the Caliphate welcomes your interest in re-enlisting in the fleet. Your service in the old Navy proved invaluable… according to our records.” The interviewer smiled coldly, his eyes scanning the tablet in front of him which displayed Lieutenant Kaliq Halabi’s service record in the Imperial Eadni Navy. “It’s been too long. I want to serve my country honorably again, inshallah.” Halabi stated flatly, gazing blankly back at the interviewer, his mind drifting far from that small room in the Naval Headquarters toward a small moon in empty space thousands of lightyears away. “Lieutenant Halabi, might we discuss why you chose to leave the service in the first place?” The interviewer observed the empty look in the aging pilot’s eyes, writing something quickly on the tablet. Halabi snapped back to attention, meeting the interviewer’s gaze. “I wanted to return to my family for some time, I had finished a long tour of duty and had a way out. Why wouldn’t I go?” Halabi sighed, his mind drifting again. He still remembered the events of that day vividly. ---- Climbing into his Falcon I fighter aboard the Hayreddin Barbarossa, he looked to his left to see his friend Amir saluting him in jest. Amir and Halabi received admission into the Eadni Naval Academy together and grew alongside one another as pilots while the Imperial Eadni Navy burgeoned in size. Their friendship became close and they served on several tours of duty with one another, notably sharing a bomber during the conflict with the Galaronians and Karass Rebels. “Stay safe out there, Halabi!” Amir shouted across the hanger before closing the thick glass cockpit window, giving a wave to his friend. Halabi smiled, doing the same and preparing for takeoff. Orange lights aboard the Hayreddin Barbarossa signaled that the fighter wing could safely take off and in a few moments, Halabi along with 100 other Falcon I fighters entered formation in deep space, preparing to warp to aid in some science experiment gone wrong, according to their superiors. ---- “Lieutenant Halabi?” The interviewer looked at Halabi with a tinge of doubt, his fingers rolling against the side of the elegant marble table at which the two men sat. “You merely didn’t want to serve? The incident at C74-II didn’t have anything to do with your decision?” Halabi couldn’t help but frown a bit at the mentioning of the battle. He sighed, looking toward the interviewer. “No, C74 did not influence my decision to leave the Navy. Frankly, C74 reinforced why I was needed, sir. It was an example of why we’re so important. What if we didn’t stop that thing on that moon? What if it got to the Holy City? We exist so our people can leave in peace.” Halabi nodded after this, as if to assure himself that he truly believed what he was saying… or at least appear like he did to his superior. ---- Again his mind drifted away to that conversation back to that desolate space so many years ago. Halabi and the rest of the fighter wing entered warp together, emerging a few hundred kilometers away from the moon. Near the moon, a large Eadni frigate sat idly for a moment before warping out, revealing the outline of the small moon. Upon first glance, nothing appeared out of the ordinary and scans revealed nothing significant in nature. As Halabi and the rest of the squadron approached though, they watched in amazement as the surface of the entire moon seemed to shift and glimmer like a giant silvery ocean. Structures began to emerge from the sleek surface and creatures of all shapes moved anxiously across the surface of the new ocean. A massive figure appeared soon after, humanoid in shape. Nearly as tall as one of the largest buildings in Eadni city, the creature turned its frightening red gaze toward the incoming fighter wing. “Can you believe this?” Amir’s voice rang through Halabi’s radio, the astonishment in his voice clear as day. “What the hell did the spooks do to it?” ---- “According to battle logs from the encounter, you were one of eight to make it out alive. Is that true, Lieutenant Halabi?” Halabi straightened himself up in his chair, nodding silently. “I am.” He said coldly. ---- Not long after Amir’s exclamation, the beast opened its massive maw and an incredible red beam engulfed nearly half of the fighter wing, vaporizing them in an instant. The rest of the fight was a blur to Halabi. Weapons spinning, engage! Amir, you’ve got drones on you! Get out! Amir get out! It’s getting ready to fire another blast! ****! Halabi, on me. We’re bringing this fucker down…. We got em! We…. ---- “Do you think that fight will affect your service in the Reformed Navy, Lieutenant?” “No.”

  9. From the Archives of the National Library at Madinat Amal The Caliphate of Abdullah al-Mansur: Geography & History Volume I Chapter III: The Home World, Amal An enhanced image of the desert world of Amal taken by the Harun Satellite, circa. 2144 Overview Settled in 2143, Amal acts as the cradle of Eadni civilization after The Calamity. A world covered mostly in vast deserts and savannas, the planet proves remarkably reminiscent of that first cradle of the Eadni, Arabia. Upon arrival vast ecological and geographic surveys began in order to better understand the new capital of the Caliphate. The results of these surveys proved incredibly promising, yielding an extensive amount of natural resources that ensured prosperity during the early years of Eadni settlement. Though Eadni are spread out across the planet in small settlements, two major metropolises act as the seat of culture and civilization. Madinat Amal serves as the beating heart of the Caliphate. From this city, the Caliph and the Mutamar issue the laws of the Caliphate and declare the policies that inevitably bring about prosperity to the people. The city is located in the heart of the continent of Al Arabiya Al Kabira and is straddled on either side by two rivers, the Kamal and the Al’Noor. Across the vast Al Muhit al Hadi Al Jadida on the continent of Harara, one finds the cultural center of the Caliphate, Al Jeddah. The more populous of the two cities, Al Jeddah sits on the coast and acts as the commercial capital of the Caliphate on Amal as well. Just beyond the city limits, one can begin to see the faint shadow of the massive Jabil Mudhhila mountain range. The range effectively separates the connected continents of Harara and Medinati, rising thousands of feet into the air. The mountains prove an incredibly popular tourist destination where thousands flock for skiing throughout the year. In orbit above the homeworld, two large structures currently dominate the skies of Amal. The Grand Shipyard of the Caliphate employees thousands of workers and affords the Reformed Navy of The Caliphate with production capabilities unlike anything the previous regime might have conceived. It’s size and scale, at least according to pre-Calamity records, prove unmatched among other known human civilizations. To protect that shipyard and the homeworld itself, the second structure, Shajarat Eadni Al Jadida, provides massive firing support against incoming threats. Continents - Al Arabiya Al Kabira - Harara - Medinati Oceans - Al Muhit al Hadi al Jadida - Al Atlasiu al Jadida - Janub Al Muhit - Al Muhit Al Shamaliu Major Cities - Madinat Amal [Capital] - Al Jeddah Population [!] Somebody seems to have crossed this part out, it is unintelligible!
  10. Lieutenant Hussein al Noor strode rapidly down the dull grey corridor, in his left hand he carried his sharp white officer’s cap while in his right he carried a schematic of the newest capital ship bound for service in the Reformed Navy of The Caliphate. Arriving at a set of massive metal doors bearing the insignia of the new naval hierarchy, the Lieutenant paused and took a deep breath, relaxing his body before stepping into the meeting. As the doors opened before him, a grey-haired man with a dark complexion rose to meet him. Dressed in the standard work attire of the Prophet’s Legion, Hussein couldn’t help but admire those fine suits designed so meticulously for the new vanguard of the Caliphate. “Lieutenant al Noor! Assalamu alaikum, aki.” The old man beams at the young officer, straightening his khaki shirt as he stands. He beckons Hussein into the white room, the walls pristine and covered with Quranic verses and proverbs of strength. Behind the General’s desk, a wide open window peers over the massive shipyard facility orbiting the planet Amal. “Tafaddal, tafaddal Hussein. We’ve much to discuss this afternoon.” Hussein bows his head respectfully, slowly lowering himself into the chair before the General’s desk. The general himself does not sit down, instead walking to the window overlooking the shipyard. Shifting uncomfortably in his seat, Hussein thinks quickly of something to say to lighten the mood of the room. “General Idafa, your new office certainly has quite the view sir.” “It does indeed, doesn’t it Hussein? A good place to oversee the construction of our new fleet." General Idafa smiles, watching drones circle the massive outer hull of the newest battleship of R.N.C., the Hayreddin Barbarossa. “You know Hussein, in the old regime, the first Hayreddin Barbarossa was commanded by your father?” Hussein flinched a bit at the comment, for most of his life he’d been attempting to escape the shadow of his father. First at the academy, then in the fleet… he couldn’t help but wonder if it wasn’t his last name that helped him survive those brutal purges after the exodus. “I do, General Idafa. He died a warrior's death against the Karass insurgents, inshallah.” Hussein let out a half-hearted smile, placing his cap on the desk in front of him. He relaxed in his seat, watching the General as he sank back into his seat with a smile. “Your father was a hero, Lieutenant. He led us in our first wars and never tasted defeat. He was the best of us in those early days. He knew the potential that Eadn had and believed in the Sultan’s cause wholeheartedly. It’s a shame, perhaps if we had him at Utopie…” The General shakes his head then waves his hand dismissively. “Enough about the old world. We have a new one to worry about.” Hussein nods, leaning forward in his chair to listen to General Idafa. “I’ve got an assignment for you, Hussein. Since the purges, the staff for this particular project has been… shorthanded.” Hussein tilts his head a bit, clearly interested. His mind drifts back for a moment to those days immediately after the Exodus - the execution of the Sultan, the eradication of any other Earth-Borns, the installation of the Caliph… it all happened so suddenly. “Hussein? Are you listening?” “Na’am, General.” Hussein snaps back to attention, looking to the General as he describes the project he’s joining in great detail. At the conclusion of the meeting, Hussein rises from his chair with a smirk. Shaking General Idafa’s hand and bowing, the Lieutenant marches out of the meeting confidently, ready to take his place among the heroes of the new Caliphate.

  12. LONE STAR ARMS AND ARMOR “Equipping the Good Guys with Good Guns” Established in 2126, Lone Star Arms and Armor is the heir to a mega-corporation based out of Houston, Texas from the planet formerly known as Earth. Utilizing their massive amount of wealth as a result of weapons contracts all across the globe and fat subsidies from the United States government, L.S.A.A. set off into space as a private venture funded by the companies’s resources. For years, the small colony established itself among the vast wildlands of the North, however the opportunity for a market there seemed rather… bleak, considering the state of peace and prosperity in the North. Seeking more profitable markets, L.S.A.A. made the move in 2142 to move South where instability reigns and weapons are among the hottest commodities. With especially brilliant scientists and craft salesmen, Lone Star hopes to equip the nations of the South so that they may wage war the Texan way! For inventory, shoot me a private message. 13. The Ibrahim System, late 2142 With a brilliant burst of light, a massive contingent of ships from the Redon Imperium materialize in the capital system of the Holy Kingdom of Eadn. Upon arrival, the Redons begin scanning the Eadni capital for lifeforms and any active weapons platforms before beginning their assault. Navigating carefully through the massive debris field created by the destruction of Eadni orbital facilities, dozens of dropships methodically lower themselves to the surface of the pock-marked plane. With the first step of Redons upon that sacred soil, the Holy Planet was desecrated. Unknowing souls wandered over that land once brimming with promise and hope for the future of humanity. Redon Dropships make their slow descent onto the surface of the Holy Planet, 2142 Not long after arriving on planet, thorough scans of the Eadni Homeworld indicate a complete absence of human life on the planet. Redon soldiers move cautiously through the ruins of Eadni civilization. From across the al-Nayan river, Redon observers look upon the former jewel of the Holy Kingdom, the Holy City. As dusk settles in that area, the lights of many of the buildings still receiving power flicker to life, illuminating that ghastly specter of civilization. As night falls, the Redon advance upon the Holy City. The weary, anxious soldiers move cautiously through the once bustling streets, jolted occasionally by the automated speech of robotic vendors who treat the invading soldiers as familiar customers. Intricate advertisements and moving images dot the facades of buildings, most of which depict propaganda meant to fuel the Eadni war machine. Idyllic images of the noble Eadni fighter pilot feature prominently in one of the ads, a source of comedic relief for the Redons. Suddenly, the entire city darkens and the advertisements cease, all screens fading into white. The Redons raise their weapons and prepare for whatever trap the Eadni intend to spring… but none of that ever comes. Slowly green text, all in Arabic, sprawls over the white emptiness… Quran verses. In time with the appearance of the text, massive, unseen speakers bellow out ancient Islamic chants methodically for several minutes. Such was the evening call to prayer, a daily ritual in the lives of hundreds of thousands of Eadni. Over the next several days, the Redon begin to search throughout the Eadni home systems for survivors, but to no avail. Just as the sands shift with the wind, the Eadni were gone. Hundreds of thousands of people… gone in an instant. Across four sectors and six planets, not a soul can be found, only ruins and abandoned mines. A few Zyrka ships appear to move in and out of the systems regularly, but otherwise, activity in these regions grinds to a standstill. Within a few weeks of the Redons abandonment of the Holy Planet, the last lights still active in the Holy City flicker on for the last time. That former beacon of human prosperity glimmered one final time as the echoes of its former masters belted from now deficient speakers. In the city’s last moments of life the prayers fell silent, and the Holy City fell into solemn silence.

It becomes capable of producing Light Cruisers and Support Carriers. This will prove critical in freeing up space at Ibrahim Station, which seems to be constantly abuzz with activity as of late. [3 AP] Another Kamal-class destroyer, the IEN Jibil, enters production. This will round out the Carrier Strike Group. [Constructed in the SL 2] [2 AP] The Holy Kingdom makes another investment in its industrial capabilities. [8 AP, from Imperium of Man] A battleship is constructed in the Grand Shipyard of Eadn for the use of the Imperium of Man. Like the one constructed for the P.A.R, this is a bare chasis which the Imperium may modify to their liking. [6 AP, from the FHT] A Heavy Cruiser is constructed in the Grand Shipyard for the benefit of the Free Human Technocracy. Like most other ships constructed for their allies, it is a bare chasis for which the FHT may modify to their own liking. Riding along with the new ship, a few Eadni scientists would head to the FHT to help start another initiative. [1 AP from Eadn, 1 AP from Solarin Federation] The Mass Driver Program begins once again as the second generation of these weapons enters development. The improvements focus mainly on the improvement of the energy systems that propel the various shells developed for the weapon systems at their targets. As such, new, miniaturized xylorite reactors are conceptualized as well as other means of increasing power to the electric weapons system. This is just the beginning to a complete overhaul of these already formidable guns. [1 AP from FHT / 1 AP from Imperium of Man] Project Distantium
  15. In the wake of the Hades bombing, the entirety of the Protorian population finds itself enveloped in grief as the Archivar’s body returns to the Protorian homeworld. Beneath the throne of the grand archive from which he imbued so many with wisdom, his body becomes forever enshrined in an ornate monument to his unrivaled power and wisdom. Millions attend the massive ceremony marking his enshrinement, and billions more watch it on various sources of visual media. Following this beautiful ceremony, the Protorian Council announces that it will enter a week of mourning for the Archivar, and encourages the population to join them in this. THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN A second Eadni shipyard is completed in above their oldest colony, giving them the capacity to augment their fleet with destroyer class ships and lower. It should help free up space on the main shipyard. A destroyer is finished within the year. Eadni industry roars ahead with a third consecutive year of investments by the state. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. Star Republic of Edonia Three frigates are completed by years end, bolstering the Star Republic’s fleet. These frigates are then equipped with the improved ammunition which becomes capable of being fired from Eadni mass drivers. The Plasma Cannon Project enters testing… [Skype]. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. The testing of tri-phased shielding proves incredibly difficult and frustrating once again as the additional generator leads to a significant amount of instability as the entire lab overheat, resulting in a massive explosion and the destruction of the prototype as well as the lab. The targeting computer testing yields rather promising results as it drastically improves the accuracy of the Star Republic’s smaller kinetic weapons. Several more complex algorithms will be needed to really make this computer useful on ships larger than destroyers, but overall the improvements are definitely a step in the right direction. Whilst scanning for new materials, the Edonians discover a strange pool sof a sort of liquidy substance dotting the surface of a smaller world in one of their southern sectors. Sensors indicate that this liquid is incredibly dense, almost as dense as Itoron, but completely foreign in its makeup. The Lithruans receive the Edonian delegation to begin discussion - Skype. The Trade Federation Assuming the Ymorians are compensated for their work, they are more than happy to place generators capable of sustaining the new shields onboard the Nexus. The precautions undertaken by the Trade Federation are largely understood, and the precedures do well to keep out most contraband. The customs officers of the Federation take amusement in the strange oddities they find among alien visitors, many carrying strange foods or otherwise that present potential bacteria dangers to the Federation. Project Theia - Skype. Project Tarot - Skype. The Zykra do not budge on their current state of affairs and do not accept the idea proposed for the shipyard. For now, they continue trading with the TF as before but without any special arrangements. The loosening of the C U N T and its resources does well to educate its students, and many who graduate from there go on to serve valuable roles in negotiations and trade. The Ka’Czech Lord of Stars denies the idea of making the TF a sort of demilitarized zone and declares that military ships will pass freely through the area without issue, seeing as the TF cannot really do much about it. The Ka’Czech, in unison with several other Northern naitons, kindly remind the TF of their place in the galaxy, stating that to them they are nothing more than a sort of gas station, a convenient stop on their route south to wage their wars and make their profits. This statement does not do well for business within the Federation either, as no investments come in to the smaller space stations. [Eric, I know there’s several things here that may be missing. Hit Czar up on Skype for what I missed, as some of the alien stuff I’m not equipped to address.] Kingdom of Armathwaite/Silver Knight Corporation Secret Project! Secret Project! Through the mountain… The sniffing out of Armathwaite criminals yields some interesting results as several large criminal operations are discovered, however these lack ties to any foreign elements and are ultimately of little consequence. With the destruction of USA spying facilities after their surrender to the T.H.C, nothing else of consequence is discovered. The Light Cruiser and the 100 Gawain mechs are completed over the course of the year, both strengthening the fleet of the Armathwaite. The Protorians, Redons, and Backhatta all accept this idea of talking and offer the Armathwaite the opportunity to discuss this further [Skype]. Thulean Republic Project Taranis. The colonial freighter is almost completed, needs just a few more resources to finish. The Destroyer is completed soon thereafter. The shipyard then moves to refitting the Thulean fleet, which it also completes by years end. Again, the armed forces of the Republic gain a significant boost in recruits with another 3,000 men joining the cause. They’re emboldened now by the submission of the USA to the T.H.C. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. The L.C. receives this offer and would like to negotiate with the Thuleans further [Skype]. The People's Agrarian Republic The P.A.R completes their trade station within the year, pouring a significant amount of resources into doing so. [+3 Trade Relations] Their industry also sees a significant improvement as well. Advanced Robotics Research proceeds [Skype]. The aid reaches the Edonians without any issue. The Solarin Federation The Solarin Federation successfully sends aid to the Eadni. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. 2 Centurian Frigates are completed and deployed to the Solarin Fleet by the end of the year. Their fighters are also completed around the same time. Project EVE. Spreadsheets, mining, and such. The Protorians receive the Solarin envoys [Skype]. Asgard Republic Trade is successfully established with the IRM and Andorrans. Trade with the USA is halted, effectively ending any exchange in goods. Joining the THC proves highly profitable for the Asgardians as they gain access to several new technologies. A pair of corvettes are completed by the middle of the year. The destroyer is finished soon thereafter. With the increased size of the Asgardian fleet and increasing ambitions outside of their own sector, the wargames begin in their simulated reality. [Czar for result] The modifications made to the jumpsuits prove to be the final ones required as the armor now boasts stability and strength with the new mesh-weave. Most engineers are confident now that this armor is battle ready, and they would be correct. The work into the improvements of sensor capabilities sees some minor successes in its first year of development. More detailed cross-sections of larger ships capable of being detected at greater ranges, though the Asgardians are far from a signficant sensor range. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. United States Of Arcturus The reparations are sent to the Thuleans and Solarins, reaching them without issue, a good sign for the Arcturians who didn’t need any further trouble. Project Infallible and Operation by Dawn’s Early Light [Skype]. Imperial Republic of Mankind Three secret projects: Shadowblade, Longshot, and Gamins. [Skype] The first stages of the construction of the Imperial University at Cadia garner a tremendous amount of interest from civil engineers and artists from all over the Imperium, dozens of whom petition the government with ideas for elegant designs and state-of-the-art areas for teaching, study, and habitation. The Imperium need merely to take their pick at any of these very sophisticated designs. For the next stage, the Imperium will need to address the actual learning curriculum and decide how they might go about hiring teachers, many of whom who still remain from Earth would likely be incapable of handling the advanced curriculum the University would likely implement. Hephaestus Enterprises The group of destroyers is completed by the end of the year without issue with Hephaestus engineers becoming quite good at churning them out. Hephaestus Enterprises’ ambitious recruitment campaign draws capable professors from several Southern nations, especially from those looking to escape some of the more dangerous nations in the South. The largest group of professors seem to be Tassarean. Despite the massive amount of resources and scanning that occurs on throughout the Corporation’s systems, nothing of significance is found save an abandoned Firstborn city [Skype for details]. The mining colony on the Itoron colony is established and so capitalism thrives! Andorra Project HIPPS - Skype. Project ATM - Skype. The Andorran Kingdom produces two corvettes by the end of the year. Many Cevelli simply state that they came here to find new opportunities that they otherwise might not have found on their homeworld, or simply to trade with the Human population of Andorra. Many express indifference to the Andorran leadership and do not really see themselves as Andorrans in any sort of patriotic, nationalist sort of way. United Canadian Front Project Goliath is now complete, and as such four hundred-fifty ATC-74’s are put into construction and completed by the end of the year. Similarly, the Support Carrier’s production is completed by the year’s end. All U.C.F. fleets are accordingly retrofitted while 1,000 T-60 suits are made. The Han Dominion [REDACTED] Project Lance. [Skype] The colony ship is completed by the end of the year along with the construction and opening of a new Xylorite mine. The mining industries of the Dominion rejoice as a second deposit of Xylorite is quickly found as a result of their surveys in their westernmost territorial claim, bordering the Ganvius. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta The twin colony ships are completed by the end of the year with citizens of Malta from all walks of life and race clamoring to board. THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen. Project Star Trek - Skype Whilst being able to cross-connect some dots between the weapon and quantum mechanics, they toss up more riddles than answers, leading to no mentionable results. The xylorite mine is finished, increasing the industrial capacity of the Maltese. Additionally, the construction of the Veneti house continues. It is about a quarter of the way toward being on the scale of the House of Rhodium, whether or not the Maltese wish to continue this would be up to them. Maltese ships are successfully retrofitted. The Kingdom of Unified Systems A prototype model of the armor using the new material is completed, and it proves resistant to Earth-based ballistics. For now though, this armor is incredibly immobile and the metal proves difficult to mold. More research will have to be done before steps can be taken toward mass production. Agricultural production gains a slight boost as a result of the KUS investments while two corvettes are completed by the end of the year. Free Human Technocracy The free cybernetics are received by several of the hospitals on Hades responding to the non-fatal injuries from the Summit Bombing. The quality of these cybernetics is revealed to the general public through such actions and Kyber Korps gains several new customers. Psionics & Cybernetics [Skype] More and more tourists begin to flock to Tropico as the facilities are significantly upgraded. Meanwhile, in their northernmost territorial claim, the F.H.T. discovers a rather average deposit of Itoron. Regardless of the size, it is a nice boost to industry once a mine can be established there. Events In a galactic shock, the Ganvius and Kalronians come to terms on a peace settlement that results in some territorial concessions though otherwise nothing consequential rises from the matter. Perhaps they feel inspired by the peace efforts of the younger nations in the south, or perhaps they’re just weary of fighting. Whatever the cause, the fighting has stopped. Meanwhile, the L.C. begins to turn their attention away from offensive attacks against the Keerim, instead heavily fortifying the borderlands of the Skellar Kingdom and Libellan Union. These worlds, already once brought under the Keerim yoke, serve as a sort of buffer against a renewed Keerim assault and a stage point for their own assaults into Keerim space. Without much surprise to anyone observing the massive warfleet assembled in the Carina Cluster, the Darkul finally launch their invasion into Ar’gakari territory with an overwhelming force of 18,000 ships of all sorts of classes. Despite serious preparations on the end of the Ar’gakari who expected this attack, the Darkul invasion fleet tears through system after system and sector after sector, driving the Ar’gakari closer and closer to destruction. --- Population growth Imperial Republic of Mankind - 734,500 Humans Terran Federation - 375,250 Humans, 40,750 Grgl, 26,000 Tassarans, 19,000 Libellans, 17,000 Human-Tassarans, Silver Knight Company - 419,750 Humans, 66,000 Tassareans, 24,500 Backhatta, 32,000 Redons, 18,500 Human-Redons, 18,500 Human-Tassareans, 59,500 Galaron, 3,000 Human-Redon-Tassareans, 5,000 Redon-Tassareans, United States of Arcturus - 176,500 Humans, 12,000 Da'nor, 2,750 Human-Tjieran, (12,000 Ceri Garrison, 4,000 Ascardian Garrison) (23,500 Humans, 9,750 Skellar, 6,000 Libellans stuck on Arcturian Colony) Hephaestus Holdings - 772,500 Humans, 102,750 Grgl, 203,000 Tassareans, 50,000 Human-Tassareans, 31,500 Libellans, 31,000 Redons, 26,500 Backhatta, 20,000 Human-Redons, 89,500 Galaron, 9,000 Redon-Tassareans, 7,500 Human-Redon-Tassareans, 19,000 Protorians Free Human Technocracy - 415,500 Humans, 45,500 Da'nor, 20,500 Human-Da'nor The Holy Kingdom of Eadn - 439,500 Humans People's Council of Utopie - 426,000 Humans, 29,500 Protorians, 35,000 Libellans, 64,500 Grgl, 65,000 Tassareans, 30,500 Human-Tassareans, 20,250 Backhatta, 23,000 Skellar, 58,000 Galaron, 9,000 Human-Protorians Order of Malta - 733,250 Humans, 16,000 Ganvians, 26,500 Ceri, 28,000 Tjierans, 56,000 Ascardians, 29,000 Da'nor, 12,500 Human-Tjierans, 15,500 Human-Da'nor, 15,500 Human-Ascardians, 10,000 Tjieran-Ascardians, 7,000 Ascardian-Da'nor, 18,500 Skellar, 16,000 Libellan Han Dominion - 609,750 Humans United Colonial Initiative - 337,500 Humans United Canadian Front - 337,500 Humans Ultima Thule - 134,500 Humans, 19,500 Da'nor, 4,750 Ceri, 7,000 Ascardians, 5,000 Tjierans, 9,500 Redons, 23,000 Krib Asgard Republic - 328,750 Humans Porton Technocracy - 292,500 Humans, 16,000 Cevelli, 7,500 Ka'cezh, 8,000 Zyrka, 5,500 Ymorian, 4,000 Alduu'uuranean, 9,000 T'jell, 26,500 Krib, 4,000 Human-Cevelli, 1,000 H’Wong Andorra - 258,750 Humans, 3,000 Cevelli Kingdom of United Systems - 277,500 Humans ---- Map Update ---- Year 2142 by Earth’s Calendar.
  16. From the Office of The Human Cooperative Shajarat Eadn, Ibrahim Station. The solemn procession of the state funeral of Salen Kotch in the Solarin Federation. Thousands came out to mourn the death of such a well-renowned figure in the federation. Joint T.H.C. statement regarding the bombing on Hades “Assembled for peace, slaughtered in the name of some unknown cause. The tragedy on Hades exemplifies the darkness that still reigns in much of the galaxy and acts as an example of what the Human Cooperative strives to eliminate. As an entity, the T.H.C. condemns these attacks and stands in solidarity with all affected nations both friend and foe. Should Hephaestus require additional resources in conducting an investigation, the T.H.C. offers its resources to aid in such an endeavour. Furthermore, the T.H.C. does not hold the corporation liable for the attack. May whoever committed this atrocity be swiftly found and brought to justice.” The Eadni Ibrahim Station, a Class 5 Shipyard, seen constructing a Light Cruiser. This is one of many stations made available to the L.C. T.H.C. to offer Lend-Lease to the L.C. in Keerim Conflict “Given the extensive amount of high-capacity shipyards within the various states comprising the Human Cooperative, the governing body has decided that these shipyards may be opened to the L.C. to aid in their war with the Keerim. The Keerim Imperium has committed several acts of violence against the human race, and as such the T.H.C. considers them an enemy of all of mankind. Any enemy of theirs is a friend of ours.” Joint Declaration of War against the United States of Arcturus for Crimes Against Humanity and Acts of War Against Member States of the T.H.C. “For too long, the United States of Arcturus operated beneath the yoke of the Keerim Imperium, dutifully serving their avian overlords and advancing their interests rather than those of the Human Race. In an attempt to appease their overlords, the U.S.A. compromised the location of the Thulean Republic, a T.H.C. member state, resulting in their home world's swift and horrendous destruction. The Arcturians then moved upon the Solarin Federation in unison with the Keerim, acting out of appeasement to their avian overlords once more. Again, hundreds of thousands of human lives were lost. The T.H.C. will not tolerate the spilling of human blood, especially the blood of our member states. Aside from their crimes committed alongside the Keerim, the U.S.A. has also been caught smuggling espionage technology through abuses of Hephaestus Enterprises. These listening devices and such have been used to conduct operations against T.H.C. and non-T.H.C. member states alike. Espionage on this scale is an act of war, and as such it will be acted upon as such. Should the United States wish to avoid outright combat and bloodshed, the T.H.C. offers merciful terms of surrender. Should they not accept, the Human Cooperative will be forced to strike at the Arcturians. I. The scuttling of 2/3rds of the Arcturian fleet. Any ship above the class of Destroyer must be destroyed. This would be overseen by T.H.C. officials. The Arcturian Shipyard would also be rendered incapable of building anything greater than a destroyer. Their spy network and probes would also be revealed and destroyed. In exchange for revealing them, these spies may return to Arcturus with the promise of amnesty. II. The surrender of Arcturus’s colonies, until such a time that the T.H.C. determines the United States has earned back the right to rule them. The colony will be overseen by a joint task force of Cooperative military forces, and ruled justly in accordance with the traditions of Arcturian society. [Would not gain AP from colony or the population of it until turned back over] III. The complete dismemberment of the current Arcturian government. Any and all current high government officials will be disposed and tried for war crimes. New and free elections are to be held, overseen by T.H.C. and selected Arcturian officials. IV. Reparations to be paid to the Thulean Republic and Solarin Federation, both of whom have been gravely affected by the crimes of the Arcturians. [2 AP to each] V. A formal apology to Hephaestus Enterprises for wounding their credibility and disrupting intergalactic free trade. VI. The United States of Arcturus, in return for their adherence to these terms, would receive a guarantee of independence and receive the protection of the entire T.H.C. Their remaining fleet would be potentially allowed to join the greater T.H.C. fleet, and in time they may be allowed to repossess what they have lost. The Arcturians may contact the T.H.C. via Quantum communications to make a decision. No response will be interpreted as non-compliance."

For several weeks, the Xie are treated with the greatest amount of gentleness and care, ensuring that all 20,000 are cared for and on planet. Once established on the planet in a single refugee camp, the ship they utilized to arrive into Eadni space are promptly eliminated by the Eadni fleet, arriving in orbit to crush them. Immediately a force of sum 16,000 Eadni Marines are deployed to the refugee camp, forcibly interning the Xie and registering them into the Eadni index. Each Xie is stripped of his name and family with great care being taken into separating families from one another. Those who resist heavily are slaughtered without question. Once the Xie have been successfully suppressed, they are scattered. This scattering of the Xie among each of the Eadni colonies serves as a way of weakening them, ensuring their ideas do not spread amongst one another and whatever cultural identity they possess would slowly disintegrate. Additionally, so as to ensure the Xie cannot get the word out of their repression, the Xie are exclusively put to work in mines which are entirely automated, run entirely from stations miles away from the mines themselves. Effectively no means of escape are established for these prisoners, and a heavy presence of fighters and marines ensure that these camps remain that way - isolated. Diplomatic Actions Actions [0 AP] A break in the Marid project. This break is a time to regroup and reevaluate their work on the project thus far. The Holy City bustled with activity, automated ars zipped through the sleek streets of the Eadni capital and in the streets Upper Class Eadni moved briskly to and from work making small talk about galactic affairs. All around them, screens boasted of the Eadni victory against the Karass rebels, and images of a planned memorial for those Eadni lost in the conflict were also shown. Morale in the Holy Kingdom was at high, though truthfully the morale in Eadn was never low. Indeed, it wasn’t possible. Devotion and love for the state were essentially to the lifestyle of the average Eadni, regardless of class. The street cleaner and the banker had the same value to Eadni society and equally cherished and worshiped the wise rule of the Sultan who gave to them their lives and prosperity. The propaganda machine of the Holy Kingdom ensured this, keeping its people in check and constantly providing the citizens with grand news of the successes of the government, some truthful and some not. Had the Eadni tasted defeat at the hands of the rebels, its people would never have known it. Indeed, the only newsreels prepared for reporting on the news of the battle were those of victory. Keeping the people happy was all that was required to keep Eadni society running, and as it turned out, it was rather easy to please the people when they depended upon the government completely. In such a time of incredible prosperity, the Sultan has decided to continue a policy of growth and encouraged the expansion of Eadn both among the stars and on the Holy Planet. New industrial complexes spring about throughout the less-inhabited parts of the planet while infrastructure in the colonies continues to be expanded. ---- A single frigate, the IEN Talal hovers over a remote planet in uncontested territory several sectors north of the Eadni home sectors. The planet, a beautiful tropical planet, would likely make for an excellent colonial venture, however the Office of Naval Research and Development had other ideas. Doctor Samira Ustaaz, an Eadni scientist renown for her research in REDACTED, looked out from the command deck of the Talal over the beautiful planet. She sighed a bit, thinking of all the potential for life on that beautiful rock, but quickly those thoughts were replaced with a sort of nervous excitement. For two years now, Dr. Ustaaz and her team from ONRD slaved away at the project now undergoing its first test. Marid, the name quickly applied to the incredibly dangerous project, would revolutionize the way in which the Eadni Navy fought, if it could be successful. If the REDACTED could do as it was instructed, the REDACTED would REDACTED rapidly, much faster than any sort of defense system could respond. Ustaaz and her team did not anticipate immediate success, in fact, they expected several failures. Marid was incredibly dangerous, and as such the decision was made to keep it far, far away from any of the home systems in case it got out of hand. They hoped that it could be contained to merely the planet, and that the kill procedures would prevent it from too excessive or rapid expansion. After losing herself in her thoughts for a moment, the sound of a loudspeaker shook her back to reality. “Three minutes to test, all hands to their stations. Observation of test will be from the Command Deck.” Those three minutes seemed to creep by as the lone cluster of REDACTED was inserted into their small, bowling ball shaped shell. Subsequently, the tiny device was sent out into the void, quickly entering the atmosphere of the planet. As the heat eroded the shell, something within the device began to activate… Diplomatic Actions The Holy Kingdom requests permission to open an embassy on the Karass homeworld, and offers the Karass the opportunity to put one on the Ark-Station above Eadn as well. [Encounter] The Holy Kingdom, now involved in peace talks, prepares a delegation for the occasion. It is led by Jabril Kamal, new Grand Admiral of the Eadni Navy. Actions [2 AP] The Marid Project, as it's now being called, continues to see progress. The first test of the system takes place on a moon far from Eadni space. [Encounter] [4AP +4AP from P.A.R.] Work begins on a second Battleship. This one will go directly to the P.A.R, and will not possess the Eadni weapon systems. Instead, it uses mostly basic-tiered weaponry. It is made highly modifiable, so that the P.A.R. can do as they wish with it. [1 AP] More work goes into the research into the foreign material on the Dajaaj colony. The evaluation of nothingness seems awfully peculiar, and dozens of the colony’s best scientists are sent to observe the material. The hope is to avoid a meeting with the Archivar for if possible, the Eadni hope to keep their possession of this material a secret. [3 AP] Industrial Growth in the Holy Kingdom is prioritized yet again. The drive begins to boost the production capacity of the Holy Kingdom. Most of these factories are small arms and military vehicles factories. [0 AP] Messages are beamed to the old co-ordinates of the Republic of Xie. They openly challenge the rule of the rebellious Karass Lord reigning there and encourage the Xie to rise up. In secret, Eadni propaganda agents also begin to infiltrate the system and encourage Xie civilians to escape to the Eadni paradise. They are directed to the Dajaaj Colony in the Autef system, assuming any Xie make an effort to flee. ---- [10 AP, Karass] A Trade Station is completed above the Holy Planet of Eadn in the Ibrahim system (+3 Trade partners toward so +1 AP)

The outcome is one of success, with the Eadni Navy proving its capabilities to their Karass allies. Mass Drivers, as it turns out, proved incredibly effective during the battle and ripped apart most of the ships they encountered. Such astounding success makes the Eadni reluctant to share this technology outside of their own Navy. The First Flight of The Eadni Navy Losses: 1 Light Cruiser, the IEN Dubai; 3 Destroyers, 4 Frigates, 150 Fighters. They notice that this group has been oddly quiet for some time, and the Eadni government takes great interest in what they might be able to offer them. [ENCOUNTER REQUESTED] The Eadni government also reaches out to what remains of the Republic of Xie, attempting to convince them to cease in their support of the Galaron rebellion. A representative of the Xie, preferably Ho Chi Minh II, is requested to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. [ENCOUNTER REQUESTED] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends a consul to the Archivar. [ENCOUNTER REQUESTED] Actions [2 AP] A highly discrete project continues under the direction of the Ministry of Science. It is not to be shared with anybody, and work takes place entirely on the Holy Planet of Eadn to ensure the utmost secrecy. [5AP +5AP from P.A.R.] Work begins on the Holy Kingdom’s first Battleship, the IEN Sultan Khalifa al-Saud. With the new Mass Drivers, the Battleship will be heavily equipped with such weaponry. It should be finished by the end of the year. [1 AP] Research begins immediately on the strange materials on the new Kalani system colony. There is a great amount of interest in this strange material, and testing begins to see how it can be utilized, if it can be moved, if it’s radioactive, if it puts out energy, and whatnot. [2 AP] The Holy Kingdom begins work on another program to upgrade its mass drivers, this time focus on shells capable of consistently penetrating shields. The idea is to create a sort of charged layer around a highly conductive shell, sending a burst of pure energy hurtling towards shields, hopefully disrupting them or penetrating them. [0 AP] A colony is established in the Eastern Sector adjacent to the home systems, the Earth-like world is scanned intensely as the first group of settlers arrive on the planet. Though something is off, and they cannot quite figure it out, the colonization goes as planned. However, only a few hundred people are sent rather than a massive wave to ensure habitability.
  22. The Human Cooperative التعاونية البشرية الحَمْد لل “Do no evil, your enemy becomes powerless” - Arabic Proverb In order to most effectively provide for the protection of those who desire peace and prosperity among the surviving human nations, the most enlightened of human leaders unite in this year 2136 to from the Human Cooperative. [1 AP bonus] With the additional resources set aside by completing the fighters without the use of intended resources, the Eadni High Court actually has enough resources to continue working on their Mass Driver research, though in a limited capacity. Due to limited resources, much of this phase of testing is focused on refining the prototype and testing it at several ranges on hard targets. Computer simulations are also run wherein the weapons systems are added into highly complex equations involving large scale battles. [0 AP] A few sectors the East are scouted and probed for resources, as well as potentially habitable planets for the new Eadni Colony. Most of the effort is focused on finding a habitable planet, more detailed scans for resources would probably come later with actual investments.
