  1. MC NAME: Iorwen RP NAME: Okarir'sil Nelecar GENDER: Male. JOB/STATS: Okarir'sil, the Master of Military and a council member. Have a home?: Not yet. RACE: Mali'aheral.
  2. "But, I warn you. This does not mean equality. The other races are still below us, however we have recognized that tolerating them is often beneficial. Orcs are not to enter the city under any circumstances."
  3. ...Well it's hardly my fault my son took a dark elf as a wife. @ Aurea By night elf he may mean wood elf. ))
  4. (( That is a question I believe Eowyn would be more qualified to answer - there is lore on it yes, and she was the only one for the most part writing it. ))
  5. Aurea. Really. I don't know this guy's track record, but I'm fairly sure being wary of someone because of past incidents is not an offense. @ Faceless Man If you are a high elf/elf, yes.
  6. (( Anytime, son. @ Dilara Status means nothing, I'm afraid. Shun with maximum prejudice. She would be ten times as unclean as that if she actually bred with him, but whatever. ))
  7. I sort of disagree there. If her brother isn't the typical 'Naaaaaaaaaaaaature! THIS CITEH NEEDS NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATURE! *Insert nature religion reference here*' wood elf he would be allowed inside the city and so would she. He probably wouldn't be too well-liked but since he does have some relation to a fellow high elf it should go fine. @ Evelyn If you don't want to act like that you don't have to, all it means is you won't be accepted into their society. ))
  8. ((Guidelines for high elven conduct in Haelun'or: To Mori'quessir = be polite to them. They are volatile and use unnecessary violence to solve things - while they are a lesser race who follow a fictional goddess we are on their land and conflict would have adverse effects. To Orcs = be racist and unfriendly. They are unsophisticated and violent brutes. To Renatus Humans = tolerate and be polite to them. A lesser race and one prone to deceit and corruption however they are valuable allies. Dislike for them should be hidden. To Hanseti Humans = although we have had no IC contact with them thus far they would disliked for their violent ways and the fact that they consort and tolerate 'filthy half-breeds'. To Dwarves = tolerate them. The high elves of old had a tenuous trading alliance with the ancient dwarves. They are tolerated but not well-liked. To Wood Elves = hold some disdain for them. They hinder advancement and are a shackle to mali'aheral society. Exceptions can be made. To Aegisian Dark Elves = Blank because they don't really have a distinct racial identity. To Half-breeds of any kind = be extremely hateful and xenophobic to these, more so than anything else. They are swine who should be purged from this earth - however violent ways are not always the best. To Druids = despise them. They are set on old ways and are an inhibition. Nature is not revered at all in their society - neither is any god or religion. They belive religion and believing in any deities is illogical and unneeded. Breeding with non-high elves is a capital offense. Nobody is above criticism or insult as long as it is logical. Aside from that they are very non-violent, preferring to resolve things with words and debates. If you attack a mali'aheral, they have already won, as they did not need to resort to violence unlike yourself. There is more, and I'll post as I remember it.))
  9. Splendid work. I don't understand any of this language business but splendid work anyway.
  10. "I'm gonna punch that dragon in the face!"
  11. Even if she does, it is not the same one that lies in ruins.))
  12. (( Well. This is going to be difficult. First, some clarification. There are very limited documents on the high elves of old of which modern day high elves are descended from. That means very limited as in almost non-existant - the descendants (Player-made high elf characters) have been integrated and assimilated into wood elven society with no knowledge of their ancestry. Your character can have a desire to create a society of high elves however the only character who should know even a tiny bit about this is Rivell, as he's basically dedicated a lot of his in-character to the study of elves. The only thing your character should know is that he is in fact a 'high elf'. Not that of a past empire/culture. Now that's over, time to answer some questions. High elves are very articulate indeed and put a lot of emphasis on learning and vocabulary, probably more so than other elves. They will become an independant group but not a nation. Our plan is to basically find the ruins of the ancient high elven empire, acquire the land from the mori'quessir and attempt to rebuild it and create a town.))
  13. ((Yay, we have a FAQ thread now. Ask any questions you would like about 2.0's high elves (Culture, history, etc) and we'll try our best to answer them.))
  14. On another note, we've reached the minimum of names. Woooo. But, anybody who plans on living in Haelun'or should still post so we can discern how many are interested.
  15. You're not Native so you can't pull that one on me.
  16. I also completely copied your signature. Sorry about that, don't sue me.
  17. Or we could actually wait and see if our charter is accepted.
  18. I think this thread should be deleted/locked so a more...official one can be made.
  19. You should become one of us. Yes yes.
  20. Limiting the number of people who can sign the charter to just those who want to live with us restricts the amount of signatures we can get greatly. Your character would be accepted because he acts like one of them. If one does not act like us and does not share high elven ideals he will be denied access to the city. If they continue to wish to live around us they'll go to the harbor district. Basically, we won't just let anyone inside for tourism purposes, and those we do find acceptable and not a western influence danger will most likely be treated coldly until they're accepted.
  21. Well, I can kind of see where you're coming from but they're a lot more similar to TES Altmer. On another note, if you wish to live inside the city you must either. a.) Be a high elf. b.) Act like a high elf and be accepted by them. Anyone can sign the charter however.
