  1. Just going to put this out there - just because your hair covers you ears does not mean we can not tell a high elf from a half-elf, and emoting to show them as the same length as normal elf ears is powergaming.))
  2. Nelecar stood over the stone basin, cool water pouring over his face. They had did this to him, the wretches. It wasn't acceptable. He would not have any of it. As of late he had been plagued by betrayals, and this would be the final one. It started with Virgil. The very man he thought of as a son was a spy and a turncloak. Then there was Talias, his former legate. Him, Calith and that other lackwit who he couldn't remember an awful lot about. Then Ellir, the woman he had trusted, who proved to be more loyal to her husband that she was to logic. They would have seen him dead. He wouldn't have let them. He would kill all of them, from those gutterswine in Ceru to Talias and Ellir themselves. No, no, that wouldn't be enough pain. They needed to suffer more, I think. He would kill her infant daughter, Hileia, first. Then he would leave her for a while to grieve and suffer before making her feel fire on that skin she flaunts. She thinks she's so beautiful. She won't be when I bring a flail to her face. He looked into the water at his reflection, at what he had become. Nelecar was once handsome, but they had taken that all away from him. They took away everything. His hair was limp and a sickly dark-grey looking colour. He sported facial hair which he had neglected to maintain from his days living in exile. But worst of all was the burn. The left side of his face was melted, and his left eye had become a blind pool of chalky white. Scarred and deformed from that *****'s fire. Hair no longer grew on it, so he had attempted to brush his hair over the burns, however only a few loose strands came, and they did not cover his wounds very well. His position as Okarir'sil, his rights, his authority, his very dignity, his appearance. They had all taken it away when they conspired against him. He had tried to put a knife in that idiot of a man Kolyat's daughter and in return he had got a brazier to the face. Perhaps I should have been more gentle. Then this might have never happened. He quickly banished the thoughts from his head before laying his unsheathed broadsword down upon his lap, falling into a despair. I could do it. It's not like I have much else to live for. His last thoughts would be of Lydia, he promised himself that much. He tried to remember her, but found that he couldn't. She had blond hair, he remembered that much, and blue eyes. But when he tried to think further all that he saw was the faces of Ellir and Talias, mouths open in a cry of pain. He rubbed a thumb along the blade, before deciding he would enact his prior plan. The scarred and broken man looked at the reflection again before looking away in revulsion. He didn't care about the mali'aheral way anymore. He didn't care about Haelun'or, no. All he wanted was revenge on those who had wronged him. They would all burn the same way he had. He looked back yet again at his reflection, and found he was no longer ashamed. There wasn't anything left in him. No emotions, no feeling, no mercy. Nelecar touched his broadsword's hilt before standing up. Only bitterness and steel. ((Alrighty. Just a note - I've stepped down as Okarir'sil due to other business and the like. My roleplay times with Haelun'or will be limited at best, to be honest, but I hope I can continue to RP with some of you. You're all great people. Nelecar has left Haelun'or to achieve his otherwise twisted and evil goals, however I wouldn't recommend plundering my tower just yet. He hasn't gone -completely-.))
  3. How about you become a rigid militaristic society and only admit certain people into the city? It worked well enough for Hanseti.))
  4. Please, there's no need for another Salvus.))
  5. "You request a trial! A trial!" Nelecar laughs. "Very well then, you'll be having your trial! But you will not take part in it, Ellir'siol. Might I remind the citizens of Haelun'or that Ellir is married to one of the traitors that so vehemently oppose me? Yes, that's right. Unfair bias. The only reason she challenges my exile is merely because she beds the man who I laid it upon!"
  6. <3 you too.)) "Lies and slander, all of it. You, a man who hides behind his wife? Accuses me? You would have us become a democracy? The people do not vote on okarirs - that is folly and flawed."
  7. For the military, Aurea, we're not following your plans. Defenses however is a different story. We have more than enough equipment - training not so much, but every soldier is meant to be adequate with a sword. It would not look like such an untrained militia if we actually had uniforms, something I've been unable to get onto. The reform will hopefully assist with this. The sillumir will likely be training justicars.))
  8. "Of course there will be no such building."
  9. "That's correct. Now, you have been warned. Should I hear any further mention of religion punishments will be handed out. We follow the teachings of Larihei Lomahnih, not some human-invented fiction."
  10. "Lucion or Ellir? You exclude myself, the one who would be in actual need of iron armor to arm his troops..."
  11. "For once I find myself agreeing with Lona. Any further mention of religion in a positive and non-scientific or non-critical way will be dealt with and the perpetrators punished. All religion is a threat to society and detrimental to the mali'aheral race."
  12. Is that man in the painting in the last picture wearing a fez? Fezzes are cool. ))
  13. If I had a nice character, I can assure you she or he would just follow Lucion around. Non-stop. <3
  14. Malinor did kind of betray us and believe orcish propaganda with no basis.
  15. Well, cash is great too. I would have got away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids.
  16. They were also really mean to us. Nelecar may have called Sythra a harlot though...
  17. It's Wednesday now, apparently. x.x Never again will I buy something from Asus.
  18. My ego is hurt that all these interesting ideas involve the death or mass exodus of the high elves as a whole, but eh, who cares? How about we just ally with the mori to burn Malinor to the ground?
  19. That section there really matter very little - you could be a beggar for all Nelecar cares, as long as you're pure and sufficiently totalitarian. I recommend looking up Sporadic's wonderful guide on high elven RP, then you might be able to see what they're all about. Merit over status, essentially.
