  1. Just because someone hasn't donated yet, doesn't mean their opinion is invalid, and time is equally as valuable as money. I, for one, believe that I have helped on a lot of things with the Orc nation, and I do plan on donating, just wanted to originally get some more time under my belt, seeing as it would be a bit unrealistic to donate, say $200, after playing for 10 days like I have seen some people do. And you talk of people losing their donor perks (I doubt they will lose their perks in the first place)? Let me ask you this, are you first and foremost a donor that cares about the server, or did you simply donate because you spend a lot of time here and wanted to buy the perks? Got a bit off-track there, but the point is your generous donation IS helping them do what they want to do and HAS supported them.
  2. I've already seen people trying to buy up diamonds in bulk and what not, what good does it do to have a bunch of ppl bringing over loads of diamonds? How many people (with wealth) are going to bring over wood planks/cobble/wool/etc? It either has to be all or nothing, any combination of the minas/items options would have negative ramifications for the economy, unless a new alternative is found, and Zombez has a solid idea. What are people afraid of? You're here to develop and play your character. If you're a mega wealthy merchant, what is to stop you from doing it again? It is your characters profession, and should be viewed as an interesting challenge with many new rp opportunities, not as: "wow this is unfair that I can't sit back on my wealth anymore." A semi-unrelated point, and this is all strictly my opinion, but I view people in this boat as a max lvl character in an MMO that has alot of money and everything they need, but fail to 'play' as much as they once did, instead just sitting back and using the game as a social tool, and raid every once in a while. Furthermore, I believe the ideas listed in the link provided also need to be looked at: here
  3. I like the idea, kind of like provisions provided by the governments upon set up? I had a similar thought earlier, but was only going to recommend different sets for people depending on their status pre-move (i.e. something different for nation leaders or nobility/generals/etc) Anyways, I would support the idea. +1
  4. What is the reasoning for letting the VIPs on first? VIPs already enjoy many perks, and it doesn't really make much sense to just keep adding on new perks for people who donate to the server out of support for the server (and not simply for the perks)
  5. Well I would imagine that by resetting the map, they would have to find a way to explain the vast changes to everything, lore wise. While I agree that saying everyone needs to go around punching leaves again for a while is not optimal, transferring everything also is not, in my opinion. I have not been around for nearly as long as some of the other players, but that doesn't mean I'm jealous of what they have. I agree with what Zombez was saying, its an RP server, not a survival server. Why should having all that stuff matter, unless like in your characters case, your only ambition is to be a rich merchant, then I could understand the motive. I know its mainly because of the stats being down, but I just get a little confused when I see people who have fleshed out characters with interesting backgrounds, but all end up playing the same role: Super wealthy [insert intended profession] who is a fearless fighter
  6. That probably wouldn't be much different than allowing everyone to take everything, people could still just jam all of their diamonds/diamond armors/gold/pumpkins etc reasonably into one inventory, and just begin anew mega-wealthy
  7. Unfortunately, that is probably what would end up happening, and it would be a huge mess, but why should it? I'm fairly positive that everyone didn't create character bio's that involve immense greed and the need for a gigantic home. I'm a goblin, and i enjoy shiny things, but what use does my character have for a massive home with 6 bedrooms and diamond floors? Why/how would a grunt in a nation's guard/army be living in a house that you would see a noble living in? IMO if people played around a more rp-realistic setting this wouldn't be a problem, but there is still the issue of separating nobility i suppose. *This is all just my opinion, and not aimed at anyone or anything in particular, just an observation
  8. I agree, and also believe the player base should start from scratch. Allowing players to carry over their inventory and money would take away from the awe of a new world/continent and the lore that comes with it, and IMO, all that would happen would be players would move into their new capital and carry on with their business much like they were before. Having 500 diamond blocks and 100,000 minas isn't very conducive to fostering the feel of a new world, and as someone pointed out, super-inflate the new economy.
  9. Been trying to get a definite answer about that here
  10. Though I am not a moderator, I can tell you that continuously bumping your application (like you have been doing) is just going to end up increasingly ruining your chances. They explicitly state that you should not bump your application.
  11. Sounds like someone has a square fetish!
  12. Derpy work? lol. You are pretty damn talented, good work! Would like to see some more of what you've done.
  13. Throw it up when you're done and let us have a look, oh, and congrats on your villain app being accepted Urara!
  14. 1) Orc, Goblin 2) Krugmar 3) Town, Sanhar
  15. Would probably take some getting used to, but the software would be immensely useful. I stopped working on my art years ago, so I have nothing to use now other than a pencil, pen and paper. Really want to get my hands on some of that software people use, looks like a lot of fun.
  16. Ewoks? That wasn't my intention at all, but now that you (and another) have mentioned it, I had to get on Google and check for myself. There are indeed some that have a hood like that lol ><
  17. In what way? By the way, how often is your character in Krugmar? You'll have to excuse me, but I don't think I've ever seen you around (to the best of my knowledge).
  18. Ohh plateaus are cool too. Originally I had something like this in mind (example just came to me a second ago, lets see if anyone remembers this game XD )):
  19. Question about the last line of your story, if you don't mind my chiming in, but why do you say he refers to himself as a Goblin due to his father banishing him and that his identity as an Orc would cause him to be convicted of a crime? A Goblin is technically an Orc, so he would be identified either way, unless he had taken a new alias to hide his origin?
  20. Soo.. any ideas for a spirit that would be technology related, or I suppose if you're going for physical elements, perhaps redstone (a little goblin love :P)? Anyways, love the ideas so far, they all sound well thought out and are all interesting takes on what a shaman can be.
  21. Isn't something like that already in place? Or at least Shamans are brought along to consult the spirits on important matters (from what I've seen when out on the front lines). I feel like, due to the nature of Orcs, a small party would be needed for diplomatic missions anyways.
  22. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Did another quick sketch! Sorry Urara, he's not so cute anymore haha. I really need to get my scanner working again, and get one of those tablets you referred me to; they look really interesting.
  23. No no, no confusion, just me being an idiot lol. I apologize, but I just got up, read that and skimmed the bottom, and I think in my stupor I just saw "making" and "base." Now that I've read that more carefully, I'm a bit embarrassed. Disregard that first post!
  24. except goblins, or so I hear
