You raise a good point

I believe they should deliver gifts of redstone and redstone related items to the goblins-- the larger the gift, the deeper your love! EDIT: ^ Craotor probably just pisses on them, not sure if that helps answer your question or not

I know the basics of the Undead, but one thing i've never bothered to learn and need clearing up is: are the undead able to reproduce (i assume they are not) and if so how? Thank you for your help
-
It doesn't happen every time, but nope, i don't know either :(
-
Not necessarily-- sometimes my hunger bar is almost drained walking from cloud temple to Sanjezal
-
I don't know what system y'all are on, but i blow through food, i go through a stack in an hour or so, even if I'm just walking around

Ned has johnsmith, and i believe Kooka is using Doku Dark

OOC: Welp, missed another one. Why aren't things of this nature posted to the calendar, so the people can at least try to be on and increase the turn-out of these 'large-scale' events?
-
What war plans are being discussed? War can't be declared without the two leaders consenting to it, and even then, they wouldn't know any of our plans/tactics. This is merely a discussion of what people see should be happening/some changes that would be nice to see.

Why though? It's not as if there are loads of undead constantly attacking your cities everyday. IMO races should still fight, and if the undead opt to take advantage of the chaos, then all the better (that is if they do it well and don't just jump in randomly pew-pewing) because that is what they are supposed to do. I don't see any reason to band together, save for some of the larger events where undead fortresses are being seized, but even then the races still begrudgingly cooperate with each other, and can still lead to some unexpected outcomes.

OOC: Sanjezal is currently under heavy construction, therefore many of the things are subject to change. At this time, housing in Sanjezal is not for sale, but as Craotor said, look to the Sanhar slums. You can always purchase a home in Sanjezal when they go on the market.

Ug bruddahs, Gobrot be tired of all da skahin 'umies, 'warfies n twiggies runnin' round da skahin capital. Wot Gobrot needs is a list of all da trusted outsiders so me can put it in da guardhouse as a list, so anyone in da capital can be checked on da list, and if dey not on den we can klomp 'em! If ya gits know any of da trusted'uns den tell me who dey be.

@Zombez I feel like that would be a better solution. By doing so, you would greatly reduce the number of ghost-towns/forts/random massive structures out in the countryside. IMO a player should have to have proven their construction capabilities/ability to keep their structure in line with lore and receive an admin's (or 2) blessing before doing so. As it is, there are too many mega towns/forts that do nothing other than spread out the population more than it should be.

How do you make sure the group you select will be an honest representation, and not just the most popular players on the server who may or may not have the best interests of the people/server in mind? I don't write this to belittle the idea, but instead to get an idea of how you plan on going about this.

While we may not have as many members as the other races, we do have our fair share, but we could certainly use more players. Honestly, you cant expect us to all be on at once. Also, Sanjezal is under major construction, and the only people you could expect to see there currently are myself and maybe one or two others, but usually just me. There are signs in front of the gate for a reason. I do agree we are a bit stretched out though. If you want to see Orcs, you should go to Sanhar. One other thing, is how long do all the donators feel they are entitled to those minas? You're telling me if you got the minas in May/June you haven't spent them? Does being a donor entitle you to a certain amount of minas at all times regardless of the circumstances? It should be more like a one and done. It seems like some people, if they went bankrupt tomorrow, would argue they should be given their donator minas again. @Golden, you've done a great, and certainly impressive thing, but surely you can see that allowing people to bring over all that wealth would cause far more problems than the personal comfort it would provide. I do however, agree that donators should get their plots. What do I see happening if people are allowed their minas and items? A new Dawn's bakery would be established rather quickly and people would go and sit in it, chit-chatting and nothing much would change, and we'd probably be left with a horrible economy (save the few awesome merchants who actually role play their job-- looking at you Nowari! (sorry forgot your exact name :( )). The only groups I actively see out trying to do things en masse are the T.O. and the Orcs. What is wrong with having to mine and such again? I mean, hell, you could even have one large, rich public mine that could be controlled by a race, thus creating racial tensions and certainly creating some fun RP experiences/battles as people fight to control said mine. You -donated- because you love the -server-, or so I hope. Before anyone jumps down my throat, yes, I do plan on donating.

Just remember, grades>video games. As a college graduate, I can't stress enough how important that is. Anyways, hopefully we see you back again soon!

The Nawari Gypsies: Currently west of the Cloud Temple
Baisha replied to Old-Rattlesnake's topic in Aegis Roleplay Archive
OOC: Just heard about you as of last night (was one of the goblins out there), but I just wanted to drop by and tip my hat to you fine folks. I must say what y'all do is just awesome, and is exactly the kind of creativity/ingenuity and rp I like to see! Keep it up! -
Very understandable Urara; it's good to see you have your priorities straight. I wish you the best of luck in getting everything settled/fixed/back where they should be, and I hope we can see you back in Aegis soon!

Hey, they could always come hang out with us goblins! Goblins also get picked on a lot, but my character tends to be used at a football of sorts
-
Exactly what austin said. Every single time we move to do something we are met with people refusing to rp, people getting upset with ANYTHING we do (IMO mainly because there are more of us), and generally unreceptive/offended by any sort of conflict. So what are we to do? Despite the majority of us having VApps, people tend to think we need to get their permission before doing something as simple as raising our voice to them. The server population is too complacent with peace, and generally seem not to want any sort of conflict (without conflict, there is no RP, just people sitting around talking); the second someone tries to create some, everyone switches to OOC and bickers, followed shortly by rushing to the Ban Report forum. It is simply ridiculous. (Of course, if they outnumber us then they have no problem whatsoever and are more than happy to engage us) Perfect example of what I mean: Very often, people wander into Krugmar (and into sanjezal, which clearly has many signs saying Orcs Only), run up to the first Orc they can find and tell us how stupid we are/insult our leader, but are shocked when we try to run them off or kill them (following some RP on our parts).
-
Doesn't Cassandra fly around in god-mode? What fun is that? I would have no complaint if there was actually an opportunity to fight with her, rather than just having our city repeatedly blown up by someone who is invincible.
-
OOC: So, as of late, most of us have acquired our villain apps and have been trying to actively create new, unique RP experiences across the land. As most of you also probably know, this has been damn near impossible because of how offended anyone that we try to engage becomes (last nights event being the epitome of it). My question to you brothers (and sisters) is how do we continue to create RP events for people without all the drama/complaints. Short of attacking a nation, engaging in justifiable villainous actions should NOT require me to ask a person OOC and IC for their permission before doing so, as some people seem to think. People need to realize this is an RP server, and in turn will have conflict. Orcs are an aggressive race, we aren't going to isolate ourselves in Krugmar attempting to grow dandelions in the sand so we can skip around holding hands and be merry, becoming BFFs with every race. I'm tired of people treating LoTC as their new SMP/freebuild server and this needs to stop. You want to build your own town, so you wander around and then decide to build on Krugmar owned lands without the Rex's permission and then wonder why we are upset, seriously? Do people know anything about Orcs? Or have these attempts at shedding all conflict gone on so long that Orcs are on par with elves in terms or ferocity? When we lose the undead (*cheers*) how are we supposed to create any sort of racial tension if we are met with tears and threatened ban reports (not that they will stick) for any action we take, no matter how legal it is? /endrant Your thoughts?
-
Great work! I -really- hope they are included, and especially protected if you put them in; I would hate to see floating tree tops that big!
-
That is your opinion and I completely respect it, and also understand why you would be upset. I am also merely posting my take on the situation as well, and I could be completely wrong, its just how I view the current situation. As far as the thing about diamonds, you're right, it doesn't affect me directly, because my character has no use for diamonds. He is a goblin (goblins are not adept fighters, physically) so he opts for leather armor/bow only as far as combat goes. If you stop playing your character, where is the fun (this is a general statement, not aimed at anyone)? And with the MMO comment, I was merely implying it does more harm than good. For example, say several influential merchant(s) become wealthy and then begin slacking in their role as a merchant, this makes it harder on other players, and just having a load of materials (that are rarely checked) dumped into a ghost-shops inventory just takes away from the experience/immersion. Said merchant(s) begin giving hand outs to their friends/allies, which further takes away from the economy, and opportunities for newer players/middle class, forcing to them to look for groups/guilds with the most handouts. I am aware of many merchants that did very well for themselves and now stop playing in that role as much (e.g. strictly selling instead of buying). But while there is nothing wrong with them wanting to change up what they are doing, some just continue to sell and dominate the market with their vast fortunes if they decide to barely maintain their shop. There is nothing wrong with sitting around and chatting with friends, but when you stop playing your character, then it just takes away from the overall experience (again, my opinion, and speaking strictly in generalities). Though I wholeheartedly agree with what you are saying in that regard (mining problems), i really don't see the admins just resetting minas/items only and then leaving players to their own devices. I agree that the threat of constant resets would make anyone weary, but wouldn't having everything you need make you equally bored (just my take on it)? Personally, if I were to have multiple stacks of diamonds sitting around, I wouldn't have any real motivation to keep being a merchant, and would instead just sit around chatting all day, occasionally getting involved when there are server events. In my opinion, it just sucks for new players when a market is so saturated, that it just makes it difficult for them to get the same experience everyone else once enjoyed. EDIT: Please, I don't want this to turn to flaming or anything of that nature, would just like to have an interesting discussion about it
