IC
Name: Lykos Daekon
Race: Human, Northener of mixed blood
Weapon of choice: Greatsword or Family longsword+Shield.
Combat Expierience (Guilds, training): 60+ years as a huntsman of man, beast, undead. Proficient in squad leadership techniques, more than proficient in most types of combat, most notably the sword, the shield, and unarmed combat.
Factions you have fought against: As a mercenary, I have fought against almost all of the main nations, and have partaken in many wars. From siding with the Orcs against dwarves to Siding with The Teutonics against a generic warrior's guild.
Do you have any non-combat related skills: I am rather skilled in the construction and usage of explosives, and am apt at blacksmithing.
Why you wish to join us: Even a powerful warrior needs people at his back... And I sure as the Nether will not be a vassal to some chivalric shite-infested regime.
Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability-
1. You have recently raided a slave traders base along with four other rangers, and rescued 9 slaves in the process. You set up camp for the night but only have enough food for ten people, and you cannot leave the camp as there are monsters lurking all around. What do you do?
I have been a hunter of the beasts of the wild my entire life... So I would have three rangers follow me out into the dense forrest, where we will slay the beasts of the night as well as hunt down some extra grub. Upon eliminating the threats in a circular and growing patrol, we would return to the camp, with both the pelts of monsters along with food in our hands...
2. As you jump from tree to tree in a forest somewhere in Asulon, you see a noble looking man being help up by a bandit on the path. The noble is reaching into his pouch to hand over his money to the bandit as he is defenseless, and the bandit is holding a knife to the nobles throat, with a longsword at his side. How do you handle this situation?
I would lower myself to the ground and try my best to evade detection and get close to him... Then I would wait to see what would happen next.
-If the bandit takes the man's stuff and turns to leave, I would most likely move up behind him and slit his throat, taking the noble's stuff and handing it back to him, expecting a reward for my help.-
-If the bandit were to kill the noble and run off, I would track him down and give him the death he has earned... Then I would take all of his plundered goods for myself. After taking the bandit down, I would return to the corpse of the Noble and take what I need from him, be it minas or food. As the path is a rather public road, I would most likely leave the body there, as there is nothing to gain but disease from moving the body.
3. You and three other rangers are escorting a high profile noble through a valley near Renatus when suddenly a group of bandits ambush your unit and you are knocked unconscious. You awake to find one of your friends dead, and the remaining three you tied to a tree. Your friends remain unconscious and you can see the man you were escorting being dragged away into the hills by the bandits. Your weapons have been take and your hands are bound but the dagger of one of your fallen comrades lies but a meter from you. How do you escape and complete your mission?
Upon awakening, I would use my free legs to pull the corpse of my comrade to me, then pull out the dagger and pull it to my hands, where I would use it to cut my binds. Noticing the Noble is already out of sight, I would make myself free and work on cutting my fellows bonds to free them as well, trying to rouse them to conciousness at the same time. Upon waking them and freeing them, I would tell one to stay behind and tend to the body of our fallen comrade, as no one gets left behind, even in death... My other companion and I would then proceed in the direction that I had seen the V.I.P. being dragged off in, using tracking techniques learned from years as a hunter of man and beast to find the group of bandits. Upon finding the bandits, I would instruct my companion to stay and create a distraction as I snuck around behind the group. Upon the group being distracted, I would take the bandits out one by one until they are either alerted, where my companion and I would go into open combat with the bandits, or they are all taken care of. Upon eliminating the threats, my companion and I would retrieve the V.I.P. and continue our mission, meeting up with the other ranger on the way to our destination.
A warning... I am not the "sir yes sir" type...
