You say these things as if the residents do not know of me. You say these things as if I have not already held any power here. My power over Holm has, for years now, been second only to the king's. I have used that power not to cause war or kill, but to bring about new life to the city. As I have said before, just look at my detailed plans. I have almost single-handedly turned Holm on to a path that will lead to its' prosperity. The citizens of Holm know me, and, I believe, respect me. When the pirates attacked us, I did not cower in my home, no, I attacked the ship of the pirates. I put my own life in peril for the nation. And again, I ask, what has Syrilla done in the past for Holm?

((Yes! I can quote!)) Perhaps some of us prefer the location, or its' people? If we have the numbers to sustain ourselves, why should we not be allowed to govern ourselves?

But who would benefit from the dissolution of Holm? We as a nation do not actively seek to harm those around us. I know each nation wishes for more citizens, but is the destruction of those around them truly needed?

((Sorry for double post... on my phone and can't edit)) As for what you say, Ember, I am already the second-in-command of the nation, I am her steward. With no defined heir to the throne, who is there else to take command. I simply wish to keep the lands stable.

Why is there no need for the nation? if the people who live there wish to live there, then they should be governed by who they wish.

My plan for the city would involve a position of command for each major aspect, a leader of trade, a leader of housing, a leader of law and guards, a leader of navy, a leader of the army, and so forth. They will meet in council to discuss things. This is but a rough design, you see.

I was one of Holm's first residents, and when it became empty, I was the one who brought it back to life. I am the one who took the shell and gave it a future. I do not remember seeing you when we fought off the pirates. I was absent for a time, yes, but what is corrupt about hunting assassins? And yes, I did attempt to kill Barias. Why? Because Emberhard, and the majority of the city, believed he was corrupted by Majora. I have proof that he claimed this. The Ravens used me, as soon as things got bad, they cast me out of their city. I was wrong to hurt Barias, but Emberhard was wrong to betray my trust in him. I am the one who saved Holm, not you. The Nation needs a strong, stead, and most of all, familiar hand to guide it. Bringing a new leader from outside, especially one that is an enemy to the majority, would only bring about the fall of Holm. Hiebe has mentioned my occaisional use of Violence, and I admit that I am more veangeful than many. But, I keep such things to myself and work them out myself. When I am after somebody, I do not endanger holm by bringing her into my conflicts, I solve them myself. As my how I can help Holm, in a list, simply look at my plans for the city's renovation. Compare what I'VE done with the city to what Syrila has done.

Karlio, you have proved a friend of mine in the past, and have great skills. Under my rule, you would be given a position that would reflect on your skills and benefit us all.

My plans are the ones that revived Holm from how it used to be, I saved the nation. What has Syrila done for holm before? Digged out some of the lower levels?

Since I am Steward, and you have mentioned no heir to the throne, does this leave me in position to claim full leadership of Holm?

Aye... when I first requested troops I was asking for a few men to assist against two particular people, not the town. Its a shame how I was set up like this, the entire town betrayed me after I did an old friend a favor that I was asked to do.
