Aye. For now, I think the best course of action will be making the sea wall. This will be our greatest asset for security, forcing all traffic through a single area.

Some may wish to do so, and I have no qualms with those who do. But, Hiebe has entrusted me with Holm, and I have no intention to let him down.

*You see large notices posted around the city* After some speaking with Hiebe, the king of Holm, He's allowed me to put a few plans into action throughout the city. The plans will need workers, who will be rewarded for their assistance. The first specific goals I have in mind are these: 1: Remodeling the Fort's walls. At this point, they are crooked. With some work I have them evened out and increase space inside the area. 2: "Sea Walls". I plan to construct a small wall on the edge of the coast. Shores meeting hillsides, this will simply be a protrusion of the hill. The coasts of the icier sides, however, will have to be slightly raised bits of stone. This will prevent access to the island except through designated points, greatly improving our defenses. 3: Overholm Division Overholm lacks the general landscape or size to be a full, self-sufficient city. To remedy this, I plan to make it the "Refined, public face of Holm". Located on the surface will be our Military, Government, Upper-Class housing, Farms, Tree-Farm, and a few spots for our most prosperous merchants and innkeepers. 4: Underholm Division Under Overholm, Underholm will have four main vertical levels. - The uppermost will be the service tunnels, for guards and the military to travel quickly and away from notice. ((This level's floor will be y:41)) - Directly below will be housing. The total region area will be divided in quadrants, The North-East and South-east will be the Slums, South-west will be Middle-Classe, and North-west will be upper-class. The tunnels will be 8-Blocks wide and 8 Blocks tall. This will allow homes to have an upstairs and a "window", to make it more lively. ((The Floor will be Y: 32)) - The third level will be trade. The halls will be 8-Wide and 5-Tall. Shop prices will decrease the further they are from Deepholm's Main access point. Those who buy shops will also be taxed in either Minas or Materials, so the more successful shops will move towards the center as the less successful shops fall away from it due to being kicked out by higher taxes. Yeah, I know that the sentences are there to reflect the jail-time, and make things feel more realistic. But it's just one of those things that, IMO, should be made less-realistic for the sake of fun. Would being a thief in Skyrim be fun if you couldn't play the game for a day every time you went to jail?

I see what you mean, but IMO: Prison is caused by RP, and should be treated as RP. Sitting in a cell for an hour with a lot of RP going on involving it is fun for me as the player. Sitting in a cell for a day as nobody in town pays any attention is just boring. There are two solutions that I can see: 1: Drastically lower jail times 2: Give the inmate something to do. Perhaps he's locked in a room with a grated river, and he has to fish up 100 fish to serve his time.

I was looking over the nation's Information Thread when I noticed something about our jail times; They were in IRL days. Killing - Death or long prison time Destruction of property/ killing animals - 1-2 days (irl) prison time. (I'm going to assume that this refers to an RPly done animal killing) Stealing - 1 days (irl) prison time Causing basic trouble - depending on the account prison time or payment will be discussed. IRL, meaning In Real Life. Jail time, being caused by RP, is meant to be another form of RP, to be enjoyed by both parties involved. Exploring some ruined cavern-looking thing, only to be killed by the Mori was fun to me even though I lost about half of what my character had to his name. Doing nothing but sitting in a cell for my entire saturday is in no way fun. My idea? Shorten Jail remove the (IRL) from the prison times and keep it in MC days.
