What is it?: Roleplaying is taking a character you've created and living through that character. It's like taking on another life. It's always good if you want to get away from the real world. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is using knowledge learned outside of character and using it to your advantage. Like say, someone tells you out of character that they're character is planning something evil, but it's impossible to tell, but the person says it in character anyways. Powergaming is doing something in character that you can't do in real-life, such as grab someone’s hand while they hold a sword to your throat, or jumping over someone to get past them What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be very fun, and have the opportunity to roleplay with countless people, from just silliness to some more serious things and events. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on Overture. I didn't leave, but since it is soon to be on hiatus, which saddens me, I feel the need to continue roleplaying. Which vote number were you? 2,550 What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Chriskw8910 In-Character: Character Name: Valmaxian Zaltarish What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Valmaxian Zaltarish was always sheltered as a child, barely ever seeing the world beyond his lonely home in the Wildewyn Woods. He was taught at a rather young age how to use a bow by his father, and was also taught how to read and write by his mother. He has been a very caring man throughout his life. When he was a small boy, Valmaxian loved to play with the animals that roamed the forest near his lonely house; he always protected them or helped them when they were in danger. He would help people who were lost in the woods or help his parents with chores. He was very loyal to the people he met, if they asked something of him, it would be done to the best of his ability. He ventured to the cities outside of the Wildewyn Forest at the age of 45, about 80 years ago and was astonished at everything, all the temples and the great tall buildings and the giant walls, all the people, the guards in their fancy uniforms and the peasants in their ragged clothes, much like his at the time. He couldn't believe all the things he had missed out on, as soon as he ventured for a decade or so, he began to hear stories of a group of people devoted to nature, mainly known as the Druids. He was surprised he hadn’t heard of them sooner, he feels like that is exactly where he belongs. He very quickly was set on finding much more knowledge on the Druids and where they operate from, in hopes of joining their ranks and protecting nature and keeping it in balance. Your characters ambitions: To protect nature and keep it in balance. He also hopes to join the Druids and help them in their cause to preserve nature. Ever since we was a small boy, he loved to play with the animals that roamed the forest near his house, he always protected them or helped them when they were in danger. About 75 years ago, he finally ventured into the outside world and was astonished at everything, all the temples and the great tall buildings and the giant walls. All the people, the men in their fancy uniforms and the peasants in their ragged clothes, much like his at the time. He couldn't believe all the things he had missed, as soon as he was outside and ventured for a decade or two, he began to notice the true evil in this world, not just silly monsters in the forest, he began to fear for the people living on the streets of the city and the animals in the forest, he soon joined the local guard and was an exquiste fighter, after a while he heard of a group of Elves called "druids", he was fascinated by what they were said to be. He soon set off for further training, and knowledge on the Druids, in the land of Aegis. Your characters ambitions: To protect the people mostly, but also to make friends.
