The Future And What Is To Come -Ooc-
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Charles_Grimlie's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
Also, all of these plans excited this Elf to no end! I am sure that after this, the Dwarven race will be one to be more than reckoned with! About the outfits and pride uniforms, my elf already wears Brown and green, as is accustomed to most Wood Elfs. But, I could maybe add some gold trimming to the hem of my vest to show my true support for the Dwarfs! And, about your Ale being stolen, I know how a Dwarf can be without his ale. I mean, what fun is a sober dwarf, aye! Har Har! All Hail the Paragon! -
The Future And What Is To Come -Ooc-

Hey, Kjell. I've been noticing that with the major lack of residency in Kal'Alras, the Wheat is beginning to stack in the crates. And, even though we have 2 smiths, since one went to Kal'dwain to help build a castle without telling anyone ((Netherfang)), we have no Coal, our weapons and tools are busted, and Smooth Stone is growing scarce, even though we have plenty of Cobble Stone and Logs. I suppose that, what I'm saying is that, Kal'Alras might as well be dying. -
Hearing the Dwarfs vague recollection of his name or him being there, the elf couldn't help but smile at the sudden friendly disposition the dwarf had to the good friend of the dwarfs. But, he had expected this, knowing that Dwarfs, when knowing a person, could be the most whole-hearted and cheerfully offered race around. Upon hearing the offer for a drink at the tavern, the Elf could never turn down an offer like this. "Caseus! My name is Caseus. I have been here, already, to pay my respects to Darius. He was, perhaps, the only dwarf to call me his brother, and I him. It was a real shame that he had to die, but, I know that he had a reason. A man, like Darius, would never just die without cause. I would actually love to have a drink with you." And, thus, the Elf followed the dwarf into the tavern. The first thing that he realized, that the Tavern that had been there since he had been a resident, a good Six to Seven years ago, had been completely changed, as was odd to him. Stepping in, after the dwarf, he looked around, smiling curiously at the design. "I can't deny that I miss being closer to Mount Ire. You see, the King moved me to Kal'alras to protect me from the Orc invasion that was immanent, at the time. But, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss this, or being near the Capital. Certainly miss having a good, cozy house to sleep in. The Dwarf in charge, Rasun, has put me in a tent, and kept me there, even though he put me as head farmer. Every morning, I wake with frost on the tips of my ears."
-
Blinking at the countless changes that had been made to the town, the elf almost couldn't believe that it was still Kal'dwain. About to take a step further, he stopped as a familiar voice came calling behind him, almost making him jump. Upon turning around, a slow smile crept up the Elfs cheeks as he recognized the voice as none other than Morkas the Dwarf. By what he heard, Morkas was uncertain about him enough to not be hostile towards him. "Well, my name is Caseus. I used to farm here, in Kal'dwain, helping feed Darius and the many residents of this town, before it was abandoned. Then, I moved to Dawnstead and farmed there for a while before being moved to Kal'Alras. Which would explain my absence from around Mount Ire for so long. I do remember you, though. Your name is Morkas, right?"

Having much free time from his duties at the Kal'Alrasian farms, the elf walked along the path that led down towards the "Kal'Dwain" and "Mount Ire" Fork. Swinging his slightly worn, but trusty Golden hoe in the air, he came upon the fork and, about to turn right, stopped as sudden memories of Kal'Dwain wriggled their way into his mind. It had been so long since he visited last, and wondered if it was still there. The elf, upon turning left instead of right, made his way down the steps and along the side of the frozen river, looking to the left as he passed the landmark that led to the "sacred place". He didn't know why, but he always got chills when he passed by. Hurrying up, just to get past, he traveled up and through the long, flowing pastures that divided the Mainland and Kal'Dwain. Even though it seemed so close, he knew it was still a walk. Crossing the Grassy expanse, he finally arrived at the gates, already noticing that it wasn't what he was used to, being all of those years ago. Entering under the Gate, he looked around curiously as he entered, having no idea what awaited him on the other side.

A Knife Well Used

Having heard of the location of Darius' grave, and, with a bit of asking around, the Elf finally found the Grave of his dear friend. Taking off his hat, he began to cry, not ugly crying, but the respectful silent crying one does for a dear friend. Lowering his gaze to the grave, he bowed his head before speaking. "Darius, Dear old Darius. I may not be one of your clan, but you acknowledged me as your brother, and I know that, for a dwarf to do that to an elf, is rare. I am honored to have met you, to have fought by your side, and helped build your Town. I..." sob "I...never thought that you would be gone so quickly. You gave me a home, kept me well and able, even bent tradition to see that I had everything that made me feel at home. You were the kindest dwarf that I have ever had the Honor of meeting. I will never forget about you, will never forget your valor, your kindness, and your bond to your brethren. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am, today. I owe you my life, and now, I can never repay it. But, I won't stop helping others, will never falter where others grow impatient. I will do it, all for you, in your name. Darius...I...will miss you, dearly." Turning, putting back on his hat, the Elf walked away, leaving behind the grave of his first real friend. Looking straight ahead, head never looking down in sorrow, he wiped his eyes and made his way back to Alras. He would keep his word, his vow, and live the rest of his life to the fullest. If not for himself, for Darius. A Sad smile upon his face, and a swig from his own wine, he walked faster before breaking out into a run, caring not for the monsters that scattered the night. He felt that nothing would stop him as he disappeared beyond the Horizon. -

((Oh no no no. First, you say that you grieved the death of your father, that was great and okay. But then, you somehow bury your father with no lead up to it, or allow anyone ample time to respond after your initial post, thus the double posting comes into play. As for the powergaming, we neither saw how you got to Kal'dwain, where your father was, you didn't interact with Hogarth to talk about your father or retrieve him for, set, burial. Which, in my opinion, was unfair to anyone who was wanting to roleplay with Hogarth as he entered the town of Kal'dwain, aka, me.)) -

Smiling, Caseus walked down the all too familiar stretch of rode that led to the town that he used to call home. Finally having time away from the Alrasian farms, he was only more than excited to give Darius a surprise visit, and maybe even have a drink with the Old Dwarf. Approaching the Town Gate, the Elf saw, to his surprise, a person, carrying a rather large object over his shoulders. Being the helpful Elf he was, he ran, picking up his pace to get to the person. As the Elf got closer, he couldn't help but smile as he saw Hogarth. Wondering what he was lugging, the Elf realized, as he got closer, that it was a body. Coming up behind the Dwarf, he panted softly before speaking. "Hogarth, hello! I didn't expect to see you here. What you got over..." Finally seeing, full view by what Hogarth had been carrying, the Elfs eyes suddenly widened. "...your..." His smile fell as he blinked in disbelief, Caseus shook his head. "No...No! Darius! I..." Seeing the blood staining Hogarths shoulder from Darius' motionless body, his turned to one of Despair. "Hogarth, He...He isn't..." -
Taking himself through the Dwarven capital, visiting during his free time from the Alrasian farm, Caseus heard Mili speaking from his usual spot. Figuring he would listen in on the announcement, the elf walked behind two of his dwarven friends, quietly listening to Mili. Hearing the whole story, his eyes widened slightly, shocked that his own kind would do that to a dwarf. As the Elf looked down at the axes and arrow, he sighed, disappointed that such unnecessary violence still existed in Asulon.

The Elf couldn't help but overhear Olafs idea, eyes widening "B-Blow up the Meadery!? But...I..." Going quiet, the elf frowned, not wanted everyone to think he was against fighting the Orcs. Thinking about his house being blown up and having to move into Mount Ire with the Others gave him the chills. "I...If it would take care of those orcs. Living underground..might...not be so bad." He said, smiling a bit nervously, until he remembered Olafs "sacrifice" part of the plan. "Wait, just who were you thinking of Sacrificing for this great plan of yours?

A Tragedy At The Farm
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Diri/GreenKoopaBros's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
Reading the added note, Caseus found Mili's "house" and pinned a notice on Mili's door. "Had Hogarth take care of it, but thank you for your concern and will think of you in the future, if needing anymore doors locked" -Caseus -
Walking into Mount. Ire, making his way to the middle of the cross way, the Elf takes a staff, and, tying a note to the tip, slams the bottom into the stone. Frowning worriedly, the elf only took one look around before running off, leaving the Noted staff for all to see. "The Livestock pens at the Dawnsworn Farm are in dire need of locks on their doors. All of the livestock have been slaughtered, not once, but twice. The first time, was chickens, pigs, and cows, all killed. The Second time, Over Twenty Chickens. I am trying to calm what few chickens are left, but this has got to stop. If anyone knows of a skilled locksmith among the dwarfs, please send a bird to Caseus the Elf with info about this smith. For, if this continues, the farm will only ever produce fruit and bread, and I know that many dwarfs prefer their meat. " -Caseus

Well, actually, I'm only the head farmer. If not the only farmer, there most of the time. Hildr and Hagan gave the farm to Dom, so I'm not exactly the one in charge. But, if Kjell allows it, I'm sure Dom would, also.

((I know that I posted this in the new "server and maintenance" thread, but I thought it would make for interesting Rp.)) --------------------------------Rp Line------------------------------------------- Having just finished with a long day of harvesting, the Elf sat in the Dwarven Tavern of Mount Ire, taking another swig from the flask of Pumpkin wine he kept on his hip. The Elf couldn't help but smile a little at all of these glorified hunting stories of life and death and the prize of the kill. For he lived it, every night on the farm, monsters came and surrounded the farm, only to try and steal the Capital crops. Having long since ran out of arrows, the Elf had had to resort to nothing but his Hoe of Iron to protect himself during the long, beast filled nights. He had scratches, bites, even gashes that he had to sew up, himself. But none of them shown, for his tunic and leather covered his whole body, if not thinly. The Elf could talk on and on about how he had brushed with death many a time, but knew that no one would take a farmer seriously when it came to such warrior-like tales of Valor and Adventure. So, sitting back in his chair, flinching from the recently mended wound of a Pigmans blade along his chest, he stayed quiet. Knowing that as soon as he left the Tavern, he knew exactly what awaited him back at the farm. His only peace of mind, a Female dwarf by the name of Ellsia, who was his guard, made him hopeful of the nights that lie ahead.

((And Ellsia sounds all of the more happy to have to Protect an elf, Eh? Heh.))

Patch 2.7 | Skill System 2.0
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Deleted User 009's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Then don't sacrifice anything, Make your character build enough skill to do the job. Why do you think that we have the /delevel command? You obviously aren't independent if none of you can do a simple job. Just pick people in your Troope to harness these skills so they become more of an asset to you? Get what I'm saying? -
Patch 2.7 | Skill System 2.0
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Deleted User 009's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Hmm, then maybe you stop being cheap and hire someone who "can"? I mean, do the Nawari not have money, or are they so stingy that they aren't willing to pay a person with the proper knowledge, like a normal person would, to do it better than you could. I'm starting to think that people aren't understanding the Purpose of this new Patch... -
Patch 2.7 | Skill System 2.0
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Deleted User 009's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Nander, this only further proves my point. If you "Didn't" know the proper way to prepare the wood, you would only be wasting it. Or, if you aren't patient enough or have the money to pay for the service, then just burn the logs like a normal person would. As Vaq said in the new update, he is trying to make a more Rp friendly environment. Can't you see that a skill system like this is going to create jobs? Actual shops other than item, grocery, or blacksmithing. I can see Craft shops, Furniture makers, Bakeries (aka, cakes)! Don't you understand? You can't make the logs into sticks since you don't have the proper knowledge (skill number) to, so you would do the smart thing and have someone do it for you, so they can do it right. -
Patch 2.7 | Skill System 2.0
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Deleted User 009's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Wow Nander, You look like Gandalf! And I don't think that's an axe that you are holding. But, as a person who splits wood in the winter, I have to differ from your views. Making anything out of wood, requires skill. Even chopping the wood, you have to know where and how to chop it, or you just end up with uneven pieces with a lot of wasted splinters. But, This new skill system allows for a LOT better rp. This means that, if you actually need good sticks, planks, tools, then you will go to the right person that can make them and pay/barter with them for the job. -
Dwarven Workforce!
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to no longer active's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
*Just happening to be in the Capital at the time of Mili's announcement, admiring the progress thus far, Caseus frowned as he knew that, because of his new job at the farm, nearby, he no longer had free time to come and help with the building, anymore. Hearing the mention of Dwarfs only, the Elf smiled and, Hoisting his Hoe of iron over his shoulder, Headed out of the city. He knew that they would be more than enough good hands for such a task, and he was needed at the farm to keep the Dwarfs fed* -
The First Order Of Your King
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Charles_Grimlie's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
Ah, that will be perfect! I use to farm there, and held a claim in the old public mine. This will be great for me. And, about a price. I can Afford anything up to 4,000 Mina, and work off any other costs it would take to build a house in those parts. I can even donate Wood and cobble for the building, if needed. I can also promise you that I am a great farmer and will tend the lands when others are away. Hopefully this will show the king that I am true to His race. -
The First Order Of Your King
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Charles_Grimlie's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
*Looks to Mili* Did you, perhaps, Joke with me in telling me there was a village? Because I am told that there is no room in the Capital, especially for an Elf like me. I get the feeling that I'm not going to be able to follow my Dwarven Brethren to the capital. I have Farmed for Kal'dwain for Nearly Two years, Darius gave me my first home, and now I am not allowed to live among him anymore? I am heartfallen and feel, at a loss. I have been told by Darius of the Ironguts, my long friend and previous Baron of Kal'dwain, that he will take care of it. I Trust him with my life, but I know that there is only so much that he can do to sway the king in my favor.
