Waddling up the steps that led to the farm appointed to him, Bifor stopped as the gate was down and locked. Thinking this only a precaution, he went down to the other pathway that led to the Lumberyard, only to find that it, too, was locked. Bifor Frowned curiously before turning back around and heading back into the city. Upon finding Hiebe, he approached him. "'eh, 'iebeh, Oi was on mah weh tuh deh farm. Buh' sum'un 'as lowered 'nd locked deh gates. Yeh knuh anehtin' 'bout dis?"

I couldn't have said it better, myself. My new character, Bifor, found his way to Karik. Upon getting there, he saw three dwarfs, none of whom could help him find any housing. I thought this to only be a fluke, as it was on a Weekday. But, as the weekend came, I could find no one in Karik, and everyone on teamspeak said that they were busy on building 3.0. I'm at my wits end. If I don't find any decent Role play in Karik, today, at all, I'm leaving and seeking residence, elsewhere. Just because a new map is coming, doesn't mean we should all stop Role Playing. We need to build memories, make friends, form alliances, and fight wars. 3.0 changes nothing. We, as a community, owe it to LotC to stay vigilant and act as if nothing is happening. I, for one, am going to keep coming onto the server whenever I can. Edit: I...miss the skills plugin. There, I said it!

Something Large comes out of the Water

Bifor couldn't help but take pity on his Dwarf. Being as this Dwarf may to be so quiet. But Bifor dare not let this falter his attempt to help the Nude Dwarf. "Mah name beh Bifor. Bifor, the Dwarf, who was still looking for anyone to allow him housing, saw a waddling figure, nearly as big as he was, coming up the path. Blinking, he burst out into a Guffaw of a laugh, walking further to greet the strange Dwarf. "Oi Oi Oi! Wut be dis now dat yuh chuz tuh stumble 'bout as so? Sure, et beh moiteh foin wet'er down 'ere, buh not many udders would 'ave duh strength'v stomach es ah. 'ere." Reaching into his Satchel, Bifor procured a rather large blanket that he had been using in the absence of a bed. Shaking the flecks and food from it, he would throw it around the other dwarf, smiling. "dere now. yuh'll beh warm an' toasty'n nuh toim. Now. 'ho beh yuh? Ah'm new tuh dese lands, an' ah mus' say. Alec's Progress Report: Submit Soulstone Ideas~
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Alec's topic in News & Announcements Archive
If I were put in charge of that Tavern on that way to the Human Kingdom, I would make sure to run it as well as I could. So many people pass by there, and the only reason that people don't stop, is because of the lack of an Inn Keep. If someone were to be there most of the time, they would be certain to get a lot of Rp. Why doesn't anyone want to run that place? I can't think of any way that that Inn/Tavern Wouldn't get customers at least every 15 minutes to half an hour. -

Even though I agree to more travel so the Inns and Taverns along the side of the road get attention. To what end would this meet? I have "never" seen an inn keep at that inn that exists on the way to the Human kingdom, let alone the Tavern in Solace. We need dedicated members to take care and run these places, or they are just abandoned and run-down shacks on the side of the road that no one wants to visit. What are we going to do about this? Hmm? -
I think Blundermore was just trolling when he asked for the TS IP. lol EDIT: This just in, amazing news. The TS server is down, I repeat. The TS server is down!...That is all...Thank you...We will now continue you with you regularly scheduled Broadcast.

Some recent plugin changes
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to shiftnative's topic in News & Announcements Archive
I say that, for professions, we should be allowed to choose 3 skills to be good at. That way, People will use more thought in how to create their characters, without being able to just throw Credits around. -
I am sorry, but my internet is off. I don't know when it will be on again, but I know exactly what race I want to be (dwarf), what skills he will have (farming, cooking, unarmed), and his personality and accent will fair! So, rest assured, when I come back, I'll be ready to dive right into the Rp world, once more!
-
(Well then, I shall be a dwarf! I shall begin creating him. And I already have a good idea how I want him to act and what he will look like! Also, going back to this account, since I found out that I can change my Display name. Am thinking of Bifur Musichands as a name, what do you all think?)

This Just In - Minecraft Olympiad !
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to shiftnative's topic in News & Announcements Archive
And, I want a video of the design of out "plot" and the designs of others, to see how we matched up! I can't wait to see how Role Players will use their imaginations to make that "plop" beautiful and unique! -
Coming from his farm outside of Kal'Alras, the Elf entered the city and, about to head to his shop, had the thought to check the notice board for anything new. Upon reading the new bit of parchment upon the wood, the Elf just stood there, blinking. "I-I...what?...I..." The Elf's brow furrowed as something welled up inside of him. Enraged, he burst out, his eyes seeming to glow. "What the Nether is this!? They take so much time planning and building such an amazing and impenetrable city, just to tear it down!? What possible reason would they have, to do this!?" Toppling a little before standing back up, the Elf's eyes dimmed again as he held his head. Realizing what had just happened, he looked around, making sure no one heard that, and ran to his shop, looking down at the ground, as if embarrassed of his anger.
-
Upon journeying to Kal'Anart to purchase some Iron, the elf happened upon an odd, but attention demanding, parchment. Upon reading it, his mouth slowly fell open as his gleaming purple eyes went wide in disbelief. "I...I can't believe it. The Dwarfs, the dwarfs are doing it!" Bursting into laughter that was very opposite of mocking, but joyous and happy, he couldn't help but at least jump, once. "No more senseless blood shed for Orcs or Dwarfs! Even if this is temporary, I welcome it, and I pray that this friendship stays. If this is what it takes to end this pointless war, then I hope this Order never is defeated!" The Elf would continue laughing as he ran back to Kal'Alras, not able to wait to tell the others the news.

Vaq, I, for one, think that this update with further enhance the RP aspect of the server. Starving until you had 10 health left, was unrealistic and made you not think much of starving. But, the main thing that I see, that is still wrong with the skills, is that people with 100% skills still have a chance to fail at their "legendary" skill. I mean, I'm a 100 Cook and I only have an 88% chance of cooking chicken, but 100% on cooking anything else (except cake, I only have 58% on cake, which still doesn't make sense). Other than that, I have easily adapted to these new skill updates and will be looking forward to playing on the server, again, sunday. And, in the meantime, I will be on the second server, fooling around! :D

[Discussion] Skill System Changes
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Viper3X's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Casamir...Thank you. I couldn't have said it better, myself. Oh...and...Parading_Bull? Are you seriously telling me that you have the patience and time to write pages and pages of lore, background, and history of your 700 year old character and how they were able to master set "legendary skills"? Wouldn't you rather be playing than writing? I mean, this isn't a text base rpg, and I doubt that you could memorize every single experience that you ever had? It would be a LOT easier to memorize "experiences" than "words". And, having actually "lived" it with your character, on the server, you would have a lot more fun telling the story of about a time your character created his first diamond sword on the Anvil if you had actually been there to do it and was actually surprised that you did it. Do you seriously want to deprive yourself of that satisfaction? -
[Discussion] Skill System Changes
Diri/GreenKoopaBros replied to Viper3X's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Okay, First off, grinding creates story and history. If I wouldn't have grinded my swords at one point, I would have never been brave enough to cut through the Desert and meet three other guys fighting of an "army" of Monsters (literally over 100 mobs by some ruins) And, if you were able to just get 300 skill points at the beginning, there would be no use for apprenticeships and you wouldn't feel as accomplished when finally mastering a skill. Now, I love everything on this server. I'm never bored, and, if I ever do get bored, rp is only a boat ride away. But, like I said in the previous paragragh, I'm proud to have 100 farming and cooking, because I earned it, and it wasn't given to me. I have been able to adapt to this new change rather easily, but other people seem to think of it as a burden. Tell me this, if you were able to level up your blacksmithing to 100 by just distributing the points, would you be as proud and dedicated of your skill if you hadn't earned it? That brings me to the level 100 problem. I am a level 100 cook, and I have an 88% chance of making chicken. That is completely unfair. If I'm a legendary chef, I should never have to worry about making mistakes in the kitchen, with chicken OR Cake (which I have a 58% chance of cooking two of them.). I am perfectly happy with everything...but that. -
Carrying a flyer of good size to the entrance of the docks, the Elf would stick it into a tight crack in the stone, running slime under the bottom to make sure it stuck. Satisfied, he would head back to his home to get ready for his next Harvest. On the top of the page, a picture of A Farming Shop would be visible, with text below. (Texture pack used for Picture: Wolfhound) Kal'Alras Farming Shop This Flyer is to announce the upbringing of a shop, run by a farmer, for the common people. We sell our stock at low, affordable prices for all to enjoy! We even take orders either small, or in bulk by city or person. We have everything a Farmer could ask for. Produce Apples: Two Mina Melon: Two Mina Pumpkins: Four Mina Meats Fish: Four Mina Pork: Six Mina Chicken: Six Mina Steak: Eight Mina Other Various Food Items Wheat: One Mina Sugar Cane: One Mina Eggs: Three Mina Mushrooms: Three Mina Stew: Seven Mina Seeds Seeds of any kind: One Half Mina Mina Livestock Leavings Bones: An Eight Tenths of a Mina Feathers: Three Mina Leather: four Mina Farming Tools Wooden Hoes: Twenty Mina Stone Hoes: Thirty Five Mina Iron Hoes: Sixty Five Mina Shears: Fifty Five Mina And, for those Farmers who enjoy a Hobby, we also sell fishing poles, for those long Days and Nights on the farm. And, if you have a special bulk order that the Shop chest amount won't satisfy, Leave a Note, to Caseus, (leave me a private message) stating your Order and what Size your Order is, and I will work as hard as I can to fill out that order.
-
Caseus would overhear Gulroid and sigh in relief, closing the book. "Oh, thank you, sir. I mean, I would have been willing to hand over the supplies to their respectable shops, but i was just wondering if I would get in trouble by continuing to sell those items." The Elf pondered at something and smiled. "I know! I can sell them the supplies if they wish to buy from me. Rasun buys his wheat from me for his bakery, I'm sure that I could sell Raw meat and other essentials to anyone wishing those items from me."
-
Walking through the gates, the Elf would see a rather odd looking book hanging from the pillar near his shop. Picking it up, he read it, in its entirety and frowns curiously as he rereads. Running to Rasun, the Elf would stop, panting a little "R-Rasun, I read the city book, but...I'm a little worried" The elf would point out the lines that he had read carefully (in the quotes) "Does this mean that I can no longer sell meat, leather, feathers, bones, fish, or fishing rods at my shop?"
-
Watching Silvos leave, the Elfs mouth was hanging open a little. Of course, Silvos was right. Caseus' effort to support the city of Kal'Alras, had been much appreciated by all. He was always forgetting just how much everyone appreciates him and he couldn't help but blush a little. He had, once again, been foolish. Maybe he had been wrong to think of Gulroid as so, so quickly. Maybe he could show as much respect to Gulroid, as he does Rasun. The Elf smiled as he cleaned off the counter, deep in thought.
-
Caseus would halt at the voice of Silvos, his friend. He knew that this would be a long talk, so, setting down his sack by the bench, the Elf rubbed his worn fingers between his tired eyes as he looked to the ground, speaking to the High Elf. "Silvos, my friend. I have worked so hard to please Kjell. I never knew that, before I met him, that I would have to work so hard to gain his trust. I may be over thinking this. But, what if Gulroid is the same way. I thought that I had it easy, finally, for the last few months. And now, I have to give in to, yet, another authority that, of which, I have no idea about?" The elf would sigh as he laid back onto the bench, staring up into the Sun-lit sky. The Sun, giving him comfort from it's warmth, before he finally looked to Silvos, an exhausted smile on his face. "Maybe you are right, and maybe he is a good, kind Dwarf. But, I have seen things, Silvos, things that I never wish to see again. I will respect Gulroid, for Rasun, but that is it. Until Gulroid shows his loyalty to the City and his honor...He will only be, to me, like Kjell was, before he gained my respect. This may be the tired me talking...But I made a promise to a Friend, that I would show kindness to all. But it has been hard, and the Dwarfs have made it so. Between you and me." He said, leaning forward, in a whisper. "I find it easier to show respect to most Orcs, than some Dwarfs." The Elf fell back again, a pained frown on his face at how he had just trusted Silvos with that. But he didn't care, how could he?
-
The Elf, upon entering the city through the gates, notices a notice on the side of the Bakery and, before turning to head to his Farming Shop, walked over to the notice and read it, his smile slowly falling. He almost couldn't believe what he had just read. "So, that is what the Goldhands were up to, down there, eh?" Caseus said with a sigh. "Well, If this Gulroid person thinks that he deserves my respect, then I hope he's able to earn it. I look up to Rasun, but I have no idea who this new "Lord" is. Sounds too much like the title that those richer, higher up families use, and they are almost always snobbish." Turning around, the Elf headed to his shop, trying not to fear the worse.

Poll For The Future Of The Dwarves

Being a Loyal Elf to the Dwarf Kingdom, am I allowed to vote for this? -
((Well, I know that I won't be able to fight, so, good Luck everyone! I'll get on as soon as I can and see who won the first battle!))
