Actually, both of those would work with the function. I remember back in Athera I used the modreq function to do onsite events. That ability is nonexistent today, as moderators are moderators, not even team members. However, due to this, the feasibility of the function working as a general event team member request would work.

I like it then though the ones that have the certain event sites set up they know what they want to do with it where other members of the ET might not or if they have a general idea might not know how to flex around it or perhaps chain events case in point I was at this event site the ET responsible for it was Bokratz say if someone else were to answer it they might not have known what Bokratz wanted to do with the ES or the follow up event if someone else were to answer it it might get lost in translation for lack of a better term but in theory I feel like it could work if done properly.

An easy fix for what you brought up is to mark "general" events with a [!]. But yeah, I think it really can work.
