The statue of Cernunnos stood before Vienele, and to its right, on the other side of the brazier, was the statute of Cerridwen. The light from the fire illuminated the blade of the sword in her hands and her left side. Guyden was a few feet back, merely watching in silence, arms resting against his chest. Her first druid task. Give an offering to both Cerridwen and Cernunnos. But it couldn’t be just anything. Not just a random flower she found, an object that she bought or anything of that sort. No, the offerings had to be of importance to her. A part of her. With a deep breath, she knelt in front of the statue. Carefully, she laid the sword down in front of Cernunnos’ statue. A sword given to her by her father when she told him she wanted to go out and travel. Something to keep her safe, he'd told her. If she was going to go out and travel across the land, then she needed something to protect herself with. “A sword given to me by my father.” She murmured. “I give it as an offering, because it’s important to me.” "But why is it important?” Guyden finally broke his silence, otherwise unmoving. "Because… He gave it to me as a way of protecting myself… A way to keep myself safe... While I was traveling the world.” She replied, not once straying her eyes from the sword, which now lay at the foot of Cernunnos’ statue. She’d always held it dear, even when it wasn’t on her person, even though she hadn’t needed to use it very often. "It was the last time I saw him alive." Guyden gave an approving nod before falling into silence once more. Then she eased herself up and moved to the statue of Cerridwen. It was a long moment of staring at the statue. With a slight shake to her hands, she reached up, undoing the strap for her violin. The strap slackened, and with that, her violin was removed from her back. She knelt before the statue, violin held in her arms. “The breath of life that my mother gave me by teaching me music…” She sucked in a breath, before placing the violin at the foot of Cerridwen’s statue. It was hard, something she’d had with her for so long, even longer than the sword from her father. The violin her mother had given her when she’d first began to learn to play all those years ago. The comforting weight as it rested against her back, the feel of it in her hands. As hard as it was to let go of the sword from her father, this gift from her mother was even harder to let go of. That violin had been a part of her, an extension of herself. But it wasn’t supposed to be easy. One last look at her violin, and she stood. Guyden motioned her towards the brazier, where he offered her a knife to cut her palm with. “Just a little bit of blood, doesn’t need to be much.” He told her with a smile. “Alright.” She nodded her head and brought the blade across her open palm, blood already beginning to drip from the wound. The knife was given back to Guyden, and she held her hand over the fire, palm facing down. A few drops of blood dripped into the fire. An oath to the Aspects. “Ahh, now let me take care of that.” Guyden pulled some bandages out of his pockets, immediately tending to her hand. “It doesn’t really hurt.” She said, though she let him bandage her hand. Bandaged tight enough that it wouldn’t come loose, but not too tight that it would cut off her circulation. Her first druid task was done. It wasn’t a decision that she had made lightly, one she’d taken plenty of time to think on. But it was the first step towards the new path she’d chosen for herself.

Unfurl the Banners; A Call of Blood and Honor
Criala replied to Areon's topic in Axios Roleplay Archive
Another individual soon steps out into the light, along side her husband. A small smile tugs at her lips. "I hope to see many of our people return." She murmurs to him. One long strand of hair shining a pale blue beneath the moon's light. -
This sounds pretty interesting. Sign me up.

Vienele stood in the crowd, positioned closer to the front, with a smile on her face. She clapped as Arahaelth made her way up on the platform. Her smile widened when Calius was motioned forward onto the platform as well. Once again, she clapped, however it was louder this time, showing complete support for her love.

Though it was quieter than the shuffling of armor, another set of foot steps sound. Dark blue fabric brushed against the ground, though it stops once the midnight clad woman did. Ele'ira Des'Nox. She stops at the soldiers side, her hands clasped together behind her back. Every so often as he speaks, she gives a nod of her head in approval and agreement, long white hair spilling over her shoulder. With her crimson gaze on the man beside her, her husband to be, she speaks. "Let us reclaim our cavern."

A smile was spread across Lielle's face, standing to Jayce's left. There was an infant sleeping soundly against her chest, supported by one of Lielle's arms. Her free hand patted Jayce on his arm, her smile growing wider. "Welcome to the family, Jayce."

This page would have a small note in the top right corner. The note was written more recently than the poem on the page, since the ink of the note isn't as faded as the ink used for the poem. The note reads 'Who would have thought those red eyes belonged to my husband'. The Night Time has blurred by, Memories have faded. But one night remains clear, A night that I will never forget. So dark that one could hardly see, In a small town outside of the bridge. A place where I was caught, By men who wished elves dead. Fear flooded my entire body, As I saw my death fast approaching. My eyes closed tightly, Awaiting what fate they had for me. But what plans they had for me, What torment they would have put me through, Were stopped by a group, Clad in midnight blue and light armor. One stood out the most among them, A tall masked 'ker in front of me. Our eyes met, however brief it was. His eyes were an intense red I'll never forget. Their victory was easily won, And just like that, they were gone. Those eyes remained fresh in my mind. Whoever he was, the night will only know.

There would be no note on the next page. But there would be spots scattered across the page where something wet had fallen and dried. Remember So many years have passed by, Since the day you left my side. It's so hard to not cry, As I remember every detail. The feel of your white hair. The kind look in your eyes. The smile that was always on your face. The helping hand you always offered. The way you showered us with affection, And never failed to say just how much you love us. The flowers you brought, And the warmth you gave. For a moment, I'm a little girl again. You're still here, a smile on your face. As you kneel down and stick a flower in my hair. I reach out to you, but you're whisked away. Far too soon, the moment is over. You're no longer here, and I'm grown again. The tears begin to fall, As I'm stuck longing for my father's embrace.

The first page of the book would have a small note in the top right corner. It reads 'For my cousin, Mizziyrn. I know how much you miss your wife and children'. Devotion The time without you, it has been long And my heart still sings the song Of sorrow without you here, But I'll forever hold you dear. My devotion will not be swayed, And I miss you more and more each and every day That passes by with you here. Forever, I'll love you my dear. Your laughter and smile, The sounds of our children, Holding you both in my embrace, Are the things that I miss the most. You will forever live on in my heart. And whenever I do depart From this world at my life's end, I will be with you again.

A book, bound in brown leather, could be found resting beside the steps leading into the Des'Nox home. Across the front is scrawled Lielle. Maybe she forgot it the last time she was sitting on the steps, writing in it. Or maybe it was left there on purpose so others could read it. One will never know just why it was there. What could be inside? If you open the book, you may find something of interest. You may not. You'll have to open it to find out. Should you choose to pick up the book and read it, you would find a number of poems written on the pages.

A soft humming can be heard by any who pass by the Citadel gardens. One look would show Lielle among the flowers, perched upon the stone lining the garden. A small pile of cut flowers lays beside her. Her gaze trails up any time someone walks by. They are greeted with warmth, before she goes back to weaving the flower crown in her hands.

Background For most of her life, Lielle lived on her own. Her father passed away when she was only a few years old, and once she was old enough to take care of herself, her mother wasn't around as much. But after a couple decades of going from man to man, her mother remarried and settled down. She married into the Zanexes family, giving Lielle an older brother, Malystryx, and a cousin, Mizziyrn. As the years passed, she grew closer to her new brother and cousin. Mizziyrn was the one that taught her how to use a sword, helping her to increase her skill. And Malystryx would listen to her when she would read the poems she'd written. But eventually, the two of them moved, and it was many years before she saw her brother or her cousin again. In the time of Asulon, when she was maybe forty, she spent most of her time travelling. With the way her mother went through men, she wasn't keen on being at home. During her travels, she came upon in a town just outside of Normandor's bridge. In the night, she tried to sneak through the town. But she was caught by a couple of members of the White Rose. She would have been exterminated had a group of Mali'ker clad in midnight blue and light armor not intervened. A tall, masked Mali'ker stepped in front of her. The two of them only shared a brief glance, but his vibrant red eyes stuck out to her. After the group took care of the White Rose members, they were gone before she could ask the masked 'ker his name. But she never forgot that night or the red eyes of the masked 'ker. Little did she know, she'd meet him again many, many years later. Then, during the time of Athera, she received a letter from Mizziyrn, asking her if she'd like to come and live in Ker'nor. Eager to see her cousin again, she was quick to agree and traveled to Ker'nor as soon as she was able to. When she arrived at Ker'nor, she was pleasantly surprised to find herself reunited with not only her cousin, but her brother as well. After living in Ker'nor for a few weeks, she finally met the leader of the dark elves. Dak'ir Des'nox. The man she'd only heard of from the others that lived there until that moment. He was different than she had expected. They seemed to connect instantly. It wasn't long before they became a couple, and she was swept off her feet. After being together for four years, on the thirteenth day of Snow's Maiden in 1504, the two of them were married. That was the day she became Lielle Des'nox, the only wife of Dak'ir, with Mizziyrn being the one who performed the ceremony. Then, in Vailor, they had moved to Vivec. The time there was enjoyable for the most part, give or take a few incidents. After many years of being the dark elf leader, Dak'ir stepped down from the position. Then she spent time sailing around Vailor with him, docking at the wood elf and dark elf cities from time to time. It was only a few years before Dak'ir took on the position of leader of the dark elves once again. A new city for the dark elves was built and named Ebonglade. It was in Ebonglade that Riv'su, an orphaned child, appeared. He immediately won over Lielle's heart, and it wasn't long before he was adopted as their son. Then came the time of Axios. Much to Lielle's amusement, since she met her husband in the other caves, the dark elves found themselves living in another cave. Ker'nor. The first few years after moving there, she gave birth to her and Dak'ir's first biological child. A daughter, Ele'ira. Currently, Lielle's still living in Ker'nor with Dak'ir and Ele'ira.
