"No, stay Jack," He whispers. "Meetings are good for the aspiring cleric."

"We are to find and retrieve two keys, in the form of gemstones. Then we are to use them to open up a portal into a new world so that we might cleanse it. These keys are found in the lightly explored mountains in the East; locating the resting place of these keys could be tenuous and dangerous. I need a squad to investigate this, much like I need one to rescue Hosper..."
-
"Oh yes, Naeri! Pleasure to see you again," he smiles. Then he glares at Jakir. "Jakir, I want a list of ALL of your apprentices by the end of this Elvish night, please. And please, please keep me notified in the future... I NEED TO KEEP MY RECORDS UP TO DATE." Mandru also nods at Isaac's comments. "I'll continue from here Isaac..."

The High Cleric Mandru arrives at the hill. "In fact, I shall vouch for this man," he says as he approaches, using his Elderwood staff as a walking stick. "For Tahariae has contacted me too... for the exact same reason," he grumbles. "I TRIED desperately to tell you yesterday, but noo. All of you think your High Cleric is crazy and senile. Well guess what, I'm only a thirdway through my life! In any case... Mister Haruki, please, tell those gathered of the appearance of Tahariae. If it is what I think it is, then there is no time to spare."

Mandru holds up a hand. "You speak wisely, yet do little, one who's name which I do not know; Yes, I must leave to ready my team." The High Cleric leaves the room, deeming that there's few others left to speak to in any case. -

Mandru nods slowly, still slightly suspicious of Rose. "Then we shall keep in contact; I agree to your terms of autonomy for this operation, but we will have to work together for this to succeed. Discipline and training will be required for this Endeavour to be successful. Report to thy order, Rose. We will accept however many holy warriors you can gather to accompany us on this misson." The High Cleric leans on his staff, forcing a small smile. "As for our War Clerics, I'm most certain that myself and three others at least will accompany me on this mission, perhaps four if I allow another non-combatant cleric to join us." -

"'The Holy Order of the Mongoose'..." Mandru scratches his beard slowly. "I have heard of no such order; however, the mongoose is a powerful animal, and I daresay that I've seen the sign of the mongoose once before, near the old city of Leanniel... Carved into a tree, yet broken at the same time. If you can help us, so be it. We would be quite grateful. You will have to work alongside our squad of elite clerics, however, and I plan to lead this operation once we discover the location of where Lord Forseti had been taken." -

Mandru's frown becomes even deeper. "It is my job to be 'personal'; one of our Holy Itharel just got kidnapped by dread knights. Forgive me for my bluntness, Miss Rose, but in times like these, it may be nessisary. What party do you represent? And, most importantly, can you or your party help us to rescue Lord Forseti?" -

"I see, Miss Rose." The old cleric looks the woman up and down. "You claim to be a holy warrior, and you posses what appears to be holy magic. Yet I do no think you are a member of our order, as I recall, though I may be wrong on this subject if today is any indication... Who is your patron?" -

The light summoned to Mandru's staff begins to disperse. "Aaaahhh... I see madam. I am the High Cleric Mandru VonSchlichten, manager off the clerical order under the Itharel." The aging man replies. "Yet you have not answered my question; who are you?" -

Mandru was on his way to exit as he notices the cloaked female. He narrows his eyes. "Who are you?" He asks the cloaked figure cautiously, his staff's gemstone beginning to glow with pure holy light out of suspicion. -

"Indeed Isaac. I shall organize a squad of my best war clerics. We go on a rescue mission in two elven days for now. Whoever wishes to join me, please report to me privately ((Skype PM or forum message))." -

Mandru's staff is lit with holy light, flames of pure white light encircling the headpiece. "Cease fire!" Mandru frowns deeply. "Dead knights..." He growls. "They have taken Hosper. Bad this is indeed..." He let's his staff rest on the floor. "Put everything aside; we MUST rescue Hosper Blackthorn before we do ANYTHING ELSE. Arm up clerics." The High Cleric ponders where they possibly could have gone... "Ivanus, do you know where they POSSIBLY could have gone?!" ((Sorry for the unformatted and undersized post. On mobile.)) -

"Spiderling?!" Mandru looks around, his expressing turning into a deep frown. His eyes narrow. "...no matter. In any case, few recruits are qualified for connections. Those who do make it often haven't the willpower to be taught either. In addition to this, I teach only students whom I see potential in. I have only ever had two successful apprentices, one of which is here today. Why? Because they were the most worthy and the most willing. And there are few of us left other than myself left qualified to teach and connect new clerics... Jakir, Hosper, Daniel... Lenia, if she's still out there. The point is, our numbers are low and always HAVE been low because there are so few teachers. And the few of these teachers who ARE around have IGNORED my policy of TELLING me about their apprentices before beginning lessons! Good greif, SEND ME A LETTER OR SOMETHING! I'm not dead! Three quarters of everyone here I've never even SPOKEN to before!" -

Mandru decides to clear his throat. "Can I help the order in these harsh times? Perhaps. I lead the council of light for years... I kept us together during the Setherien conflict. For 25 years, I have watched over this great order. But it's too much for any one man to handle... I need helpers, sergeants if the order is to indeed survive. I'm not as young as I once was... I have not the energy that many of you elves and younger men have. But who is fit to lead? And can the order even be saved right now? No no... Demolishon is a plausible option, but I wish to hear ALL of your opinions. And I am slow to consider demolition as well; for thousands of years this order has gone on, from Jacob and Rachel to the Itharel and yours truly. I believe this is what one might call a doldrums in our order's activities..." -

Mandru nods slowly. "I understand; and I assure you, I'm considering /all/ possible options. Even that one. There is nothing to be forgiven!" He chuckles. "I value the opinions of each and every one of you... even those of you whom wish to oust me." -

High Cleric Mandru listens to all. He frowns towards Jakir's apprentice, though he nods in thanks for his opinion. Lenia was missing... poor Mandru fears that he might have caused her insanity. She was, indeed, a faithful servant to Tahariae... and it was a shame what had befallen her. He hopes that he too will not fall so far... Mandru frowns ever so deeply at this former cleric's suggestion. "If we destroy this Order, we might as well surrender to the dark forces out there!" He points towards the door. "Only, if Tahariae himself willed such a thing, or his Holy Itharels voted for it, would I support such a radical act." -

Into the room bursts an aging human man. His hair is pure white, and his eyes the color of electric blue. The man's expression is that of a purely annoyed one. He wears a white robe, decorated with a golden medal and other ornaments of days past. "I know NOT who you are," He growls towards the one whom called the meeting. "And though I know this not, you claim to be a cleric. Curious..." The High Cleric Mandru VonSchlichten goes to lean against the wall next to Ivanus. "To all, I am the High Cleric Mandru, ordained by the Itharel to watch over the Order. Though... this has not been going well. I am here to provide my insight and my comments, and answer any questions any of you may have about the current state of the Order. However... the Itharel and, by extension, Tahariae himself are the final authority. I am, but their servant." Mandru awaits any questions. -

Love new maps SOOOOO much. However, it sucks when you get a "Wandering Spirit" message and have little access to commands. Full server slots also kinda ruins the hype. ;~;

The Prophecy Spreads
AndrewTech replied to Tsuyose's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
The High Cleric, and the last member of the Council of Light and Master Clerics, Mandru VonSchlichten, shivers from the vision he has received. The pain is unbearable; that and the mental pain he is faced with from the loss of his eldest son makes him put a hand to his forehead. His threshold for pain is great, his paranoia even greater than usual, and his morale at an all time low. "Best leave this to the Itharel unless they call for my help," He mutters to himself. "Nevertheless, they may yet need my help... I must find Hosper and inquire about what this vision means!" The old cleric considers leaving his manor behind the Teutonic Castle to seek out the Itharel Forseti... And he very well might, tired and grief stricken as he is... -
Herr Doctor Mandru VonSchlichten frowns. "I must speak with Fiaz as soon as possible it seems; he knows not what he deals with." Mandru's mind flashes back to the Old Island Republic of Gallmore... No no, Rivenca won't suffer the same fate. Not under his watch. He grabs his staff, hurrying to find and speak to the leader of this upstart City-State before anything disasterous happens, like a Warclaim or a series of raids...
