  1. A new set of sketched and drawn posters have been pinned up around Malinor, usually clustered on the message board or near Sentinel recruitment posters.
  2. Various sketched posters are pinned throughout Malinor, each with the seal of the Ministry of Information. They bolster the already abundant Sentinel recruitment posters.
  3. An elegantly written note is posted along with the other replies. It is stamped with the insignia of the Ministry of Information. All victims of the recent attacks, regardless of race, shall be greatly missed. More importantly, it is up to the citizens of Malinor, as well as the Sentinels, to work together and find whoever is behind these horrendous attacks. These terrorist and disgusting actions must be stopped. The goal of these attacks is to send a message - the message is one of dissonance, a split in the Unity of Malinor that we all depend on. It is up to us to say "NO", to not succumb to the thinking that the Mali'aheral are responsible. The only purpose for these grisly murders is one thing: To cause more Chaos. The question is, do we give the murderers what they want? Do we allow them to succeed, or do we stand strong, together, and weather through these harsh times?
  4. Throughout the docks, various posters, fliers, leaflets, and notes are pinned to trees, walls, or the message board. The insignia is of a new group, calling themselves the "Ministry of Information". A seal of approval is on the message board as well as some of the documents and papers - it is Council approved. ============ Written fliers are posted around the docks and message board, each with the same story on it. They contain a sketch of a building, as well as some writing in dark black ink. Title: Terrorists strike again! There was a recent event in the Mali'ker district, one many of you no doubt have heard of. During midday, the corpse of a half-breed of elf and an unknown race was burned. No blood was found at the scene, and it can be determined that the victim was killed elsewhere. A note was left, obviously to encourage dissent and aid the terrorists in their unlawful actions. The Sentinel on watch was Gladewatcher Elerel, who handled the situation with great skill and calmness, despite the chaotic conditions. He directed Initiate Glafandor to assist, and the body was taken away for a proper burial. Even more stirring was the bravery and quick reactions of the people of Malinor - their assistance proved vital to stopping the fires and preventing more destruction. Remember, however, that despite rumors, the Mali'aheral did not participate in conducting the arson, nor do they endorse such cruel and vile behavior. Cooperation between the races is vital for Elven Longevity, and for the prosperity of Malinor as a whole. Disregard these baseless rumors, and rest easy knowing the Sentinels, and the Council, are doing everything they can to bring the culprits to justice!
  5. Character Name Aislinn Aronokath Nicknames: Aislinn, Ais Age: 21 Gender: Male Race: Elf [Mali'aheral] Status: Alive Description Height: 6' 2" Weight: 175 Body Type: Somewhat thin, but muscular and toned. Eyes: Light Blue Hair: Naturally blond, but is usually dyed with charcoal and ink to a black color. Skin: Pale white Markings/Tattoos: None. Health: Healthy Personality: Having accomplished Justice for the first time in his adult life, and atoned for a wrong against him, Aislinn now has a chipper and upbeat attitude. He is brave, outgoing, and intelligent. He is also somewhat naive and foolish, and tends to get into problems that could have been avoided otherwise. Inventory: Aislinn carries a journal with him at all times. He has a small, strong rope used for binding or restraining people. His weapons consist of a sleek, well tempered short sword, and a somewhat long dagger. He prefers weapons that reflect his build, which involves quick and dexterous blades, and he also has 2 well balanced throwing knives. Further Details: None at the moment. Life Style Alignment*: True Neutral Deity*: Aeriel Religion: The Way (His own made up religion) Home: Malinor Job/Class: Unemployed Title(s): None Profession(s): None Special Skill(s): Aislinn's most valuable skill is that he is a quick learner. He has picked up on things like carving, basic medical treatment, tree hopping, and other minor things like that. Flaw(s): Is naive, foolish, and until he trains or works at something, he is not good at it. For example, he's only a mediocre swordsman. Trained Weapon: 2 throwing knives, a shortsword and long dagger. Favored Weapon: Shortsword and dagger. Archery: Biography Parents: Killed when he was young, his adopted father is Markin Aronokath. Siblings: None. Children: None. Extended Family: Still none.. Pet(s): A large, black Raven that was his father's. It is well trained, capable of carrying small objects and notes to anyone assigned to a name or letter. It also responds well to vocal commands. History A short version of his past begins when he was around 6. His family, his High elf mother and father, were travelling when they were attacked by a group of bandits, likely racist against High Elves. They were killed, but Markin saw and grabbed Aislinn, pulling him away and hiding him, which saved his life. He lived with Markin for another 6 or 7 years, before running away and living as a thief and beggar. Eventually he grew up, having not learned much of his race's culture and customs. Will probably add more later.
  6. Aislinn hides in the bushes, scrawling a new note, waiting until all are gone before nonchalantly posting it, walking off casually like nothing happened. "SENTRINALS ARE THE WORST FIGHTERS, NOLADRIM HAVE SHINY WEEPUNS AND ARMORS, WE SHALL CROOSH THE SENTRENILS! VICTORY!!" The writing is hastily written and sloppy, the grammar being even more horrendous than before.
  7. *A note is posted on the Malinor notice board and below a few fliers, written in black ink* "NOLADRIM RULE YES SO POWERFUL SENTEENUL SUCKS HA! TORTURE ALL DAY IS FUNN!" There is no signature, but the grammar appears to be off, and the spelling is sub par.
  8. Aislinn walks up to her, asking in a relaxed and cheerful voice - "Do you know when you are going to be available to make a portrait? I would like to purchase one."
  9. "Gunnerdude" - when his name is translated into various languages the results are 'god', 'lover of many women', 'supreme being', and 'one who has the resolve of a mountain'. This perfect specimen of a man has applied to become an 'Admn', Gunnerspeak for 'Merciless Administrator'. Lord of the Craft should not just be happy for his application, but honored that he would grace his presence on this forum. I predict an absolute victory, and Gunnerdude, if feeling generous, may share his divine wisdom and understanding to us all. I am Patriotic_fool, and I approve this message.

  14. Regarding the cobble breaking thing, yes there's a secret entrance, so if someone found it then we would be toast. I'm just saying from the fights that I got into/my friends got into - very little roleplay was done at all. It was a mob running up, shouting 'kill them', then pvp was initiated. If this is how it was intended then that's okay, but I figured there would be a tad more roleplay involved before swinging swords. As for solaba13, I /believe/ he escaped us earlier. He knew about the tower, but the secret entrance that broke through was more of a mineshaft. I literally have no idea how he found it from the outside besides using the name plates, because the tunnel was undisturbed until (he) broke into it. If he had stumbled upon it earlier, then I guess that would make sense, but I don't recall that happening. Like I said, all the towers have secret entrances of some sort. Their going to be taken over eventually, so I'm doing everything I can do protect them until a mass of White Roses levels it or something. I was hoping to make a base area where I could enjoy all the different VAs that are automatically unlocked, but when all you need to do is shout 'KILL DEM' then PvP, there's no time or way to do that..
  15. Regarding the badlands.. I've been at them since the new server areas opened, and I have a few things to say. I haven't died thus far, so I've seen everything :) Firstly, they're too nice. I think the land is great, there are plenty of trees and animals, and lots of lush, green grass. I was expecting a more 'orc' like land area. Additionally, I see little to no RP being done at all in the areas. PvP consists of armored men rushing and killing, maybe you get a shout or 'roar' if you're lucky. People are griefing into structures in the badlands without roleplay, not even bothering to put up signs. While I understand buildings are discouraged from being made.. there are 'villain' groups that will likely set up camps, forts, and such and prey on passerbys. It seems to be treated more as a PvP server area than a LotC area with PvP allowed. This disappoints me greatly. I also see lots of potential for the badlands, but I also see lots of cheap play. Digging straight into a mountainside to reach someone's name plate and kill them is not fair at all, nor is it fun. Oh well, that's my view on this area. I think the most fun occurs when you have small groups of 1-4 people meet each other. If it's a group of 10 fully armored orcs, then you know everyone within chasing distance is going to die. I think if we had done the compromise where everyone gets full VAs, that would have been the best course of action. While we may have all the VAs now while we are in the badlands, it's useless. How can I capture and enslave someone if it's instant-PvP, or how can I torture when we just instantly PvP. Very few camps or forts will be made, and those will only be made by the daring. I assume many 'bandit' or 'slaver' groups will continue work elsewhere, since the Badlands are anything but a roleplay area.
  16. *a note is posted below the Flay's* I thank you for the offer, but I am merely looking for minas. How much minas will you pay per ingot? I have almost 2 dozen.
  17. *Another note is posted below the newest note* 160 minas will due. Can we meet soon? ((I'm online, send me a bird asap))
