*There is a black dark bird flying through the air, a note in it's beak. It seemed to have been flying towards Kalos with it, but the note accidentally drops out of it's beak. You reach out to take it, curious, and you begin to open it.*
Church of the Libran Puritans
The Creed ((To Be Expanded Upon))
Be at peace, for Iblees is Aeriel, Aeriel is Iblees, and the Creator made them both. Both are the same, simply different perspectives. Seek balance in life, seek truth in death, and justice in the heart. Live life freely, live life as you will.
Goals
We seek Justice, Truth, and Liberty, and Balance.
We seek to end the discriminations of faith.
We seek to encourage faith, but leave it a choice.
We seek to unite the faiths, such that those who worship the Creator will no longer clash with those who worship Aeriel and/or Iblees, or vice versa.
The
Unknown Goals - We have goals not open to the public.
The Lore ((To be expanded upon))
The Church of the Libran Puritans in itself is not old, but the faith from which it stems is ancient, many of it's scrolls lost to time. It's central belief is that Aeriel is Iblees. Now almost an obscure cult, the Church rises from the ashes of the old, and seeks to promote faith through the liberty of choice, the unity of religions, and through the search of justice.
Rules (Will constantly revise, expand upon, and change rules, as they come under scrutiny)
1.To kill a member of the church outside of self-defense is forbidden.
2. Always attempt to work out a non-violent solution to a problem. (The killing of Undead are exempt from this rule)
3. Racism will NOT be tolerated. Treat the people with respect, regardless of race.
4. Religious discrimination is NOT to be tolerated. This includes the burning of "heretics."
5. Respect. Respect. Respect. Most important rule.
6. If you see Rose, or Inquisition members, do not engage them, with the exception of if they are in the midst of torturing another or burning a "heretic."
7. Do not kill without need or orders. Exceptions here, but most will not be known to the public.
8. Torture is a big NO NO. No second chances here, prolonging the unnecessary pain or death of a person is abhorrent, no matter who they are or what ends you mean to achieve.
9. We are a peace seeking order, so do NOT simply sacrifice a non-faith member. If you require a sacrifice, use an animal. Failing that, a cultist who agrees to be used as a sacrifice ((IC and OOC)). If you cannot find a cultist who is willing, then, and ONLY then can you use a non-faith member for sacrifice, but you must make announce yourself, and your intentions, first, and allow the citizen to make the first move.
Roles and Positions
Positions:
1. Church Member - Anyone can be this one. You've been baptised by the church, and are now an official member.
2. The Minister - The ministers help carry out various ceremonies. There are two here, the Ibleesan Minister, who handles the ceremonies that are seen as sinister, and that of the Aerielan Minister, who handles those of which are meant to be healing. No magic required, you handle the mundane preparations.
3. The Priest - This one needs to be skilled in the arts of Clerical magic or in Necromancy, depending if you are heading down an Aerielan or Ibleesan path, respectively. He handles the arcane, spiritual part of the ceremonies. He will perform the rare mass, as well.
4. The Shadespeaker - They speak to various spirits, including those of the divine, and those of the dead. They follow the Ibleesan path. They advise the Church with the magics of a Lutauman.
5. The Landhealer - They use Druidic magic in order to heal land ravaged by destruction, and to learn what happens all around the world through the knowledge of the trees and birds. They follow the Creator's path.
6. The Prayer - They use prayer to communicate with Aeriel, calling on his dreams to aid the Church. They advise the Aerielan path, and requires Farseer magic.
7. The Light - This is one of the four leaders, this one leads the followers of the Aerielan path, and meets with the Shadow and the Tree in order to choose the path that is best collectively. Is advised by the Prayers.
8. The Shadow - This is one of the four leaders, this one leads the Ibleesan path, and meets with Light and Tree constantly, looking for the path that will be best for all. Is advised by the Shadespeaker.
9. The
Tree - This is one of the four leaders, this one leads the Creator's path, and
meets with Shadow and Light to discuss the best way for all. Is advised by the Landhealers.
10. The Scales - This is the one who looks over the big picture, and makes the final decision on what the Church does. He does not lead nor follow a particular
path, and must be Tainted of Iblees, and Blessed of Aeriel. ((He needs to take on a secondary descendant's curse, but must have high morals.))

*At the bottom of the note, a letter is attached*
M-, I'd like to restart my faith as was originally intended when you found me. I do not want it to be as it was from whence I came, impure and corrupt. I'd like to restart it, unfettered by racism, religious discrimination, and war. It should
be unbiased and peace seeking, but should seek justice as well. I hope that this sits well with you. I am sorry if it does not.
