Not a question but just a comment I would like to say -- you are without a doubt one of the most kind people I have met on LOTC that always checks up on others. You are appreciated for all you do!

Constantine Malenos would sign the Lorianne Cross as the news would be brought to him. Malenos-Amadeus Tavern Agreement

In the year of our Lord 1871, 4 B.A. 17th of the Sun's Smile 

The Crooked Camel has been sold to the Amadeus family under the following agreement. 

ARTICLE I.

1. The Amadeus Company shall purchase the Crooked Camel Tavern for a lump payment that is undisclosed. 

2. All assets excluding personal drinks served by the Crooked Camel and Malenos Co shall remain the rightful property of the Malenos Co.

3. The tavern property lease shall be fully transferred to the Chief Executive of Amadeus Co, Alexios Amadeus within one saint week.((5/8/22-5/15/22))

4. The Malenos Co shall leave the tavern taxes paid for one additional saint week to ensure no evictions are levied against the Amadeus Co.

ARTICLE II.

1. Workers hired by the Crooked Camel Tavern shall remain employed by the new Amadeus Co Tavern.

2. Previous Management shall retain management role at the discretion and needs of the Amadeus Co.

3. Malenos Co ensures for three saint weeks they do not open a new tavern within the Grand Duchy of Balian. The Malenos company may however sell liquor and beverages within any other business venture outside of a tavern before such time limit. Fair business practices must be engaged by both companies during this time.

4. Within the basement of the ‘Crooked Camel’ lies the storage facility of Mister Malenos. The Amadeus Company shall grant usage of that permanently to the Malenos Company so they shall not have the burden of moving.

The Procurator’s Report

12th of Sigismiund's End, in the Year of our Lord, 2 Balian's Age.  

The Office of the Procurator has prepared the following report for the citizens of the Grand Duchy. 

Within the first two Saint’s days of property sales with Atrus, all homes, apartments, and business stalls have been sold completely. It is joyous to see all those who have already begun their new lives within the city but the question is left what will be done to address the requests for more housing. After carefully considering the demand, we have deemed it appropriate to conduct various construction projects to expand the housing market with the following additions to be created.

• The Second Tavern within the Hogius Circle shall be remodeled for additional housing for small-sized families. We expect this project to be completed within one Saint’s week.

• New homes will be created within the farming districts. We expect this project to be completed this Saint’s week.

• The Crooked Tavern has opened four housing units that are able to be rented by the Saint’s week or Saint’s month. They are available now if you would like to take a tour. 

As progress continues upon these projects the Office of the Procurator shall provide more details on the availability of the new homes. If you have already purchased your home or business please do keep in mind that the tax office is located to the left of the city entrance. The tax office will be opening within two Saint’s days for collections for the start of each Saint’s week. Lastly, we will be on looking to hire two citizens to the role of Steward within Atrus, if this is an opportunity that interests you please send a letter to begin the process. 

Constantine Malenos, Procurator of Balain

In the year of our Lord, 1869, the Malenos company was formed within the Grand Duchy of Balian. Within Atrus, the company has purchased the rights to the city tavern now named the Crooked Camel. If you are looking to find employment and earn a good wage, speak to Constantine Malenos, Thomas Oliver, or Victoria Anastasie. The grand opening of the Crooked Camel shall be held the following Saint’s day. If you wish to refresh yourself do come take a visit to eat a fine meal or drink ales from local or foreign regions. We shall look forward to serving you. 

The Malenos Company

Ledicort d'Azor would watch from the heavens as he remained disgusted with his heir and child. He would not whisper any prayers for him nor any of those whom wished the Empire ill will. 

A year has passed since the tragic events at the Saint Ari’s day Massacre. The Battle of New Providence was lost, Emperor Peter IV was dead, and tens of thousands of Orenians were displaced across the oceans as they looked towards God for comfort. Charles was but a simple commoner amongst the many. In his mind, the bravery of those who stood against the unjust actions of the Kingdom had battled against the scenes of bloodshed and death. Never again. Never again. Never again. He repeated it hundreds of times to himself. Never again do I wish to feel this way. 

Once they had arrived in the new lands led by the Star of Saint Lothar a small smile would break on his face. Around him, peers, commoners, clergy, soldiers, and others all stood together united by the promise John had given at the raised plateau. He had arrived in God’s Kingdom and had looked forward to nothing but the chance of holding a new life started afresh. 

The soldier before him asked as he looked to take entry into the newly restored city – “What is your name lad?” In his mind he had considered it for a moment, he wished to embrace a new start – he had little that would know of him in his previous years in the former Empire. He replied, “My name is Constantine Malenos.” The soldier would then grant him entry into the city as the youth would move to begin his new life. 

Constantine Malenos would smile as he entered into the walls of Ponterosa, the youth would be pleased to be able to start his life afresh amongst fellow liked minded friends and comrades. 

Peter Augustus would look to his friend moments before his mind would filled with memories of his childhood alongside his closest friend. "Floryan, run -- please leave!" He would scream with his might. Knowing his request was rejected, his heart was torn to pieces. Tears were all that was left for Peter to offer as he knew what was to come.

Peter IV would smile as affirmation of Empire continued. "Shall the legacy of our realm never be lost."

Peter IV would return to his chambers as an aid brought a missive that had reached the fortress. As his eyes took note of the words upon the parchment the Emperor soft softly, “We pray for George Galbraith whom was taken from his family too soon. His only mistake was to ask but a question to his liege, the pretender, during a barbaric court.” He would shift his head from left to right as he let a breath escape him. “Philip, your son has passed by the hands of another and you speak of payment for the loss gather than mourning your own kin. Is this the world in which my younger brother has created? To allow the Duke of Azor nearly be killed after your so called King had promised safety? We shall pray for your kin and wish he rests well in the Seven Skies.” 

In my experiences I believe this war has been very tame outside of some Instances here and there. As long as we look towards keeping IC and OOC separate it should lead to both enjoyable roleplay as well as unique experiences. It’s not often you see the largest nation on the server break into factions for control. That being said, my discord is open for anyone to reach out if you are feeling this way. 

Peter IV would stand firm as looked toward his advisors, “Our ally has committed once more. Praise be to the Empire, and glory to God!”

Surrounded by his fellow countrymen and comrades he raised his blade at the abbey! He screamed, "We stand together against anyone whom wishes harm against our own and our lands! To the men and women of Arichsdorf, of Blackvale, of the Imperial Legion, and but of course the common Orenian that shall not let our nation see harm! Long love the Empire and the Crown! All glory to God!" He would move into the place of prayer afterwards as he went to offer his prayers. 

The Prince of Providence would strip off the rest of his bandages from his chest and the right side of his face as would move to take his blade to hand. "I am of proper body once again -- We allowed for peace and now that they refuse it we shall be prepared to take the fields once more!"

"A well founded treaty, I should like to take visit to see the beauty of the Silver State myself and meet the Sohaer." The Prince of Providence would remark as he looked over the parchment before his desk. 

Considerations of Life

8th of the Sun's Smile, In the Year of our Lord 1864

War. Conflict. Growth. Twenty-two years of life have been granted by God to myself and such time has learned a healthy standard for the term. At a young age since I was placed back to my parent’s side at their ascension to the throne to the youthful years joining the forces of Oren at the frontlines – experience that shall forever shape the man I am and will continue to become.

War has taught me that life is precious. That you should tell your loved ones that you care for them, you should spend time with those whom you’d regret if you had not, and that you should above all live life with no regrets. As the people of Oren continue to work together for a future in which we may all be pleased for the next generation, we do hold trials that we shall have to overcome. 

Two Saint’s days ago at the Imperial Court when I had stood by my mother’s side.  Moments after an assassin had attempted to end my life upon the dias, I was hit with a substance that had blown the right portion of my chest and face. By God’s good grace and the doctors within the Palace I was able to make a recovery that shall take several more years. In the time in which I laid down to rest, I had seen my Uncle, many friends, and, above all, my mother. I had taken the realization that my bonds with my loved ones shall always need to hold such consideration as I spoke earlier of.

I write today for two things to be known. First, that I am alive and shall be well, for that I thank God and the countrymen that stood by my side during the events. Second, I implore us all to take a moment to reflect upon where they are in life. Speak to your neighbor, speak to your friend, and speak to your loved ones.

The Resettlement of Lower Petra

For decades Lower Petra has been engulfed in endless conflict that has razed her fields, burnt homes, and plundered the natural and physical wealth of the land. Despite this challenge, the Duke of Petra and Imperial Vicar of the Petra Circle, His Imperial Highness, Prince Peter Augustus has embarked to overcome the adversity and reestablish a thriving community south of New Providence.

Encharged by Their Imperial Majesties with the rejuvenation and restoration of the liberated land, the Prince seeks all those willing to live and work in the region. There is plenty of land that needs tilled, houses that need constructed, and communities that need formed.

The Next Generation

A memoir of the next generation of Orenians, Prince of Providence

For many decades since the times of Emperor Peter III, each generation has grown into pillars that our Empire has stood tall upon and shall continue to do so. 

In the past fifteen years the youth of the realm have taken the challenges we are faced by the scruff of the neck to answer those who would wish us great harm. We were born as if any other, but were tasked by the hands of fate to answer the call that was placed to us. And with any measure we have answered the call that was given. 

Our generation, those Orenians in our youth and early in our lives have seen family, friends, and neighbors take upon the defense of our lands and values. It is expected for a child from their parents to learn, to aid, and to contribute to the family and the land. And by God have the youth taken these words to heart. Efforts are applied to each front equally in times of war – to the supply chain of our Empire that equips our bravest, to the creation of art and luxurious items to be able to better our capability, and but of course to raise blade against any that would wish the death of our own. 

Thousands of our age have entered into industry to aid the efforts. From the creation of weaponry, to those who have tollied the fields and pastures, to those who created business to aid in the acquiring of various goods – We have answered the call when requested. One would look to shining examples of our generation such as Lady Sophie Pruvia ( @ncarr) and Lord Lucien Vuiller ( @HeyitsNano)  The efforts of those two as well as countless others have created and acquired enough arms and provisions to prepare many legions of brave men and women. 

Culture, arts, and fine luxurious goods are always in demand. The entirety of the realm has looked for such goods at the highest rates within decades. The youth have within a short frame of time learned what would take a lifetime while holding the same standard of quality that would be expected. Her Imperial Highness, Princess Catherine ( @AndrewTech) has held various auctions for her art that has brought hundreds to bid for the chance of ownership. Work so sought after the funds donated shocked the eyes of many. Lady Analiese d’Azor ( @PrincessSnowie) has created jewelry fit for royalty, gemstones cut with such luster and form that others could not compare, and items of such value that they are sought after with great desire. Hundreds of our own in their late teens and early twenties have answered the call – and aided in our efforts with such kind contributions.

And of course, battle. We were present at Southbridge. We were present at Destiny’s Tavern. We were present at New Providence, Karosgrad, Haverlock and countless other battles. The list of new Imperial State Soldiers is flooded with our generation that is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Free Companies, vassal state forces, amongst all other groups – we have stood amongst our seniors. Our voices are heard upon the fields of battle and they are heard to the defense of what we hold nearest to our hearts. 

Our generation has embraced the Orenian way. We hope the words, “One God, One Empire, One Emperor” within our hearts. We take our words and turn them into action. I believe that our generation is turning into an example of one that shall be told in the storybooks for many decades to come. May all of our youth find such courage and capability to arise to any challenge that God places before us.  Shall we continue to live our lives for our realm and our own. God bless and protect our realm.
