  1. Can someone explain mines to me please? Do ores spawn at their normal y coordinate ranges?

      The way it works is that once you enter the mining world, it's like if you were to just go mining in Single-player. The ores will spawn on their levels, Ex, diamond is only found really far down, iron found closer, coal found almost at the top, etc, etc. It's pretty much used to prevent people from creating giant mines and world scaring the entire map. By using the mining worlds, we prevent griefing and such in the actual LOTC world!
