Orcs warclaim someone, OOC screeching ensues.
I would like to finally see a faction or group attempt to negotiate with the orcs, offer them terms or to even interact with them instead of either hiding during the raids & trying to get their warclaims denied. Negotiate IC, not OOC.
-
As someone who played an Orc and was the head of Diplomacy for the Orcs, this Warclaim and the RP associated was a joke and completely OOC motivated. I'm normally one of those people that complains and screeches about bringing in OOC to dodge IC conflict, but context is important to this situation mate.

Guard forces that leverage their OOC numbers and call PvP default to circumvent valid RP situations are perpetuating the problem of PvP goons.
-
@Raomir @Hero_Prodigy Neither of you are understanding the point. IC, there would have been no way for them to save the person they wanted to without cooperating. Instead, they're allowed to call "PvP Default" and completely circumvent all Roleplay up to that point. If the hostage was killed and they retaliated by killed me, the person being held hostage would have been killed as well as the attacker. And I wasn't even participating in the Roleplay, I was watching. Still made it very ****. It's akin to someone going through the trouble of putting themselves in the perfect position through weeks of OOC time Roleplay so that when the king opens the door and is met with an assassin holding a crossbow, he just calls PvP default and manages to weasel his way out of the situation. I enjoy PvP just as much as anyone else, I've been PvPing this entire time I've been guideline struck. Doesn't change the fact that we're on a Roleplay server and people using PvP to get out of a Roleplay situation is scummy.

The context behind my statement would make it seem far more reasonable. While I agree that when combat begins to involve more than a small party of people, PvP SHOULD be called, the problem is when PvP is used to circumvent actual RP barriers, like a hostage being held for leverage. IDC how many dudes you have, if the person they want to save is being held with a knife to their neck, there is no reason why they should be able to circumvent that with PvP. Hope that's more illuminating.

Offically, I'll accept the next three people that post an FM application.

@dogbewSince you wanted to lock my previous status updates, I decided to help you with your job a little. Every single one of these posts can be categorized as "criticism", and if they were allowed to stand there is no reason why my comment shouldn't. The blatant targeting is getting to ridiculous levels at this point. This needs to be constructive? Stop arbitrarily hiding posts and treating some people different from others. How's that for constructive?
-
That's the thing, I'm 100% sure no one complained about my post. You still decided to hide it though.
"Posts like his are removed because toxic comments like that degrade our discussion and serve no purpose other than to divide the community
Except Admin and GM incompetence is one of the only things that the server can agree upon? And you can say that about any criticism that people dont ageee with, of course the community is going to be divided. If we don't let people express their opinions that's how we go back to the days of corrupt staff where it was a community versus them mentality. FMs hiding posts based on something as subjective as "useful" is so horseshit. I didn't insult anyone and the guideline about criticism being constructive is selectively enforced, this is blatant targeting whether it was conscious or not.
Edit: @Raomir It's the principle behind it mate. Sure it's just a status update. Just wait until your posts on threads which are 100% valid and criticism are hidden. News flash, it's already happening. I have screenshots to prove it.

@Raomir This was my exact post or something essentially like it.
"It seems that the GM and Administration Teams are picked for how poor of a job they can do."
I don't know how I can get any less impersonal. I didn't mention a single name and I've seen countless other people make comments akin to mine. All good, I'll be making a feedback post regarding the current state of the FM team and addressing Dogbews post. It'll be constructive as **** too, I promise.

The issue isn't with content breaking the rules, and you know that. The issue is, is that FM's can choose when to apply these rules and when not too. My comment was, and I quote,
"It seems that the GM and Administration Teams are picked for how poor of a job they can do."
Or something along those lines. Where is the toxicity? I'm expressing my discontent with the job they're doing? I didn't name a single name or directly target someone.
"Is it a joke that after 50 minutes the FM's haven't approved my thread?"
That comment is literally along the same lines as what I posted. You responded to it and didn't hide a damned thing. I'm not going to report content that should be on the forums because you have a vendetta against me and actively censor my content. I have screenshots of you saying one thing about a post you hid and another member of the staff saying something completely different.

I'm in love with an angel.

MFW Lore Team member would rather hide your 100% relevant comments to the thread versus answering them like a logical adult. Sums up the problem with the server and the staff teams fairly nicely.

Big sad, FM was fun while it lasted.

@EternalSaturn I had been previously warned for my conduct before this event, and apparently I'd violated several community guidelines. Regardless, I personally disagree, but it is what it is. There are other things but they should remain private.
