  1. [!] The Pharaoh Atemu-Ta took a cloth and polished the bloodied mace, after having delivered a decisive blow to the skull of the uruk. "Hesthor's judgment was delivered upon Al'Borok of the Isfetian Akaals. May the force of her purging strike resonate in the minds of all Isfetians, so they too may know their fate rests at the bottom of the Great River." Atemu then looks towards a portrait upon the wall which his sister depicts Meret-Pa, the Ra'tuhmet's fallen Daughter of Fire, driven to suicide by the fallen Borok. "Sister.." He said, staring stoically towards the portrait, "you have been avenged. Rest easy." The Pharaoh then took the head of the fallen Akaal and placed it in the temple of Hesthor, beginning to plan on how to celebrate this occasion of purification.

  10. The book of the Gods by Pharaoh Atemu-Ta The religion of Ka’tau, sometimes called ancient Rah’mun religion or more formally kemetism, is centered upon the premise of the divinity of the universal law. All Rah’muns who adhere to Ka’tau believe that ‘Ka’tau’ are principles of the universe which govern everything and ensures harmony, order, and justice reign throughout civilization. When this law is opposed, Isfet [chaos] is empowered and the world is plunged into darkness. In the view of the kemetic faith, Isfet manifests in the forms of the traditional enemies of the Gods such as Azdrazi, the aengudaemonica, vampires, necromancers, undead, and other soul-tainted entities who run afoul Creation’s immaculate order. It also manifests in the form of Keop, who seeks to plunge the world into sheer darkness in defiance of the Ra’tuhmet’s will. Followers of the Rah’mun faith worship an innumerable amount of Gods to show their devotion to the principles of Ka’tau. They also believe the Pharaoh is the chief enforcer and voice of this law. If Pharaoh succeeds in his duties as a leader of the Rah’mun people and grand priest of the religion, the world will be in a state of harmony and justice shall reign. If he fells, Isfet will overtake him and his people, and all will be lost. The sheer number of Gods that have developed in the history of Rah’mun civilization is not fully known. Worship of certain Gods was rather prominent in cities throughout the old Rah’mu empire. Some cities were devoted solely to one or two Gods; others worshiped hundreds and set forth an equally grand number of shrines to honor them. The current number of Gods is also relatively unknown - though Rah’mun scribes estimate that there are around 1,000 known Gods and Goddesses, with a much smaller portion of those being worshiped and empowered in everyday life. Below are a directory of a sliver of these Gods that a Rah’mun or follower of Ka’tau might devote themselves to in course of worship. Note - in some cultures Rah’mun Gods are called ‘spirits’, though to worshipers of the faith they are seen as fully-fledged deities in their own right. The Ra’tuhmet (lesser of Aztran) - God of eternal sunlight. He is believed to have created the world by bringing Light into existence under the authority of Ka’tau, and then giving physical form to his Light in the shape of existence. His earliest form was a curved Flaming Eye, though his best known form is as a falcon-headed being with the body of a human man. His priests often wear emblems of the Sun or a curved eye to represent their devotion to his domain. The Ra’tuhmet’s followers often call upon the “Eye of Ra,” a sun-disc entity shaped which also appears as an eye which functions as an extension of his power, to punish Isfetians or those who oppose the Pharaoh. This eye has many aspects, including a life-giving quality which honors Ra’s original act of Creation. This quality is often praised immensely in temple rituals throughout Rah’tuma. But it’s fearsome violent aspect is most often invoked by priests of Ra to defend the Pharaoh, Rah’tuma, sacred places, households or to punish the wicked, with devastating results for the afflicted. “Rah’tuma” and “Rah’mun” are both modeled after the Ra’tuhmet’s name, demonstrating his strong influence over Rah’mun culture and his importance within Ka’tau religion. Hesthor (lesser of Scorthuz) - Goddess of pure waters and bovine purging. This bovine Goddess is known by many honirifics and names, such as the Purifier, the Cow Mother, the Queen of the Great River, polisher of souls, and so forth. She originated from a blue light which emerged after the Ra’tuhmet finished crafting the world. Whereas the Ra’tuhmet brought light and form to Creation, Hesthor’s waters polish it to preserve its pure condition. Her priests take the task of preservation seriously and maintain a prominent role in Rah’mun culture for this reason. All Rah’muns culturally value purity and often drink from Hesthor’s blessed waters. Rah’muns wash their homes and clothes with her waters, too, in some cities. Hesthor is known to purify oases, rivers, and all water sources and the environments around them. Hesthor’s power also disrupts Isfetian magicks and cleanse the body and the soul of spiritual afflictions. She is also known as the originator of the Great River which is a spiritual river that begins in Hesthor’s throne room in the heavens and travels throughout the heavens until it reaches the material world. It is this river that is called upon when Hesthor’s power is invoked. Hesthor is often invoked by average Rah’muns and her netjer (priests) to cleanse soul afflictions borne of dark or aengudaemonic magicks, or to destroy practitioners of those arts completely. Ramazet (lesser beneath Scorthuz/Hesthor)- Ramazet, also known as the Lord of the Pure Path, is a lesser deity who serves in Hesthor’s domains. His primary function is to guide the winding pathway of Hesthor’s Great River throughout the heavens and into the material world when it is invoked through Heka by Hesthor’s priests and followers. He also acts as a ferryman to all souls who visit Hesthor’s domain and seek passageway to her Grand City where she resides. There is not a cult or priesthood dedicated to Ramazet and most Rah’muns only pay him basic respects, though Hesthorians tend to recognize him as an instrumental yet minor part of the workings of purity. Kalthet (lesser of Vulka) - The slayer Isfet, Lady of Strategy, Mistress of war, She Who Overcomes All, The Queen of Divine Wit. This lioness-headed goddess is the primary deity called upon by Rah’mun fighters when they enter a battle or war. The lioness goddess reflects the Rah’mun cultural emphasis on the power of the mind over brute force or primality. Rah’mun warriors primarily fight in a tactical manner, seeking to exploit the disadvantages of their enemy rather than overpower them through sheer will. It is for this reason that many Rah’mun warriors incorporate a variety of fighting methods in their combat - potions, dyes, solutions, a variety of handheld weapons, and so forth. Kalthet is said to have come into existence after Hesthor as the third and final original God birthed during the Creation event. Her priests are often warriors and worship her by creating weapons, training, and drawing up battle plans in the presence of her shrines. Ka’tau (lesser of Velkhumzet) Truth. The Lady of Judgmet, She Who Holds Fate’s Feather, The Supreme Law, The Unifier Of All Things. Ka’tau is the personification of the central principle of Rah’mun religion by which all of the Gods and their priesthoods are bound. Ka’tau, as a principle, is believed to govern all of Creation with a set of divine tenets that ensure life remains orderly, harmonious, and just. As such, it is also considered to be the ultimate standard and embodiment of “truth.” She appears as a woman bearing two multicolored wings, holding an ankh cross in one hand and a spectre in the other. She is known for her role in the afterlife in the Hall of Judgment where she sets her feather upon a set of scales to assess the life of soul brought to her by Naseret. If the scale is favorable, the soul is allowed continued passage into the underworld. If it is not favorable, Ka’tau orders the complete annihilation of the soul in every respect from existence. Netjer (priests) of Ka’tau are rare due to her ubiquitous presence throughout Rah’mun civilization, but they do exist. These priests act as enforcerers of the divine law in their cities and often wield Heka to bring forth quick judgment against the most egregious Isfetians who have not yet died. Ka’tau is considered the mother of all the Gods and is often seen favorably by many of them. Tetu (lesser of Dazkur) The Roaring Pride of Ka’tau, Isfet’s Bane, Protector of the City, King of Sphinx. The Will of Ra. The Enforcerer of Ka’tau. Tetu is the Sphinx-God husband of Kalthet who is known for defending Rah’mun civilization from all threats with a special emphasis on supernatural foes. His body takes the form of a winged lion, he bears the head of a human and features of various other animals across his constitution. Rah’mun lore says Tetu was given a mandate by the Ra’tuhmet and Lady Ka’tau herself to claim dominion over all supernatural Isfetian forces, such as Inferi, and subdue them should they pose a direct set to Rah’mun life. For this reason Tetu is seen as the ‘Master’ of Isfetian entities in the sense that he can easily overcome them and their power. Prayers and rituals to Tetu often involve requests for protection against bad dreams, demons, and even enemy invading forces. Offerings to Tetu include bread, food, and incense. His netjer are often a mixture between traditional priests with a warrior aesthetic. Lord Oti (lesser of Luara)- The Lord of Eternal Moonlight. The Defender. The clarifier. The Pathfinder in the Dark. Beacon of Truth Amid Night. Lord Oti is the counterpart to the Ra’tuhmet whose domain resides in the moon. Night time is as important as day in Rah’mun lore, as night represents a period of rejuvenation, reflection, and wisdom. Oti is often called upon by his priests to dispel the darkness and evil that arises during night time. He also is seen as a clarifying force who can make even the most mysterious matters clearer in some way. Oti is also responsible for marking the passage of time and helping create new life. Khonsu’s association with dispelling darkness leads his priests to invoke him to drive away evil spirits, wild animals, illnesses, and injuries upon the mind. Ahura-ma (lesser of Ubulhar) Goddess of Freedom. The Great Liberator. The Winged Goddess of Liberty. Ahura manifests as a human woman donning sparkling blue robes, with two brilliant multicolored wings sprouting from her back. Her followers oftentimes wear helmets with miniature wings protruding and spears with similar designs. Ahura-Ma is one of the relatively ‘newer’ Goddesses in the canon of Rah’mun lore. She rose to power in the Rah’mun consciousness when the Old Empire abolished slavery and indentured servitude and put a strong emphasis on personal freedom’s role with fulfilling the goals of Ka’tau. Ahura-Ma’s priesthood are known to lead groups of warriors to free slaves and destroy slave camps, supernaturally and otherwise. She is considered to be one of Hesthor’s many “sisters,” though the two often have disputes given their different philosophies. Te’uth (lesser of Theruz) - Lord of Knowledge. The Eternal Scribe; He who Records All; Master of Heka and Learning. Te’uth is the God of Heka (Rah’mun magic), divine writing, and specialized studies. He is also known as the husband of Ka’tau, and holds the source of order, truth, justice, and Creation in a book that rests upon his left hand. This ibis-headed God is believed to have invented every subject from writing, pure magics (Heka), books, sailing, the alchemical sciences, architecture, weaponry, medicine, surveying, reading, government, and so forth. Rah’mun scribes claim that Te’uth is the author of every branch of knowledge known, human or divine. In Rah’mun mythos he acts as a recorder for the deeds and tales of the Gods. He is often depicted being present in the Hall of Judgment when the soul is evaluated by Lady Ka’tau, recording the results of her judgment for posterity. All pieces of “forbidden knowledge” or learning that is undertaken to spread Isfet are alien to Te’uth and are viewed as corruptions of his original design. As such, Te’uth’s priesthood are natural enemies of practitioners of Isfetian arts like Necromancy, Inferi, blood magic, twisted alchemy, eldritch arts, and so on. Te’uth’s priests use his Heka to strike the minds of those who study the dark arts, like Nazterak or Necromancers, to stymie the spread of their corruption of knowledge and prevent them from using their powers effectively. Amaunet (lesser of Akezo) - The Keeper of the Waters of Ka. The Life-Giver. The Lady of Revitalization. Amaunet is heralded by the medics of Rah’mun civilization as a mighty healer goddess. Her Heka is known to remedy even the most debilitating of injuries and it has even saved the afflicted from the brink of death. Amaunet appears as a woman wearing a long headdress made of reeds and feathers. She sometimes carries a spectre donning an ankh and a vial of healing waters, representing her authority over the gift of life. It is believed that prayers to Amanuet has allowed the Pharaoh to live incredibly long and healthy lives free of disease. Amaunet, as the life-giver, also has a furious wrath against Isfetians who sicken the body with their arts. As such, priests of Amaunet have been known to strike down Isfetians with horrific conditions, such as blindness, extreme delusions, and debilitating sicknesses. She is also believed to be a sister of Hesthor. Ke’tuh (lesser of Urin) Lady of the rains. Giver of the rains of Ka. Shepherd of cooling winds. In Rah’mun lore weather patterns are essential to ensuring the survival of the Rah’mun people who often dwell in deserts. Rain and cooling winds are two essential forces which made desert-living more hospitable, and Ke’tuh’s domain encompasses both. The lioness-headed goddess wields a staff which has a collection of shifting waters atop it that when poured forth creates rainstorms in the material world. Ke’tuh’s rains drive away droughts and extreme heat, and also drown the enemies of Pharaoh and the Gods with overwhelming force and unrelenting deluges. Priests of Ke’tuh are often known for invoking mighty rainstorms to replenish dried crops and drive away invading armies. Pharaoh’s relationship with this Goddess is essential for the survival of his people. Teka-ta (lesser of Freygoth) Teka-ta and his consort Nahiti-te are both minor deities who appear as humanoid mice, one male and the other female, donning headdresses and ankh staves. These two deities are believed to have created the race known as “Musin” and their predecessors the ratiki, which are both collectively referred to as the Ret-tuh’s by Rah’mun scribes. Teka-ta and his consort do not have strong priesthoods in Rah’mun civilization. Both of them are believed to be far too weak to warrant direct worship, but they are seen as guides for the most vulnerable and diminutive creatures in nature. Keb (lesser of Bregthar)- King of Quaking Earth. Lord of the Rocks. He Who Shifts the Land. King of Mountains. Keb is the Rah’mun God of the Earth. He is credited with promoting crop growth and it is said that his mere laughter and movements cause earthquakes. Rah’muns often pray to Keb for the Earth’s natural patterns to remain stable and ordered in accordance with the law of Ka’tau. As such, Keb is called upon to disrupt Isfetian disturbances to the Earth’s natural cycles; his priesthood is often the bane of blood magicians and their attempt to tamper with the world. Keb is also said to be the father of Order and serenity. He appears as a human man with rocks and gems covering his arms, with a goose upon his head, or as a human man with the head of a goose or a snake. He is often depicted wielding a jackal-headed stave which can shift the ground to imprison the unworthy. He is the grandfather of Ra and a consort to Ka’tau. Nesahor (Lesser of kor) - The Lord of the Dead. The Ferryman of Souls. Preserver of mummies. Nesahor is one of the most important deities in Rah’mun lore due to his significance in funerary practices. Nesahor lords over funerary rites, graves and resting places of the dead, and the process of mummification that all Rah’mun who die undergo. He appears as a man with the head of a canine or a jackal. In Rah’mun lore, upon death all souls will meet Nesahor at the gateway of the underworld and he will shepherd them through the realm until they reach the Hall of Judgment. Once at the Hall of Judgment, Nesahor brings the soul before Ka’tau’s scales for judgment to decide if they will enter the realm of the dead. Nesahor is sometimes known to withhold certain souls from the Hall of Judgment and annihilate them on his own accord, a behavior within his right as caretaker of dead souls. He has only done this in the case of some Isfetians or people who were extremely evil while they lived. His priests are known to guard tomb sites, graves, pyramids, and other areas where the dead reside. They also carry out all funerary rites in Rah’mun civilization. Nesahor’s Netjer are especially opposed to Isfetian Undead and Necromancers who steal souls from Nesahor’s care. They are known to hunt all variety of undead, especially Liches and poltergeists, to bring them into Nesahor’s measure as Ka’tau intends. Kambatet (lesser of kor) Lord of the Underworld. King of Souls Passed. He who presides over the scaled judgment. Kambatet is the second entity within the Rah’mun lore associated with death and dying. He is related to Nesahor, the jackal-headed God of the Dead, who ferrys souls to Osiris’s throne where the Scales of Ka’tau are located. Kambatet, along with forty-two other lesser deities, preside over the Weighing of the Heart judgment that all dead undergo. Should one be seen favorable by the scales of Ka’tau, they will be permitted entry into Kambatet’s domain. Should Kambatet himself deem a soul unfit to enter his domain due to an offense against Ka’tau, he may single-handedly override a judgment of the forty-two other lesser deities. He is considered a primary deity of the underworld and judgment. Kambatet is also seen as a God of resurrection. Rah’mun lore states that when Kambatet was upon the mortal world he was slain by an Isfetian force. Te’uth found his body located near the oasis and managed to revive him through his Heka. Te’uth set piles of hay upon Kambatet’s body and placed a few divine seeds over his chest. After three moon and sun cycles, Kambatet rose from the dead and then claimed the throne of the underworld, symbolizing resurrection and the power of life over death. 11. [!] A Rah'mun Pharaoh in a distant land gazes upon a missive given to him by one of his servants. As his golden gaze swept across the paper, a slight smile manifests upon his lips. Atemu places the missive down and casts his gaze towards the gleaming temple of Hesthor, arguably the strongest source of Purity in all of the lands. "Finally." he muttered. He then rose from his seat and walked towards the temple, gathering Hesthor's shamans to prepare for divine purgation.

Hi. We’ve been trying to reach you about your loans extended warranty.

  13. Pharaoh Atemu-Ta standing victoriously over a fallen Azulyte [!] The following missive is sent across Aevos, bearing the state insignia of the City of Rah’tuma upon it’s cover. When opened the missive reveals a sketched depiction of Atmeu-Ta standing victoriously over a Kerr Azulyte and crushing it’s chest with his Pharonic staff. The following is then seen. To the Isfetians who bear the name ‘Azulyte’ and their foul allies. The people of Rah’tuma are victorious. I, Pharaoh Atemu-Ta, have trampled over the serpentine head of Isfet that used you to strike at my city and harm my people. You sent a detachment of men to raid Rah’tuma and terrorize our people. You kidnapped one of our people, the priestess of Freedom Karuna, and you ran at the sight of myself and other Rah’muns coming to face you. Then, in true Isfetian fashion, you sent a missive demanding that we forsake our Gods and offer a payment to receive Karuna alive once more. I did not relent to your posturing. I fought you right outside of your fortress and, along with my men, crushed the heads of your finest warriors. You made a grave mistake attacking Rah’tuma and presuming my people would surrender as shrieking violets. You serve a lower order - Isfet, chaos - which has been defeated by past Rah’mun heroes and Pharaohs, and shall also be defeated under my reign. Narithen, champion of Ahura-ma, called forth the power of his patron to render your shackles useless. A high priest of Hesthor drowned the soul of one of your best warriors in the Great River after my Khopesh severed her hand from bone and let it squalor. The High Priest of Hesthor drowning the captured Azulyte in Pure Waters The hand that strikes Pharaoh shall never hit anything again. I am the wrath, sword, and fury of the Gods. I am the enforcer of the law of Ka’tau, which judges Isfet throughout all time, and renders it defeated. I am the horn of Hesthor, purging the impure with her raptorous waters. I am the rays of the Ra’tuhmet, eviscerating the souls of the wicked with his woeful Eye whose wrath neither Khet (physical body) or Sah (spiritual body) can escape. I am the defender of my people and the heir to Naseret, who overcame Iblees himself with the authority of Hesthor. My message is clear: your reckoning will come. The wrath your soldiers have experienced so far is simply a sign of what awaits you. Attempting to attack Rah’tuma, Norasath, The Kha, or any other spiritualist culture will only hasten your arrival in the Halls of Judgment before Lady Ka’tau. Any plots to ‘enslave’ our Gods, as your latest missive suggests, will result in nothing more than your complete annihilation. The Great River will rush towards your fort - which we have located - and every hidden outpost you own and it shall overtake them. Your magicks will fail, your weapons will wilt, and your minds will break beneath the pure hooves of Hesthor’s herd. No matter what you do or what foul work of Isfetian sorcery you send to our people, you will not escape your fate. Your men will be sought out, snuffed out, and defeated. ‘Retribution’ does not begin to describe what awaits you. Prepare yourself. You have unleashed a force known only to your Masters in the days of Naseret, which washed away their Infernal mark from the world. This shall be your fate. Pharaoh Atemu-Ta Pharaoh of Rah’tuma Voice of Ka’tau Jahtep-Ra Vizier to the Pharaoh High Priest of Hesthor Azulytes drowned in pure waters by Hesthor priests.
  14. "There will be no negotiations," Pharaoh Atemu-Ta said as he polishes his Khopesh, preparing for the incoming battle, "only wrath for those who defile Ka'tau."
  15. A prophetic depiction of the coming battle between Rah'muns and Azdrazi [!] The following missive is sent throughout the lands of Aevos by diligent Rah’mun couriers. The missive bears the seal of Rah’tuma and a small hieroglyph which resembles a cowhead. When opened the missive states the following. Leh-iy to all. I am Pharaoh Atemu-Ta of Rah’tuma, the city of Ka’tau which sits right outside of Nor’velyth. Our city recently came under attack by the well-known Isfetian the An-Gho and presumably his draconic agents. While my people slumbered peacefully, the draconic Isfetians known as the ‘Azdrazi’ slipped into Rah’tuma and attacked several of our worship sites. They vandalized the Temple of Hesthor whose waters now run strong and have purified several innocent souls afflicted by Isfet. They also defaced the Temple of the Sun, where the Ra’tuhmet sits and reminds us of his role as Source of all and the bringer of clarity into the darkest situations. The draconic Isfetians left messages, one which demanded that we “show them our God” and the other which claimed that Hesthor’s waters shall run dry and that my people hold on to ‘weakness’. These are profane, detestable actions that I would expect impure dragons to undertake, but to do so in such a cowardly fashion is the height of dishonor. And I, as leader of the Rah’mun peoples, will not stand for it. The Gods will not permit such brazen dishonor, and neither will the people and allies of Rah’tum. To the An-Gho and his worms: Face us. Return to Rah’tuma when there is resistance to be met, and face down my people gloriously. Do not fight under the veil of secrecy and cowardice - show your intentions as boldly as you have against our temples. The waters of Hesthor shall drown you, and the currents of the Great River will sweep you away. Your scales shall be torn from your back by the rushing currents of purity, and the remnants of your bodies shall roast in the Ra’tuhmet’s true Light. There will be no mercy or quarter given, for you have unleashed a force that cannot contain or handle. Tetu the Sphinx shall batter you with his claws and tear your forms asunder. Your defeat at my hands will be known as the moment when Azdromoth's Isfetian power began to weaken and eventually shatter within the world, replaced only by the tenents of Mighty Ka'tau. You have provoked the hand of Lady Ka’tau herself, which shall sweep you neatly into the Halls of Judgment. The day of your trial shall not be favorable to you. May the priests of the Pure Path deliver you to your ultimate fate in the Great River. You shall come, and my people will be ready for you. Stand accountable for your crimes against Ka’tau so that all may know you for the criminals that you are. I shall be waiting. Sincerely Atemu-Ta Pharaoh of Rah’tuma Voice of Ka’tau
  16. The cleansed grounds where Gashadokuro’s infernal shrine once stood, now devoted to the bovine Goddess Hesthor, Lady of Pure Waters. The two priests of Hesthor stood infront of the infernal shrine that decorated Gashadokuro’s stomping grounds in the far reaches of Aevos’s swamps. This dreaded sight, an area stained with the blood of undead, hoplites, and Rah’muns alike, had finally fell once again to the judgment of Hesthor’s waters. But for the Pharaoh, Atemu-Ta, this was not simply a matter of perennial engagement with Iket - called Gashadokuro by some - and his men. Iket, for all meaningful purposes, is simply a useful tool of the forces of Isfet [chaos] who see him and his men as means to an end. When Isfet finally sets upon the world fully, Iket and all of his men will become disposable. The true enemy, Atemu knew, was not just an agent chaos - but the forces of chaos that directly oppose the order of the Gods. This triumph of Hesthor was then not one over Iket, but instead a direct challenge to the authority of Isfet and it’s ability to linger upon the world. Atemu knew that Isfet can only imitate what is true, good, and pure. Hesthor’s waters refine what is true, good, and pure. But impurity is the absence of purity, and requires purity for it to exist. Purity is the perfect form of the ideal - self-sustaining, self-perpetuating, and self-reliant. Iket and his men are parasites, then, capable of only corrupting what is good, and creating nothing. All of these thoughts raced through the Pharaoh’s head as he gazed upon the miasma of infernalist energies that corrupted the area near him. The Pharaoh and his fellow priest, Jahtep-Ra, wielded their crooks and called forth the Heka of Hesthor. The sight was truly something to behold. First a pure light entered the world through the forms of the priest-magicians. Then, the sounds of rushing water and the beating of bovine hooves against the ground ripped through the air and shook the corrupted landscape asunder. And then finally, the pure light overtook the forms of both Jahtep and Atemu, displaying hieroglyphic prophecies of purity’s coming and opening a gateway to bring the Immaculate River of Hesthor to overflow and wash away the infernal corruption - like water cleansing a river stone. Then, such a prophecy came true. The light, sounds, and honied smells which filled the air manifest into the form of a giant tidal wave of spiritual essence, flowing with the texture of milk, which launched forth from the two priests and washed away the corruption. The Infernal tree hanging over the shrine began to crack and falter beneath the weight of Hesthor’s heka. Small magma-pools were snuffed out, and dead flora was rejuvenated almost instaneously. The force of darkness and mystique that hung over Gashadokuro’s grave vanished, replaced by the serene peace of Hesthor’s presence. Heka had triumphed over Isfet once again. Atemu and Jahtep both looked upon their work with satisfaction. A perennial victory - perhaps. But at this point Hesthor’s message had been made clear to all, especially those agents of Isfet who previously discounted her: wherever corruption arises, her waters shall rise higher and wash it away. Another thing was clear: among all the spirits in Scorthuz’s domains, the growth of Hesthor’s priesthood and the invocation of her name against Isfet had certainly grown her name, it’s power, and her own domain. Atemu knew in the back of his mind that neither of these facts bode well for Gashadokuro or any other Isfetian agent across Aevos. Perhaps his people would become a target for these forces or, even worse, deemed a threat for elimination. In any case the Pharaoh simply looked at his work and smiled. The once wretched swamp was now restored, teeming with life and vitality, flowing with purified waters. Today was a victory - for Hesthor, for Heka, for the divine law of Ka’tau and, most importantly, for the Rah’mun peoples. [!] An illustration of what has happened is sent out across Aevos in a missive, and a small scribbling is attached to it. “No filth is impervious to Hesthor’s waters. Forces of chaos - beware. The Great River shall soon too drown you as they have others.” The Wrath of Hesthor pouring upon Isfetians OOC:
  17. Ser Philip the Owynist Prophet rebuking the iniqituious Prophet-knight Ser Philip standing against would-be persecutors To the nations of Canondom I am known as Ser Philip across the lands, although these days I have taken up the vocation as a Prophet-knight of Fire in the Owynist tradition. I have served in Canondom my whole life, for part of it as a devout Orthodox Canonist and the other half as an Owynist who still appreciates the Orthodox tradition. I served under King Charles in Aaun, the disgraced Duke Sarkozic in Adria, the Barclays in Minitz, and several pontiffs in the church as the Grand Inquisitor of the Holy Inquisition. Never once have I thought Canondom was in such a perilous time as they are now. Veletz, a nation formerly known as Adria which I served when it was a mere village on the river bank in Almaris, has committed the ultimate act of sacrilege. They have burnt down a mighty cathedral of GOD in Petra shamelessly, while simultaneously claiming to be followers of GOD. The justification I imagine the apologists for Veletz shall give for their iniquitous actions will invoke the presence of Hohkmat in Petra’s borders. They may object that any ‘canonist’ nation would truly harbor voidal magi or turn a blind eye to works. But this argument is half-hearted and borne of the carnality of the flesh, not a spiritual understanding of GOD’s word. In the Scroll of the Spirit, Owyn travels to the nations of the world and admonishes different cultures for rejecting the true conception of GOD. In addressing Magi, he admonishes them that GOD has no equal, and his power shall not be imitated. Yet, Owyn did not wield his sword of fire to vanquish the voidal magi as he did Iblees; nor did he strike them with blindness with GOD’s fire, as he did Harren. He admonished them with mercy, understanding, and power - and exhorted them to virtue. Yes - Petra must reckon with it’s relationship with GOD and Hohkmat. But no - it shall not do so on the account of iniquitous behavior from Veletz or any other mortal power; it shall only do so by divine revelation from GOD and his servants the prophets. Now answer me this, Veletzians - who is better off in the eyes of our LORD: he who exhorts the lost to virtue by standing upon GOD’s word, and perhaps even harbors the lost as they do this, or he who proclaims heavenly virtue but has none of it in their heart? The actions of Veletz fall into the second category; for as much talk about GOD and righteousness that come from the warriors of Veletz, their hearts are far from GOD. As one who sits in the office of the prophet of GOD, as any devoted servant whose soul is bathed in his fire does, I decree the following woes be released upon the iniquitous of Veletz: WOE be unto you, all who maim the body of GOD while proclaiming his virtue. WOE be unto you, all who reject the canticle of humility and replace it with arrogance. WOE be unto you, all who wield a sword against an innocent for a worldly cause, rejecting GOD’s justice. WOE be unto you, all you workers of evil, who do not use your words to speak as GOD commands, but default to the sword. Even Owyn gave Harren a chance to repent before striking him down. WOE Be unto the seeds of violence planted by Duke Sarkozic and his family, in his initial rebellion against Canondom which displaced priests, killed innocents like Sigismond Varoche and orphaned his children. These seeds of violence are sprouting within Veletz now, which is an inheritant of Sarkozic's rule - WOE be until this seed. May the fire of GOD BURN UP this seed of violence and cause it to never rise again in the Kingdom of GOD - I declare. These WOES are backed up by the fire of GOD. May they admonish the iniquitous across the nations and judge them harshly for their actions. All of you who have partaken in the burning of Petra’s church: may the wrath of GOD be upon your life like FIRE. May you suffer the same fate as Harren, except ten-thousand times worse, for the crime of harming GOD’s children. It is not I who will seek vengeance, but it is the fires of GOD themselves that shall pour from the Seven Skies and assail you. I am a fire-washed warrior for GOD. I have spent my whole life training up legionaries for the kingdom; using the blessing of Archangel Michael to tear down the strongholds of darkness across the lands, and advising Canonist princes on matters spiritual and mundane. Although the Curia may find me apostate now - which I do not mind, even Exalted Owyn was deemed an outcast by the authorities of his day - my words still ring true. If Canondom is to remain secure, Veletz’s actions cannot go unpunished. If the church is to remain a viable institution, Veletz’s actions cannot go unpunished. I call upon the pontiff, if he truly be a defender of GOD’s bride, to issue a Golden Bull condemning the actions of Veletz. Nothing less than a Bull which excommunicates the iniquitous of Veletz from the ranks of the Kingdom and decrees a crusade against them is acceptable. The church for too long has been concerned with status and power-gathering; with catering to the needs and desires of noble families while ignoring the fire of GOD. This is why Owyn struck Harren with blindness; when worldly authorities deny the immaculate compulsion of our LORD, they too must be thrown down by a demonstration of his power. The voice of GOD commanded Harren to free the people of their bondage, but Harren was far too concerned with status to listen to GOD. And thus, he fell blind and impotent, as the holy word decrees. Pontiff, I beseech you to assert the same force of GOD upon Veletz. There surely are righteous within their ranks, yes, but the iniquitous outweigh the worthy. And the iniquitous are a threat to the people of GOD. A crusade is the only fitting option to stop this march of sin from consuming GOD’s people, once and for all. O’ lord I pray, as he who wields the flame of Owyn and the imprimatur of the Archangel, that you strike the iniquitous of all kingdoms - including Veletz - with blindness. Lord I pray that your people may pick up mantles in the heavenlies and toss down strongholds who besmirch your people. Lord I pray - may a wave of blessed fire from the Seven Skies burn up the plans Iblees and his agents have for the people of GOD. May every action done against the people of GOD - whether in Petra or elsewhere - backfire against sender seven-thousand fold. May they know the wrath they sought to inflict upon your people, and may it never be well with them. Amen. Heed my word, Canondom. Nothing good will come of abiding the machinations of the wicked. Cast it out with holy fire or be consumed by darkness. Sincerely, Ser Philip the Righteous. God’s Prophet of Fire. Wielder of Owyn’s Burning Sword of Judgment Blessed of the Archangel Bane of the Darkness Evangelist to the nations.
  18. [!] Ser Philip reads the missive in disgust, shaking his head from side to side. "Killing halflings, burning churches .. - and yet, the Veletzians claim I am the dishonorable and crazy one?" Philip mused, looking out his window at the crashing waves around Balian Tuvia, basking in the relative peace of his homeland.
  19. Hesthor, lesser spirit of Pure Waters under Scorthuz Hesthor is a prominent Rah’mun cow deity whose domain encompasses purity. Her domains are often referred to with two singular titles: pure waters and bovine purging. Both aspects of Hesthor are prominent within Rah’mun culture with varying degrees of importance between their use. Hesthor is identified with pure waters in acknowledgment of her ability to wash clean spiritual filth from the soul, such as curses and afflictions. She is identified with bovine purging to recognize the power of her wrath, especially when directed upon the strongest of purity’s enemies, such as necromancers, warlocks, aengudaemonica worshipers, vampires, naztherak, voidal magicians and their constructs, the soul-altered, and others who defy her immaculate image. Hesthor demands that all the impure get carried down the Great River like a rock, and either washed clean of all filth and remade in her image, or reduced to sand and swept away with the waters. In any case, Hesthorian priests call forth the domains of the Cow Mother to cleanse what is unclean, preserve what is pure, and tend towards the perfection of Creation’s order. Hesthor is one of the three original deities who emerged during the start of Creation, the other two being the Ra’tuhmet, who created all things, and Kalthet, who was tasked with defending them with her primordial spear and wit. The Rah’mun peoples often invoke Hesthor’s “Great Immaculate River” or the "River Hesthor" or simply "The Great River" in prayers towards her. This river is said to exist in the Heavens of Ka where the Gods dwell and appears as a winding, wide river consisting almost entirely of milk and honey. This river starts inside the throne room of Hesthor herself within the Great Silver Pyramid, fed by her blessing, and flows across the heavens until it reaches a gateway where the river waters pour into physical reality. Pyramids and temples of Hesthor are believed to be receptacles for the waters of the River. The beginning of the Immaculate River emerging from the Silver Pyramid of Hesthor Downstream the River Hesthor, close to the entryway into physical reality.. Many pyramids and temples of Hesthor have pools of water within them that reflect the milken character of Hesthor’s river. Some have even caused nearby rivers to also reflect the character and prowess of the Immaculate River, causing the areas surrounding it to become a magnet for the righteous and a toxin for the impure. Hesthor’s involvement in Rah’mun civilization has been proactive. Many Rah’muns drink from her waters in everyday life to secure their bodies and souls from diseases and supernatural maladies. Priests of all Gods purify their worship sites with Hesthor’s waters before proceeding with a ritual. From the first Pharaoh Naseret, who Hesthor helped defeat an Inferic uprising against the Rah’mun empire, Hesthor has demanded absolute purity from every Pharaoh of the Rah’muns who has lived. Legend says that Hesthor also created a race of bovine men - half man, half-cow - and set them upon the world as her emissaries. These men were said to lead the great temples and pyramids of Hesthor as one rank above the human and elvish high priests that normally populated them. They were also endowed with special authority, capable of purging the Isfetians with their mere presence, and striking forth against enemies with the physical force of Hesthor herself. These abilities were not known to even Hesthor’s highest priests, making the bovine men a distinction and a myth within the Hesthorian faith. A depiction of a Hesthorian bovine emissary-priest. A Hesthorian Bovine Priest-Magician atop his steed overflowing with Hesthor’s waters, preparing to cast. Rah’mun mythos dictates that one day the Isfetian demon general Kazul, who is known as Ixris by some spiritualists, looked upon Hesthor’s emissaries with fury due to her previous offense against him.The legend goes that Kazul was particularly spiteful about Hesthor empowering Naseret to wash his Inferic forces away with her waters. In retaliation, Kazul sent several of his minions to infiltrate Rah’mun societies and corrupt the minds of Hesthorian priest initiates who often labored under more established priests. Through subterfuge and corruption, Kazul managed to provoke the internal destruction of several lower-end Hesthorian temples, which then allowed Inferic raiders to infiltrate major population centers for the Bovine Men and engage them in battle. Due to overwhelming force and a low ferocity of defense, many of the Bovine Men were wiped out by the Inferic onslaught, and several groups of Hesthor priests along with them. From that point forth, it has been the goal of every Pharaoh to recreate Hesthor’s pure herd of Bovine men and weaponize them for war against Isfet. Hesthorian circles mutter with talk of a prophecy that foretells the return of Hesthor’s bovine men at the behest of a determined Pharaoh. It has also been the goal of every succeeding Hesthor priesthood to see Infernalism as the height of evil and to invoke the Great River against it at every turn. In the modern era, Hesthorianism is receiving a resurgence in popularity amongst the Rah’mun peoples. A giant temple of Hesthor sits in the waters of Rah’tuma and boasts a growing priesthood. The Pharaoh and his advisors also take numerous trips to Hesthor’s pyramid and often carry out tasks to expand her reach across the world. Pharaoh Atemu-Ta has declared war against the Azdrazi under Hesthor’s banner and purged their lands with her waters. He also sent forth the Great River against Lich King Iket (Gashadokuro) gravesite and rose a white obelisk of Hesthor in its place. Under his rule, the temple of Hesthor now has several trained warriors who take up arms exclusively for Hesthor’s cause. A mighty shrine to Hesthor located in the Temple Hesthor in Rah'tuma The purging power of Hesthor’s waters remains a viable tool for the Rah’mun man’s struggle to defend the law of Ka’tau against the ravages of Isfet. Time will tell if the Cow Mother can face the growing tide of Isfet rising in the distance. A Hesthorian priest purging an Isfetian demon with Hesthor’s waters Worship of Hesthor consists of prayer, offering diamonds and other pristine objects to her temple, purifying or cleansing corrupted sites (through mundane means or by directly invoking Hesthor’s waters), keeping one’s dwelling place clean, refraining from practicing foreign magicks and endorsing practices that degrade the body, mind, and spirit, drinking from blessed waters, and so forth.
  20. City of Rah’Tuma [!] A scenic overview of the city of the Rah’mun peoples, Rah’tuma Far from their homeland amid the grainy sands of the deserts, the Rah’mun peoples have settled a mighty citadel to the Gods upon the cliff sides of the west. The mighty lighthouse of Flame rises from the lower levels of the city, it’s light only outshone by the crystal lights shining from the Temple Hesthor, the mighty shrine of purity in all of the West, and the temple of the Ra’tuhmet, whose flaming obelisks proclaim the power of the Eternal Sun over the city. Rah’tuma Culture: [!] A group of Rah’muns congregating in everyday life. History: Rah’tuma is the city of the Rah’mun peoples that exists right outside of Nor’asath overlooking the oceans. The Rah’mun peoples were originally a desert dwelling culture who are devoted to the idea of Ka’tau: the universal law of Creation that holds everything together and demands enforcement. To this end, the Rah’mun people worship Gods who embody different aspects of Creation and conduct various religious and cultural festivals to ensure Ka’tau flourishes throughout the lands. Some Rah’mun cities reflect devotion to a single God, whereas others serve several or all of the Gods in the pantheon. The Rah’muns are also an innovative people, and put great emphasis on wit, invention, and strategy in matters of the world and civilization. Followers of the God Atah are known to invent many structures and tools for everyday use, wartime purposes, and spiritual use. Many Rah’muns in general own businesses in foreign lands and help other civilizations with their own needs through inventions. There is also a strong intellectual core amongst the Rah’mun population, establishing their prowess as intellectuals and thinkers. The origins of the Rah’mun peoples are ancient, though formal narratives about their history are often conflicting and inconsistent. The general narrative is that the Rah’mun empire spanned continents long ago, but fell apart around three-hundred years ago after a horrible attack from sorcerers of Isfet [chaos] and their Inferi helpers. This attack scattered the Rah’mun people across several continents, caused their cities to fall into chaos and degrade, and almost resulted in the elimination of the Rah’muns as a whole. Now, under the leadership of Pharaoh Atemu-Ta, the beginnings of a new Rah’mun empire are underway. The Pharaoh established the city of Rah’tuma in Nor’asath and welcomed all Rah’muns and outsiders who wish to learn more about the way of life of their people. The Gods (spirits) [!] Shrine to the Ra’tuhmet, God of Eternal Sunlight, in his Rah’tuma temple. [!] Shrine to Hesthor, Cow Goddess of Pure Waters and Bovine Purging [!] The exterior of the Temple of Pure Waters dedicated to Hesthor in Rah'tuma [!] The Shrine of the Sphinx-God Tetu, defender of Rah'tuma and Conqueror of Chaos, facing Rah'tuma's entrance, awaiting to deal with impending foes. The city is full of shrines, temples, and statutes to the various deities within the ancient Rah’mun religion of Ka’tau. There are three major temples and shrines within Rah’tuma: the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Pure Waters, and the shrine of Tetu. The three main Gods praised in Rah’tuma are the Ra’tuhmet, Hesthor, and Tetu. The Ra’tuhmet is the embodiment of eternal sunlight and is also seen by many Rah’muns as the Creator deity of the world. Hesthor is the personification of purity manifest as a white cow woman bearing a sistrum, pharonic headdress, and a cross of the Ankh representing her authority to cleanse life. Tetu is a sphinx-god who is said to have authority to defend against supernatural dangers to the Rah’mun peoples such as demons, malign spirits, bad dreams, voidalists, and other forces that oppose Pharaoh. He is also considered to be a guardian of Rah’mun cities from all potential harms. All shrines except Tetu's are vested with divine authority and distant echoes from the Gods's domains can be heard near them. These are only a fraction of the Gods known and venerated by the Rah’mun peoples. There are many more deities within the pantheon of Ka’tau that citizens of Rah’tuma are welcomed to worship, and all of them have varying levels of popularity. The veneration of Ra’tuhmet in Rah’tuma reflects both the namesake of the city and the Rah’muns eternal devotion to the source of Creation. In Rah’mun belief, the sun gives form to Creation, and by the same token it can also eviscerate what does not conform with it. The pure waters of Hesthor wash what is correct but unrefined, and wash away what is completely unclean, both supernaturally and otherwise. It is common to see Rah’muns in the Temple Hesthor drinking the blessed waters of purity to renew their minds and souls. It is also common to see Rah’muns entering the temple of the Ra’tuhmet and casting offerings in his feet or placing them in the donation box. A common occurrence every few days in Rah’tuma is the ritual of overthrowing Keop which takes place in the Temple of the Eternal Sun. Rah’muns gather together with clay figurines of Keop, a dark figure in Ka’tau religion, and writings of him in tow. Then, lead by a high priest of the Ra’tuhmet, they begin reciting a series of prayers cursing Keop’s name and they proceed to rip up their papers, destroy the clay figurines of their targets in a rather creative way, all while joining the priest in pronouncing prayers against the Dark One. Numerous events are held in the Temple Hesthor, including both rituals and sometimes educational gatherings. The priesthoods of Ka’tau rarely prostelytize, though, expecting their flocks to live out their devotion to the Gods in everyday life rather than in mere dogma. The priesthoods for the Gods, which are known for teaching their priests how to utilize their divine authority in different ways, also routinely recruit interested Rah’muns to their ranks. According to many Orcish observers, the Rah’muns are a spiritualist culture that worships spirits as Gods and has shamans as priests. While this is technically true, few Rah’muns would ever call their Gods spirits or lessers of any sort - they refer to them as predominant divine forces and see anything else as redundant. A growing number of Gods have established groups of champions fighting for them beneath their banners. [!] The Grand Rah'mun Trading Hall in Rah'tuma. [!] The Desert Lily Tavern located in Rah'tuma Economics and politics Rah’tuma is a traditional absolute monarchy led by a figure called “Pharaoh.” The Pharaoh in Rah’mun society has traditionally been venerated as a Godlike figure, and is the supreme figure in all matters of interpretation in the Rah’mun religion. He sets religious doctrine and rituals, is considered the voice of the Gods and the ultimate lawbringer of Ka’tau. Pharaoh is also considered to be the one who upholds the balance of the realms by ensuring Ka’tau prevails over the forces of chaos, which adds to his godlike physique. Despite all political power falling to Pharaoh and his advisors, there is a strict emphasis on freedom in Rah’mun society. Ahura-ma, the Rah’mun goddess of Freedom, demands that practices like enslavement or captivity never be practiced amongst the Rah’muns, and her dictates are held deeply. Economically, the Rah’muns are both traders and inventors. On the lowest level of Rah’tuma there is a giant trading area for merchants from all over to setup and sell their wares. There is also a strong emphasis on selling potions, spiritual elixirs, weapons of war, and food in the city. Anyone is free to set up a stall in the Rah’mun market so long as they pay a small fee. Rah’tuma’s primary currency is mina, though diamonds or pearls and pure salts are sometimes accepted, the latter two representing the dominance of Hesthorian beliefs in the city. 21. [!] Ser Philip the Righteous, a venerable knight somewhere upon an island in the far reaches of the south hears of the mighty Sigrun's downfall to the Lich. The knight then ponders the words he told to the Curia a few months prior about the nature of their foe being 'spiritual warfare'. The knight turns towards the bonfire of the Archangel Michael and falls to his knees, bowing his head and saying the following words. "Almighty GOD, may the eyes of your people be open to the evil that scavenges our land, looking to consume even the holiest amongst us. Lift Sigrun's soul up comfortably to your thone room, so that the blessed Fallen's names may be sung by the holiest of choruses in the Seven Skies.." The knight remarks, in tribute to his old ally Sigrun. The knight then rises from his fetal position and gathers his supplies. He eventually boards an old canoe and begins paddling to the mainlands, intent on further investigating recent events..
  22. [!] The following missive is distributed every major Kingdom throughout Aevos by eager Rah’mun couriers. The missive is marked with a golden wax seal which depicts an Eye of Ra’tuhmet at it’s center. Upon opening the missive a depiction of Larihei and the Rah’mun Goddess of Ka’tau (justice) standing over the Silver State of Haelun’or. Greetings to all. I am Pharaoh Atemu-Ta of Rah’tuma, leader of the Rah’mun peoples and twin-sun of the Bronze Band. Fair peoples of Aevos, I regret to say that impurity lives deep within the heart of Haelu’nor. I just returned from the Silver State where I and a diplomatic envoy went to settle the dishonorable killing of a dual-citizen of Haelun’or and Krugmar on Krugmarian soil. When me and other members of the convoy, such as Pamphilos, the Grand Diplomat of the Rex to the Horde states, orcs, and Luthriel, arrived to Haelun’or we were met with scorn, derision, and malice. The foulest and most impure of conduct came from Maethor Sythaerin who claims to be a “royal guard” within the jurisdiction of Haelun’or. Before we could even speak Maethor called for our deaths, pulled out his sword, and spat numerous insults towards us to delegitimize us in the eyes of the audience. Myself and others within our group had ALREADY willingly sacrificed our weapons to the gate warden and resolve this issue peacefully. The impure Isfetians had other plans. Maethor rang the bell and called forth his men to kill us on sight. Then Valindra and Haus, two other impures who are banished from krug and other lands for their deeds of being darkspawn and aligning with them on some level, came forth and began making their own demands. Eventually the gate was lifted and Maethor marched forth, seized Pamphilos and bound his mouth, legs, and hands, and then whisked him into the silver city. I was refused entry into the city to stand by my brother by these same people. And then Luthriel, who was frozen in panic and overwhelmed at the horrific scenes, was called an “experiment” by several of the Hae’lunorians; Seth, Valindra, and others. This Isfetian experiment allegedly seeks to usurp the order of the Gods by creating something greater than them - or so it was explained to me by an arcanist. I asked Luthriel if she wished to come with me and she was clear she had no interest in partaking in the experiment. I urged Valindra, Haus, and those surrounding me to let her go. Despite her clear wishes not to go with them, they refused my advances. Valindra then threatened me with potential legal sanction - death was the implication - if I tried to forcefully bring Luthriel with me. Enslavement is horrific to my people and deserving of only the harshest of punishments. As I begrudgingly left the Silver City I heard Pamphilos’s voice bellowing out, screaming as if he was being tortured. My friends, these actions are despicable. Even if the accused - Valindra, Haus, Maethor and their flock - are not soul-corrupted, their hearts are as black as ink. They are willing agents of Isfet [Chaos] who murder dissidents, enslave people for eldritch purposes, and threaten foreign leaders seemingly with impunity. But I, Pharaoh Atemu-Ta, hold the mandate of the Gods of Ka, as I am their force and weapon upon this realm. Lady Ka’tau, the goddess of the universal law of justice, has began her judgment of the Silver State and those in their tall walls who abet Isfet. Larihei looks upon her people with shame, for they have also deviated from her ancient pure standards. Lady Hesthor, our Goddess of Pure Waters, is displeased at the punishment of one of her priests (Pamphilos) by those who clearly abhor the Pure Law. And furthermore, the audacity of the impure to capture citizens of Krugmar without anticipating a potential conflict over such behavior is startling. It should be noted that a purple orc named Orc, who Pamphilos brought to help us conduct diplomacy, also betrayed him and assisted in his capture. I have raised his name up before the throne of judgment upon which Ka’tau sits and it has been cursed with dishonor. The Gods revolt against him and his ilk. As such, I lay a list of demands at the feet of Valindra, Maethor, Haus, and their allies in Haelun’or. One, I demand an unconditional release of all hoplite captives of Sulianpoli, Rah’tuma, and Krugmar, particularly Pamphilos and Luthriel. Second, I demand an apology to the people of Rah’tuma and Sulianpoli for your dishonorable behavior. Third, I demand that Valindra, Haus, and Maethor be judged by those in the Silver walls who still care for the pure law, and wish for the will of Larihei to remain strong. Put them in the pure water, and if their souls do not catch fire, then it is shown. As you consider these demands, I call forth the allies of Sulianpoli and Rah’tuma - Sol entente (the sun elves), House Weiss and House Vuiller, Caelia, Rex Grubnakh of Krugmar, and the Oni and the lads of Sakagakura - to take up arms in the event the Isfetian agents refuse my terms. I also urge the people of Rah’tuma to prepare to contribute to a military operation if my demands are not met. Gather at shrines of Kalthet and ask her to bless up with a strategy of victory over these Isfetians, for then victory shall be assured. I shall be meeting with leaders of the various nations to discuss next steps. Be warned, Isfetians: if you fail to deliver Luthriel and Pamphilos safely to me, you will suffer in ways not conceivable to the mortal mind. The full wrath of the Gods will be upon you and it shall not leave you until your body and it’s shadowy soul are struck from existence by their might, forever. My warning for the people of the Silver lands, the fair pure people who follow the way of their gods. Beware these names. Haus Weiss Vuiller, Valindra, and Maethor Sythaerin. If you find them near, watch your back. Do not believe them, for they refuse the test of purity, and even if they are not spooks, they are confirmed both at once, cruel, and evil. May the truth of existence be held most high. Suffer not the impure. Pharaoh Atemu-Ta Pharaoh of Rah’tuma Voice of Ka’tau, Lawbringer of Ka'tau Twin-Sun of the Bronze Band

  25. The official seal of Rah’tuma, the sunlit domain of the Gods of Ka’tau [!] The following missive is distributed throughout the region of Rah’tuma in Nor’asath, and also spread across Aevos by followers of the Ka’tau faith. Le-iy in the name of the Ra’tuhmet, our lord of eternal sunlight, and Ka’tau, our Lady of all that is Orderly and proper in Creation. I am Pharaoh Atemu-Ta of the newly settled domain of Rah’tuma. Our city is located just beyond the walls of Nor’asath in the vibrant sunlight of its shores. Our nation is a reflection of the ingenuity of the Rah’mun peoples and the grace of the Gods. We intend our lands to be a place for any spiritualist who recognizes the authority of the Gods, and to also serve as a homeland for ALL persecuted Rah’muns and their family from across the continents. All who wish to learn about our ways and the divine law of Ka’tau are invited to visit and join our culture. As the first document issued for the people of Rah’tuma, the following demands are laid at the feet of all who enter this domain, and are compulsory for all who follow the faith of Ka’tau and our Gods: Firstly, all Isfetian magicks, practices, and beliefs are not welcomed in Rah’tuma. “Isfetian” practices are those which stoke chaos and contradict the immaculate law of Ka’tau, and additionally displease the pure domains of Lady Hesthor, our goddess of pure waters. “Isfetian” practices are as follows: Azdromoth heraldry or Azdrazi, necromancy, any magicks which manipulate the unliving that do not come from the Gods (lutaumancy is fine), blood magick, Frost Witches and their flocks, worship of the False-Sun (Xan) and use of his powers, the void, worship of Malchediael and use of his powers, Inferi and their Nazterak, vampirism, slavers and enslaved peoples, and other faiths, practices, or beings whose souls are far removed from purity. They are not welcomed in Rah’tuma and, if they come here, they will be kindly asked to leave. Enemies of the Rah’mun people are not welcome - political or spiritual. No Rah’mun or follower of Ka’tau shall practice any magick or consult any power except those of the Gods. As such, ‘shamanism’ is the only permitted magic a follower of Ka’tau or a Rah’mun shall practice. Blood magic, the filthy art which degrades the mind and body, shall not be practiced by any Rah’mun or follower of Ka’tau. Practice of blood magic or its adjacent diseased cousins (vampirism) is strictly prohibited within the walls of Rah’tuma. Anyone found practicing blood magic within the city is subject to a punishment at the discretion of the Pharaoh or any of the sacred priests of Hesthor or the Ra’tuhmet, the two Gods with the greatest disdain of the void. No Rah’mun or follower of Ka’tau shall practice voidalism or consort its powers in any form. Voidal mages or their Isfetian constructs may not enter the city unless they are willing to submit to the waters of Hesthor and forsake the Void for eternity. Contrary faiths to the religion of Ka’tau, like druidism, are welcome to visit Rah’tuma, but they may not try to convert our populace or any other tourists while within our walls. Religious discussion and debate is fine - conversion is not. All darkspawn who enter the city are kill-on-sight. No exceptions. Theft is strictly prohibited. Unruly behavior in our taverns or streets is also prohibited - respect those who live here or do not dwell amongst us. This is a place of Order and Light. May these rules serve to keep all visitors to Rah’tuma safe and welcomed into our city. Atemu Ta Pharaoh of Rah'tuma Voice of Ka’tau Gleaming light of the Ra’tuhmet
