  1. [!] The newly christened Templar gazes upon the latest missive from the Ibleesian forces with righteous scorn upon his countenance. The fire of GOD, reinforced by the tenets of Owynism, burn strongly within the knight as Archangel Michael's radiant blessing continues to grow within his soul, strengthening it; imbuing it with divine courage. He grits his teeth as he looks out upon the Aaunian countryside, thinking about the profane prophecy given to him by the Owl in the lushes of Celia'unor. He turns towards a piece of sacred iconography of Exalted Owyn on his wall and subsequently signs the Lorraine over his body. He speaks subtly. "May GOD use me and every other warrior in his service as he did you against the Hordes of Iblees, Exalted Owyn. May my sword constitute burning judgment towards their hordes.. As for the Owl.." The knight pauses, gripping the mid-section of his Lunarite mace which radiates a silvery white light. "May his head fall beneath thine righteous judgment!" And with that proclamation, he brings the full brunt of his mace down upon a small piece of rock upon his table, smashing it into bits. The knight exits his tent and mounts his steed, riding off towards Khamer'Parbat to prepare his apprentices for what is to come.
  2. [!] The Sulianpolite Scorthuzian elf gazes upon the missive with a strong expression of disgust upon his countenance. Once he concludes reading, he sets the paper down and stares towards the sturdy walls of Krugmar, which are quite visible from the heights of Sulianpoli. A devious smile comes across his face as he retreats to the armory, muttering the following words under his breath "Hak-Scorthuz. May our LORD of purity wash away this Ibleesian traitor from this world and the next, forevermore!"
  3. I, for one, think this amendment is a welcomed addition! Hydromancy is incredibly nerfed at the moment, giving very little reason to have it even for utility purposes (housemagery and a bucket of water can arguably cover all of the non-combative uses of water evo). I might agree that the sword evocation is a bit questionable, but everything else (dry ice, freezing water blasts) are necessary additions to strengthen the magic. OP, you'll have to explain how the water evocationists can maintain concentration to sustain a voidal blade while fighting. If you can get over that hurdle I think you have a winning project! +1 for me.
  4. As a long-time magic RPer, this lore contains such rich possibilities for RP, character development, aesthetics, lore, and so forth. I cannot endorse this enough. +1 hoping to see this go into lore.
  5. [!] The following missive is sent throughout the principalities within the Kingdom of Aaun that were nearest to the Duchy of Adria, although it is conceivable that it has spread beyond Aaun’s borders. It contains the following warning. To the people of Adria and surrounding towns: Over the past few Saints Weeks, our Duchy has undergone three separate assaults from an unknown eldritch being. I have personally witnessed and seen these occurrences from many angles. They have led to Adrians being cursed, maimed, and killed by dark forces that manifest as shadows and disembodied voices. The first of these occurrences involved a man who goes by the name Yavonna discussing a tome alongside our Duchy’s many campfires. The tome ended up unleashing a dark horror across Adria which summoned several skeletal apparitions to attack our lands. When Yavonna was decapitated, this dark force somehow pieced his body back together and allowed him to flee. The second event was more sinister. A shadowy horror, wrapped in tendrils whilst bearing a form of complete darkness, manifested upon Adria and began its assault. This horror attacked us with a combination of tendril strikes and magical blood. In fact, it summoned a circle of blood to protect it and afflict anyone within its radius with terrible maladies. I managed to slay this creature with my flaming Blainbraid, causing it to recede back into the Abyss. During this encounter the creature managed to curse two people, inciting one of them to fight against my fellow defenders, while causing the other to lose consciousness and experience mental torment upon awakening. During the attack, three individuals were taken through the blood unwillingly to the city of Hae’lunor. However, the three returned with word that Yavonna had assisted them, then let them go. I took one of the victims to the Paladin’s keep to treat her affliction. A pool of accursed blood manifested around us while we were in the Keep and forcibly teleported us to a keep in old Hae’lunor. It was there we met Yavonna, who did all he could to convince us to strike a deal with him. I refused, of course. When we announced our unwillingness to accept his bargain, a mass of shadows jumped towards me and began to crush my body with immense weight. Had the Paladins not arrived in time, I would have likely been lost to the crushing weight of sorcerer’s dark magicks. Shortly after the paladins arrived a fight broke out between the Warriors of Xan and the dark sorcerer. The combined might of paladins and Druii present were enough to seemingly defeat Yavonna; a chandelier whipped by druidic vines crushed his body, while several stabbing attacks before then riddled him with fatal wounds. However, just like before his master reanimated his body and began speaking through him. At that moment, the evil power controlling him sent its power across the room and blocked all divinely-connected individuals from their patrons, including mine. The paladins, nor I, or the druids, could access their blessings whilst the entity maintained its spell, rendering us virtually powerless against its whims. Eventually it released us, but not before assuring me of one thing: It will conquer Adria and persist its wretched assaults until this goal is accomplished. This was the promise made to me by the evil power controlling Yavonna, the sorcerer. During the most recent attack, it marked three people whose names I shall leave anonymous. The entity called out three names in particular through Yavonna and claimed it would return to collect them, allowing them a temporary “peace.” Dear friends, this entity is deadly. I am not sure what nature it belongs to, but I am most certain that it will ruthlessly pursue the people of Adria and the marked until it has claimed them. This entity has shown the ability to: Summon minions at will, sometimes entire groups of them. Nullify deific sorceries with the wave of a hand. Invade the mind seamlessly and bestow curses upon its victims. Wield blood as a weapon against descendant-kind to debilitating effects. For all of these reasons and more I, as a protector of the Duchy of Adria and a Knight under House Sarkozic, recommend that all Adrians remain indoors and avoid interacting with the man named Yavonna should he return. He is incredibly dangerous. He is a conduit for a powerful entity that has no qualms with attacking your soul. All denizens of the Kingdom of Aaun should remain alert for Yavonna as well. He wears a green robe and a black hat, often walking around with a tome in tow. Rest assured, several measures are being taken to address this problem. But most importantly we must all remember one enduring truth: GOD is resolute over all evil, no matter how dark or powerful it seems. The LIGHT of the Seven Skies will burn these shadows to ash and keep the realm of Man intact. As an agent of the Seven Skies, I will ensure GOD's judgment drives this entity away from our lands and all of Almaris, forever. GOD bless you all, and may Archangel Michael be your sword and shield. Sincerely, Ser Philip the Righteous Knight of House Sarkozic Defender of the realm Agent of the Seven Skies Alexei Volkov, Cossack of The Host of Saint Arpad ((OOC: Written by boknice275 and Breadnugget7567))
  6. The recently christened Templar receives word of the King's passing while sitting in his small tent in the Duchy of Adria. Phil looks up from his studies and stares towards the sky, falling into a deep reminiscent day-dream about the Karl and his few interactions with them. Images flash through his mind of the hellish Inferni invasion of Karosgard, where he fought alongside Haenseti soldiers and allies against the legions of Iblees. Memories of Karl confronting the infernal Prince of Carrion valiantly with his blade appear before the Knight's imagination. Those memories are shortly replaced with the sounds of Haenseti nobles bickering for the crown over the King's fallen body after he had soundly defeated the infernal Prince. A moment or two later, Phil returns back to his normal state of mind and exhales. He rises to his feet and signs the Lorraine over himself, taking off his steel gauntlets and placing them on the ground as a sign of respect and remembrance. He kneels, dutifully praying towards patron, called Angel Michael in the Canonist faith but known as Malchediael to others, and Ex. Owyn on the condition of Karl's soul. "Mighty hosts and servant of our LORD who reigns in the Seven Skies, may the King's soul make it to his rest peacefully and with grace. Holy Saints, intercede on behalf of this warrior so that he may be accepted before the LORD's domain. Amen." With that, Phil rises to his feet and exits his tent and immediately hops atop his steed. He whips the reins down and gallops northward towards the Kingdom of Haense.
  7. OOC ((MC Name: Boknice275 )) ((Discord: ChristianJ#0755 )) ((Timezone: EST )) IN-CHARACTER What is your name? Grymus Irongut. Why seek membership to the Mages Guild? I seek membership to expand my knowledge of the arcane arts, defend all descendants from those who would bring them harm, and demonstrate the blessings of Ogradhad to all willing to see. What arts, if any, do you currently practice? None. What position do you desire to attain upon acceptance? Practicus. When should you be contacted for an interview? As soon as humanly possible. OOC: I will answer anytime I am near the computer!
  8. A rough sketch of the monstrosity discussed [!] The following missive is distributed throughout the lands on thick parchment paper, with heavier concentrations appearing in the Kingdom of Aaun and areas surrounding it. It is attached to trees, wood posts, and other structures capable of holding paper. The following text is written in golden ink. An Imminent Threat To All Beloved descendants of all the lands, I come with news of a grave threat. Before I proceed I must introduce myself: I am Sir Philip Lionheart, known by some as Phil the Righteous or simply Phil. I am charged with the protection of the people of Adria, in part, and the preservation of all innocents against the unjust and wicked, at large. I have fought numerous darkspawn in Aaun and throughout the lands of Almaris with vigor and dedication. My heart bleeds for innocent souls who fall prey to dark desires. A few moons ago myself and a few others were headed to Minitz to investigate another matter that I may notify you all about someday. On the road to Minitz we traveled through my home of Adria and encountered an eldritch creature. Indeed, his form reflects the most vilest constitution that ever entered mortal minds: the being's stomach was shaped like a jagged-maw which dripped with bile and water; he had tentacles wreathed around his body which caused him to 'float' towards others as if he was on water, it's eyes were like an endless void of darkness without a glimmer of hope within them. When I approached the creature for questioning I asked him what his purpose was in the realm of men, as I do with all darkspawn I confront. I question them not to share pleasantries, but to form a basis to convict and evict them from whence they do not belong. The creature remarked that he was "cursed by a dark magician" and he was thus searching for GOD to seek revenge. Shortly thereafter I commanded him to leave Adria, where I expressly have authority as a knight under Duke Sarkozic, and the realm of men generally, where I have authority as a wielder of the flame of Owyn under the authority of almighty GOD. Instead of complying with my request, it began to summon a green slime that snaked across it's body and surrounded it's hands. I took no chances after this clear sign of aggression. I quickly maneuvered to the east and approached the being with every intention of ending it before it could harm anyone else. What happened next was horrid: it cast the substance towards me and a circle of flames surrounded my person. I foolishly tried to step over the flames, an action that would be my undoing. They proceeded to flare up and consume my entire body, tho' only my face received any injuries. Every other part of my body did not even feel any 'heat' from the flames, leading me to believe they are from a demonic source. More on this in a moment. After burning me and rebuffing an attack from my colleague who threw a spear at it, the being bargained with two jesters who tried to save me. The creature's demands to leave me alone were simple: he wanted to become empowered to "kill" Inferi. This may sound like the musings of a would-be monster hunter, but alas beloved, they were nothing of the sort. As I recovered from my burn wounds I witnessed the creature produce a crab from it's maw which crawled upon the hands of one of the jesters. The creature asked the jester how did they feel about holding an Inferi. From that statement I can deduce that this creature is a conjuring demon cursed with the tools of Iblees; I fought these same creatures in Haense not too long ago, as did many of us. The creature also told the jesters that if they hadn't been present he would have "eaten my soul." He also remarked that I should be lucky that his flame wasn't "cursed" because I would have became schizophrenic. These are the ravings of an absolute madman, not a seeker of truth searching for divinity. Shortly after these remarks, he mounted his steed and claimed he would continue his search for God, and then galloped off into the sun. The presence of darkspawn in any territory of Almaris should concern us, but this particular instance is especially egregious. The sketch above is only a very rough and probably unreliable depiction of the creature, but it is a start. This creature does not make any pretense of secrecy; it will reveal itself and it's corrupt goals without any problem. My advice is that if anyone sees this creature on the road and is ill prepared to fight it, do not engage and contact either me or another holy man. I will not rest until this so-called "seeker of God" is brought to justice and burned at the stake. For those of us who share the Canonist faith, Holy Owyn's sword is a powerful symbol not merely because of it's prowess against the dark, but what it represents to all of us who have faith in GOD: the ultimate judgment and demise of Iblees children at the sword of the Righteous. I prophesy that the destruction of this eldritch sea demon is imminent. Over the weeks I will be organizing a hunt for this particular creature. If you wish to participate in my hunt for this being, send an aviary to me in Adria or wander around the Kingdom of Aaun, as I am sure to be patrolling for other evil ones. Once again, if you come across this being alone or if you and others are ill-prepared, DO NOT ENGAGE. This creature is capable of conjuring Inferi that assume the appearance of sea creatures and he can use accursed flames to burn unprotected skin. He also bested me and a colleague at the same time. His demise will be the work of the combined efforts of descendants throughout the land, not a single hero trying to score renown. If this creature wishes to meet GOD, I have no problem sending his soul directly to him for ultimate oblivion. GOD bless all of you, and may the light of Owyn shield you from the dark ones." -Signed, Sir Phil the Righteous of Adria.
  9. In Adria, Sir Phil the Righteous, a member of the LORD's holy inquisition and protector of the lands, receives a copy of the missive and reads over it once. Once finished, he exhales loudly and places the missive on the table, then moving his gloved hand to pinch the bridge of his nose. His face reddens with annoyance. "I do not remember slaughtering innocent Dwarven children in any capacity. Too many fall prey to propaganda attempts like these. May Holy Owyn dispel these lies with the FIRE of God!" The Knight boomed, crumpling up the paper into a ball and tossing it into the fireplace. A look of satisfaction emerges upon the Knight's face as the flames flare, and the paper transforms into a charred mess.
  10. The Righteous Knight, who is charged to protect Adria, reads the opulent description of his nation's Duchess with great interest. After a few moments of silence, a smile creeps upon his stout face, followed by him slamming his gloved-fist on the table with enthusiasm. "My people are unparalleled in their class and culture. Beautiful."
  11. Phil the Righteous sighs as he reads through the missive, recounting his attempts to protect the sisters during the exorcism and stop the demon, to no avail. He stands to his feet and grabs his armaments before exiting his home. He mounts his horse and yanks it's reins, directing it towards the cathedral at Bailan, riding off into the night. "May God deliver us all from this evil. Prayer is what is needed." The Knight said as he galloped away to the holy sight to make further plans.
  12. Phil the Righteous gazes upon the paper that bears the requisite information about The Holy Inquisition. A smile manifests upon his stout countenance as he reads it, causing the Knight to look outside of his tent, catching a glimpse of his townspeople walking about. "The existence of darkspawn and the Wicked Ones allows evil to flourish; evil which threatens this very town and all others like it." Phil said as he rose to his feet, walking to his table and picking up his aurum longsword. His longsword beams with starlight energies emerging from an amethyst encrusted centered at it's cross guard and glistens in the few rays of sunlight that pierce the tent's openings. "With God and the Holy Saints as my witness, may this Sword join the effort against evil. May this sword be the bane of all DARKNESS! The Knight yelled, quickly collecting his belongings and heading out to find more information about the inquisition.
  13. The Aditean Pantheon An artistic mock-up of a lesser deity pantheon What is the Aditean Pantheon? The Aditean Pantheon are a collection of six lesser-spirits revered as deities by Aditeans, followers of the Pantheon’s chief goddess Aditea who is known as the crystal Queen of Justice. Each of these spirits are merely aspects of already-existing Greater Immoral spirits, not independent deities in themselves. In the Aditean belief, these lesser spirits reflect the teachings of their religion (shown below) and organize around Aditea for the purposes of cohesion and emphasis. However, each of these deities has their own agendas and abilities as well. The Aditean religion also recognizes this, and therefore reveres each deity on their own merit, but still emphasizes the role of Aditea as the overall matriarch of their faith. Aditeanism, or the worship of the Aditean pantheon, is currently a nomadic religion with little formal structure. The Aditeans put great emphasis on personal intuition and enlightenment over formalized dogmas or rituals. Notwithstanding the emphasis on personal revelation, Aditeanism is currently led by a spiritual leader called Adis Penweather, who goes by the title “Crystar Prophet." The Crystar Prophet is exclusively responsible for communicating the will of Aditea and the rest of the pantheon to its followers, while ultimately leading them towards connection with the pantheon and Creation as a whole. Who Are The Aditean Pantheon? Below are descriptions of the six members of the Aditean pantheon. Aditea, Queen of Justice - Lesser aspect of Velkumezt Aditea is the chief of the Aditean pantheon (bearing the title of “Queen”) and represents the ideal of justice. She specifically represents Velkumzet’s emphasis on law, bringing forth justice upon the wicked alike through divine judgments. The Aditeans venerate Aditea as the Queen of the pantheon; whenever a prayer or request is made to any other pantheon member, Aditea is necessarily included. Aditea is called the “crystal queen” for a few reasons. Justice is fundamentally a spiritual concept for the Aditeans. If one’s being is unjust, they are out of tune not simply with Earthly laws, but with divine law. If one is not in tune with Creation’s law, he rebels against reality and becomes a destructive force. Before justice can be obtained, one must seek enlightenment. Crystals, with their numerous natural and reflective properties, help one see hidden things a bit clearer. For this reason, Aditea’s crystalline depiction is said to help the devout perfect themselves on the path towards enlightenment. Aditea is said to manifest in the form of a humanoid made from quartz and other crystals, holding crystal scales in one hand and a mighty crystalline longsword in the other. Aditea is also said to bring justice to evil-doers and protection to the innocent. Exceptionally clear-sighted and even-handed, Aditea is depicted in Aditean myths as a benevolent, kind, yet stern matriarch who demands the best from all those around her - spirit and faithful alike. She is worshiped by rubbing together quartz (or any other crystal) and meditating on her likeness and principles. She can also be connected through meditation, prayer, or bathing in waters blessed by the Crystar Prophet or his underlings. Okal - Patron of Occult Studies - Lesser Aspect of Theruz For the Aditeans, enlightenment is rarely found without an encounter with magic. Magic is viewed as one of the many tools provided by the Pantheon to both study and preserve Creation - both cardinal aims of the Aditean faith. For this purpose, Aditeans petition Okal, the patron deity of occult studies, to aid them in their studies of the arcane arts. Okal is often depicted in Aditean stories as taking the form of a man with a long robe, wearing crystal headband and pointing towards the sky to symbolize enlightenment. He is presented as an intelligent man, teeming with a profound curiosity and a keen awareness of even the most difficult of subject matter. He is worshiped by burning an incense before a book of prayers or spells bearing his name. Dromond - Patron of Physical Fortitude - Lesser Aspect of Leyd The Aditean emphasis on rational enlightenment and mental fortitude does not come at the expense of a strong physical constitution. The Aditeans petition Dromond, their patron deity of strength, to aid them in strengthening their physical bodies, minds, and spirits throughout life. Dromond is depicted as a muscular man with a fist made of fire and two feet with the force to crush the strongest adversary. In Aditean myths, he is depicted as a sometimes hot-headed, but chivalrous man who is willing to defend the weakest amongst him. He can be worshiped by doing mental or physical exercises while invoking his name. Such activities are numerous and up to the creativity of the faithful: physical exercises such as jousting, archery practice, building structures, and so forth. Mental exercises such as reading, word-games, and so forth. Twia - Patron of Joy Amid Conflict - Lesser Aspect of Ublulhar All descendants require hope to steel the will against an internal foe. By calling upon the name of Twia, Aditeans renew their spirits with confidence in their personal journeys. For Aditeans, Twia’s influence is essential in maintaining equilibrium with their emotional states. Too much distress or sadness can overrun any Descendant; the warmth of Twia holds despair at bay. Twia can inspire momentary confidence or long-term hope for a distant goal. In Aditean myths, Twia is depicted as a young lady holding a flower in her hand, radiating divine warmth that manifests as yellow circles flowing off her being. Her very presence is said to cause an otherworldly joy to sweep over all in her presence. She is also seen as a happy-go-lucky woman who never accepts the odds. She can be worshiped by petitioning her and asking her to partition her grace upon the faithful. Pinfin - Lady of Moonlight on Dark Nights - Lesser Aspect of Luara The Moon is one of the grandest wonders of creation. In the darkened night, when dark spawn and other malefactors roam, the moon is the only source of light available. For this reason, the Aditeans pay homage to Pinfin, the lady of the Moon. She is depicted as a woman dressed in purplish-blue robes, her eyes like giant, luminescent moons. She is called upon during especially dark nights for protection, illumination, and balance in the heart of the faithful. She is not written about much in Aditean mythos given her very specific focus. Haldrin - Radiant Lady of Sunlight - Lesser of Aztran Every descendent feels the power of sunlight beaming upon them; even the most frigid of dark spawn cannot escape the sun’s enduring authority. The Aditeans venerate the occurrence of sunlight by acknowledging Haldrin, Radiant Lady of Sunlight. Haldrin, like Pinfin, both play minor roles in the Aditean faith. Haldrin is seen as a symbolic representation of illumination, similar to Pinfin, although Haldrin is called upon for more dire situations. She is depicted as a lady of radiant sunlight in a flowing yellow dress with hair like the sun’s rays. She can be called upon at any time by meditating near a heat source. What do Aditeans Believe? Aditeanism, unlike most religions, does not emphasize a strict dogma. Personal experience and intuition plays a huge part in the faithful Aditean’s relationship with Aditea and the pantheon. Aditeanism does emphasize a baseline of principles, however, which inform the faithful’s personal conduct and their perspective of the world. These principles are only starting points. The faithful are encouraged to use their dynamic potential as Descendants to apply Aditean precepts to every walk of life - innovate them, if need be. The only requirement is to stay true to a few basic narratives. 1. Creation is built on logos (order), and is discernible to most people. Even if this particular thought is unknown to someone, many conduct themselves according to logos. All arts in the world, magical or mundane, are governed by inescapable laws. The very notion of existence itself is governed by inescapable realities: everything grows and perishes. Descendants are finite beings who much operate within Creation’s limits. To go against these principles, as so many do through the perverse arts or other means, is to abuse creation. 2. Justice is the preservation of the logos of creation. Injustice is the abuse of creation. When injustice arises, an Aditean is charged to correct it if possible. If not, exhort Aditea for intercession. Order is not a rigid system or dogma; it is a prerequisite for all life. Order encourages creativity and dynamism, it does not stifle it. The orderly must grow in their knowledge lest they lose sight of Creation and, consequently, forsake order. 3. Enlightenment (knowledge of Creation) is essential to an Aditean. Without order, there is no justice. Without justice, there is chaos, decay, and destruction. An Aditean can only get to justice by first achieving enlightenment. As such, the magical and esoteric arts are encouraged, so long as they do not derive from Creation abuse (no dark arts of any sort). The void, contrary to many other faiths, is seen as a vast well of potential gifted to descendants by creation, not a corrupting force in the world. 4. Creation’s subjects, such as the innocent, demand the protection of all just men. Aditeans seek to protect the innocent whenever and wherever they can, provided they can do so with no great risk of danger to themselves. 5. The Aditean pantheon are spiritual models for Aditeans to reflect. They are not vindictive or vengeful deities that seek total compliance; rather, they are guides that seek to help descendants reach their full potential - within the confines of order. 6. Order without justice is tyranny; justice without order is incoherent chaos. Order is the foundation of justice, but justice is a higher principle than order. Put in other terms: order is the means of obtaining justice. 7. The prophets and priests of the faith are only guides. It is believed they are highly attuned to the Pantheon, yet they are still growing themselves. Intuition and personal relationship with the Gods is the pathway to living a just life. 8. Converting others to the faith is encouraged, but it must happen within the bounds of justice. Any attempt to convert by force is shunned and will result in immediate “trial” before the Crysar Prophet. Practices Aditeans are encouraged to study texts of all sorts as part of their faith to Aditea and the pantheon. There is no single “text” for the Aditean faith. Rather, stories are passed down through oral tradition and the notes and meditations of earlier priests/prophets of the faith. Aditeans routinely pray, fast, perform good deeds, and evangelize the messages of the Pantheon to newcomers. The number of meditations and rituals are numerous and normally specific to particular deities. Generally, however, Aditeans sit near a figurine or a symbol of the chosen deity and reflect upon it in silence. It is believed that the Gods hear the innermost reflections of one’s heart, so in essence they are holding a silent conversation with the Pantheon. Crystals, torches, staves, and other items can be used to enhance one’s worshiping experience. Aditeans have “temple” where a priest/prophet will deliver sermons, impart wisdom upon the faithful, and answer questions en masse. “Temple” can be unorthodox, however; ranging from diverse topics such as the esoteric arts, the nature of reality, the role of religion in man’s thinking, to more theological topics like the role of justice in faith, the desires of the pantheon, and so forth. Temple reflects the constant Aditean push towards enlightenment, rather than lowly indoctrination or dogma. Other than temple, the only other formal gathering observed by Aditeans is “court.” Court, playing on Aditeanism’s themes of justice, law, and order, is called for one of two purposes: A. a violator of justice is caught by an Aditean faithful in the course of their life, and brought captive to an Aditean settlement. B. An Aditean violates one of the tenets of the faith by going against justice. This “court” is overseen by the Crystar Prophet and only him, to limit the amount of political bias present in the process. The Crystar Prophet engages in an inquisitive process throughout the entire session. Should he decide the accused violated the divine Law in accordance with the Aditean faith, he will issue a proper punishment. Death or execution are reserved for the worst of the worst; those who corrupt Creation with dark magics, or who murder innocents, and so forth. Most punishments are relatively minor or rehabilitative, rather than destructive. Conversion Converting to Aditeanism is remarkably easy. A willing convert must seek our a priest or the Crystar Prophet and swear a simple oath before him: I will be a just and enlightened being, in service to the preservation of Creation’s law of justice, and a servant of it’s patron Aditea. May my actions conform forever to my words.” After uttering that phrase, a priest or the Crystar Prophet will bless the convert before Aditea and thus officially initiate them into the faith. Join the Aditean faith today! Wield the crystal sword of justice and pursue enlightenment for the betterment of our world!
  14. This is very, very well-written. Just one question: Whenever I’ve interacted with Frost Witches, they’ve always had a player-character ice construct (ivojur?). Will those be brought back as well? I think have player ice minions is an immersive element to being a Frost Witch, or any mage for that matter.
  15. +1. Excellent idea! Can’t wait to see it play out.
  16. I think this is an absolutely wonderful idea. It would be nice to have actual player-created sea creatures with their own magic, culture, and perhaps even cities under the ocean. The effect on political and magical RP would be immense (one nation wouldn’t be able to control or easily exterminate everything), and the RP would be very unique. +1 I hope this gets implemented.
  17. MC name: Boknice275 Character Name: Weatherby (Karlov) Lionheart Discord (Optional): you already have it Race: human Age: 30 (I think) Do you know any magic currently?: no Which subject do you plan to learn?: Fire Evocation, Conjuration, and defense against the dark arts Do you swear to abide by the rules of the academy?: yes.
  18. Let me remind all of you: The process of meeting or gaining information about the cult is done ICly. I would never recruit OOCly as that is metagame and makes no sense, which is why there is a provision in the application that asks how did you find out ICly? Just to dissuade those who think so from thinking that we're OOCly recruiting. We're not. After we meet ICly/you gain information ICly you apply here, simple.
  19. As night befalls the lands of Axios, you'd notice a glimmer of red light flickering aggressively in the distance. As you get closer to the source the glimmer forms into a radiant light, nearly blinding you. After closing your eyes in response to the initial shock, you'd see a statue composed of red matter infront of you. A red hooded man would approach you as you gazed upon it and would proceed to lift his fingers, which were smothered in red blood, and press them against your head to make the shape of a bestial head with two, curved horns on each side of it. "You may now enter the Crimson Lord's sanctum." He said in a monotone voice. As you walked past the hooded man and into the cave you'd see various red paintings on the stone walls, bones littered across the ground, and the infernal smell of death. You'd also see various other red hooded individuals, some bowing before effigies similar to the statue you saw when you entered, and others standing inside pentagrams and yelling dark incantations. Eventually you'd arrive upon a bearded man that sat upon a gilded throne and donned a red vest and red pants, with a leather belt strapped around his torso. He rose from his throne and his piercing, red gaze connected with yours. "Welcome, disciple-initiate. Complete this and I will assess if you are worthy of being one of our lord's faithful." He said as he handed you a piece of red paper and a quil. He directed you to a small wooden desk to the side that had a vat of red ink sitting there. The contents of the paper were as follows: Name: Race: Objective (reason for joining the cult and what you wish to accomplish): Skills: Short biography (4-5 sentences): OOC: Do you affirm that you are joining this cult to further the quality and experience of Roleplay on LordofTheCraft, and not your own personal benefit?
