  1. [!] A response was penned

"The Maheral may not take an active role in the leadership of the Silver State, but he remains present on a daily basis, and familiarises himself with each and every citizen. His leadership is completed in a more subtle design - aiding in new Mali' integration into our society, and ensuring their bloodline and mentality is pure and correct.

He is as wonderous a Maheral as the Uradir is incapable as Sohaer. Redirect your aggressions.

    - A concerned citizen"

  2. A pale-eyed elfess snorted as a stray missive came into her possession, turning to offer it to her companion,

"How ironic, they speak of growth and unity despite the immense divide between Sohaer and Council. Growth - yet they provide no room for progression for their most dedicated and loyal citizenry? The Uradir reign will only spiral the citadel into the ground. Tarnished Silver."

Her words would echo a missive she had laid eyes upon in the midst of her vacation beyond the silver state.

    SILVER STATE OF NEPOTISM

    -

Inaction and inadequacy will only lead to ruin.

First abandoned by our Sohaer during the perilous journey to Aevos, and now a new figurehead rises with a claim of ‘succession’ despite scarcely holding any presence in our city over the last few decades. Like sheep, we blindly follow.

Inaction came next. The appointment of new stations without any subsequent announcement. Tilruir that roamed the streets with knowledge of their titles and positions lost among the citizenry. Once such an issue was brought to light, only then was our ‘precious’ Sohaer’s appointment finally announced. And yet, bias wreaks havoc in the form of peculiar appointments of State.

    Okarir’akaln and Okarir’tayna.

Our newest Okarir’akaln was only previously granted the title of Tilruir for barely a year before claiming her position as Okarir instead. However, it is unfair to claim Miss Yera has not earned her place - with many contributions to the economy and markets as the Silver State’s leading merchant.

The only question resides in her length of stay within the Silver City thus far - a mere six years. Not even a decade, and yet the position of Okarir is granted.

Perhaps even worse, the position of Okarir’tayna has been granted to a woman barely known by the current populace - after a mere two years maximum of random wanderings. No display of magicks or magickal knowledge has been shown, thus her very credentials to fulfill such a post, regardless of her time spent within the City itself, are something of a question.

What is the meaning of these appointments?

Our City is surely to come to ruin when such new individuals are granted Okarir over citizenry and Tilruirs that have resided for far longer. Let us not appreciate and encourage the work of our Tilruir’tir and Tilruir’hiylun, but instead promote those who have yet to breach little more than an Elven Month among our ilk.

If these appointments are anything to go by, under the Uradir’s reign our Silver State is doomed by bias and nepotism.

  4. In a distant land, whilst on vacation, a pale-eyed elfess would simply snort,

"An announcement that has taken far too long to make. Inaction must be met with inaction, lest they never realise their own inadequacy. Our vacation may be ending sooner than we thought"

She would call across the room to a taller elf, passing him the missive

If player 2 wants to run from player 1, they must decide to flee BEFORE pulling out their weapon or any other "attack" (casting magic, etc) to engage in combat.

I'm assuming the decision to flee is communicated as either a fleeing emote, or an OOC statement? The way it is currently worded is very vague and free-form? Could you amend it to have a more specific accepted method of 'making a decision'?

  6. 2 block tall flowers are currently unharvestable

    ferns / grass etc.

    moss blocks + carpet

Amethyst is on the island, but lacks a node.

Coral block nodes all give the blue coral, no variance.

No fern / horned coral nodes

^^Off the top of my head.

If you would like to DM either of us on Discord to provide us with more accurate descriptions, please do so and we will update them asap! My discord is Amayonnaise#0895 and Java's is topsituation. Thank you!

The screenshot provided addresses only settlement guides and wikis, and it shows that three days was not enough time to allow these groups to make an updated settlement guide or wiki page. It shows because this post links to a subforum, settlement guides that are probably on average about 2 years old, and wiki pages which aren't ordinarily updated anyway unless a monarch dies, or someone is on a binge to write many paragraphs about something they remembered a few weeks to a few months ago.

That message I screenshot explained what the post would entail, including the brief description. Updated Wiki + Forum links can easily be added after the fact, and any inaccurate descriptions can just as easily be amended. I cannot speak on the accuracy of their descriptions as my focus was on ensuring the Nation Hub on the wiki was updated, and keeping in touch with NL's who wished to design and create their wiki page - which will be a project of at least a few weeks.

We quite literally @'d all Nation leaders and Settlement leaders, and had a number of them respond to us discussing plans for their wikis and settlement guides, which I discussed with them, and amended the Nations & Major Settlements hub page on the wiki to be updated with the current Nations. Java could have simply made this post with the available resources, but I sent that message to involve the NL's as a group, and several did respond.

This quite honestly is not a large issue. Amendments can very easily be made, and I have personally offered to update wikis and help with settlement guides. The offer was extended to all NL's.

  9. @Crevel Hello! We did!

This message was posted a few days ago in the main LOTC discord, and we had a few people reach out to discuss their wiki / settlement guides etc. Java has also stated that the Nations are welcome to reach out if they would like anything altered on the post, so if anything is incorrect please encourage them to reach out to Java! We already tried to contact them.

  10. Absolutely in love with this rewrite, especially DEEP STRIDE!!

Have always wondered how Druids are supposed to help and heal the oceans and deep lakes when they are oxygen-requiring mortals? Would love to see this take off, with some more ocean-themed spells in the future (perhaps future rewrites!) Maybe we could look into air-breathing enchantments useable only for ST eventlines underneath the ocean? So many possibilities!

    Huge +1

  11. Hello! This is something the CT have been actively aware of + discussing with the Tech Team.

Unfortunately, (as far as I am aware), we can't implement a proper change until all Discord accounts have been changed to the new format. Discord is rolling out the changes in waves, which is hindering the process a little bit.

Until that time comes, we have simply been manually assigning roles in the Discord when required - I will see if I can get a small announcement thrown out about this issue.

  12. I like the idea of adding a religion card to personas. I do not think this system should be implemented, beyond aesthetic purposes. Getting a special relic from eventlines with aesthetic effects would also be very neat, but I don't trust players to be running around with fire aspect swords. If these relics are purely RP, why do they need mechanical effects?

I also would honestly love to see a persona card format for Nations themselves, in which the current Ruler/s, Religion, Religious Leader + Council staff etc. are all listed. You could make it super adjustable, so Nation Leaders could add in the name of each title + the player:
    Koeng: Sigismund
    High Princess: Idril Sylvaeri
    Steward: Dyonne

    etc. etc.

I think this would add a neat little flair to Nations + their regions, and would provide more assistance to new players, or players new to communities, who need door/gate perms, a house, or to join the guardforce. They could simply run /nationcard, and see which player/s to contact, rather than having to jump through hoops finding a discord, contacting x amount of people, etc.

  13. Strangely enough, the odd missive fluttered upon the winds and eventually found itself within the balcony of the Sunlit Druidess' abode. A ginger brow perked, stepping across the floor to collect and examine the missive. A huff escaped. Quickly penning a response, a letter would soon return to the youth in carefully neat writing;

    "Your Royal Highness,

I am perhaps not the one intended to receive such a request, however your spirit for adventure has lured my interest regardless. I am Avyndriel, Druidess of the Sun, and I would be most delighted to accompany you upon your travels.

My resume consists of several decades spent within the War Sect of Tahariae's Clerics, thus I am an adequate healer and feller of darkspawn. I am also a scholar of near three centuries, thus you can be certain my knowledge is expansive and well suited for the multitudes of queries you may have.

If you are content with having an elder elfess as a companion, I will prepare for my travel to Balian immediately. Payment will not be required, as merely being in the presence of the Queen of Cool is more than enough.

    - Avyndriel Vaeloryïs"
