The loss of a pet resonates with us as I could only imagine losing my own St. Otto Spaniel Slavomir or Heaven forbid my favourite crow Gorman. THE PRINCELY BAND OF SAINT TUVYA THE GOODFELLOWS IN BLUE HISTORY OF SAINT TUVYA Saint Tuvya of Rosemoor, otherwise known in Heartlandic lands as Saint Tobias, born Tuvya Sigismund Barrow. Saint Tuvya was the illegitimate son of Exalted Sigismund and Lorin Chivay of Kaedrin. Raised in a Kaedreni orphanage, Tuvya came from humble origins and little means but worked with what knowledge he had of his mother to piece together his paternity. He presented himself to his father with evidence to his claims and was accepted by the Exalted with open arms to help with Sigismund’s plans of revitalising Oren. Tuvya was commonly called ‘Rosebud’ across the Empire in reference to his mother’s house, Chivay, whose family Coat of Arms displayed a white rose. Tuvya was known by another name in turn; Brother Blue, in reference to his piety and humble care of commoners before his ascension to the Imperial throne. Tuvya was crowned Emperor following the death of his son, Emperor Boris I, who had been elected to the position amongst the nobility following the brief twelve year reign of the House of Chivay. Boris I died without issue, and being of two Imperial bloodlines, Tuvya was the most obvious successor having returned from his voyages. He was characterised in his time as Emperor by his devout faith and is remembered for the patronage he gave the Church throughout his reign. He gave the single largest donation to the church up until that point in what became the historic ‘Donation of Tobias’ which saw him grant swathes of land to the Church as well as a large sum of money. After thirteen years as the imperial monarch, Tuvya abdicated to another of his sons, Aleksandr, and devoted the remainder of his life to fighting against the forces of undeath. He died some forty years later, remaining ever faithful, at the age of one-hundred and twelve and having lived a full, eventful and pious life. Tuvya was later canonised as Saint Tuvya, or Saint Tobias, in Octavus Aurea Bulla Helenam for his two verified miracles. The first of these came when a man who was surrounded by undead monsters was about to be struck down. A bright light shone from the heavens and took the form of Saint Tuvya. The apparition of the saint raised a hand and with it each of the undead were vanquished. Saint Tuvya disappeared after and the man survived. His second miracle occurred when a church in the countryside was being besieged by demonic forces and the laity inside prayed to be saved despite the hopelessness of the situation. It was then that a blue ribbon flew through an open window and floated throughout the hall on a supernatural breeze. It guided the people within to a hidden door that allowed them to flee from the demons without a single life lost. TENETS OF THE BAND CHARITY At the heart of the Band’s tenets is to follow in the image of the patron Saint of Benefactors with good Canonist charity. Those in the Band of Saint Tuvya do not act with selfish intentions but with the goal of bettering the God given countries of the world. We recall the famed ‘Donation of Tobias’ and in his example we commit ourselves to providing assistance in numerous ways to those in need and as a way to express our love of God through charity. The Band of Saint Tuvya will provide a range of services to the needy, impoverished, and defenceless. Some of the most frequent or important charitable acts for the Band to undertake are: Assisting in burials for Canonists who would otherwise not receive one; Volunteering in hospitals across the continent and applying our knowledge of healing to the sick and wounded wherever they may be; Preparing bread used for religious holidays and for the hungry wherever we might come across them; Offering our assistance where it can be afforded, whether that be aiding in a battle against darkspawn or offering patronage and selfless labour to humble farmers, merchants or any Canonist who could use the help. COMRADERY As is natural when working towards a common goal and in the name of God and the patron Saint Tuvya, members of the Band will inevitably grow close and form lifelong bonds. This group of likeminded people intend to make use of this and encourage comradery so that friendships may be fostered and a trust between members can be built up early. This is essential for carrying out the good work the Band of Saint Tuvya wishes to accomplish. A sense of community amongst Canonists fostered can only be a good thing as well as promoting collaboration between them from all walks of life. Those familiar with one another can play to their strengths and have their companions cover their shortcomings when the time calls for it. For those who are fortunate enough to be heirs or heiresses to or find themselves in a position of power in the future, the bonds made in the Band will serve you well for the entirety of your life. Even those not necessarily of noble stock can make use of these bonds, finding more gainful employment from Tuvyan comrades or just simply finding more people willing to make themself useful in whatever you wish to achieve in life. DEVELOPMENT The Band of Saint Tuvya pays particular attention to one of the Grand Prince Karl’s most ambitious intentions; the development of the Haeseni countryside and travel routes that will appease God and revere His saints adequately along the way. Though based within the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, the Band intends to work across all of Canondom and should other Canonist princes and peoples wish for their aid help will be offered. Some of the goals amongst the group in terms of infrastructure is the erection of shrines to the beatified and canonised of the Holy Church along major pilgrimage paths as well as the establishment of chapels and churches in areas otherwise lacking in spots for worship. To ensure that these are readily accessible, and for the greater connectedness of the nation, a system of roads will have to be marked out and settled at the expense of the Grand Prince. Aside from the man-made buildings and routes of travel, no God given country is properly Canonist without preserving the spots of natural beauty that The Creator has imbued this world with. It will be the solemn duty of the Band of Saint Tuvya to not only maintain these areas but also work their green thumbs to bring them more to the forefront. Scouting out glades, glens, mountains, rivers and wherever else might provide a site to behold, the Band is resolute in seeking these places out and making something of them or tidying them up for pilgrims on their way through the country. PILGRIMAGE The overarching purpose of the Band's good works would be to culminate one day in a path for pilgrimage that scales across the entirety of Canondom. A dream where pilgrims visit every major holy site and observe every relic they can with the picturesqueness of nature highlighted along the way. Until that day comes it is the Band of Saint Tuvya’s goal to likewise embark on pilgrimages across the continent and protect pilgrims along the way where they can. It is important to undertake these journeys for self reflection and in order to encounter God where he has revealed himself, where his light has graced the world in splendour and holiness, so we might be inspired to act devoutly in all things. Pilgrimages strengthen the spirit. In tandem with the Band’s tenet of development there exists a will to establish shrines, chapels and churches for precise purposes. Keeping the relevance of a saint or blessed’s patronage to specific aspects, it is the Band of Saint Tuvya’s intentions to create pilgrimage routes designed to inspire certain deeds and thoughts. Such as with a path devoted to Saint Rudolph, patron saint of redemption, for those seeking to redeem themselves or a pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Nicolas the Martyr, patron saint of armourers, when inspiration is needed for forging a masterpiece. Alternatively seeking out the Grand Prince or another of the members of the Band of Saint Tuvya to arrange a time to meet is more than agreeable. My favourite part is hard. I did really love our like peasant town hall build where we held meetings but I think when we took part in the Scyfling Invasion eventline and dressed up as Scyflings to infiltrate them and burn down their fleet of longships was a real highlight.

1) I have played quite a few orcs over the years but the highest I ever made it was to Warchief/Wargoth and Yazgurtan. If I were to play one again though somewhere down the line I'd be more than happy to fill a leadership position if the roleplay kind of lends to it and is something I was interested in pursuing/the best candidate for. 2) Old LotC and modern LotC are almost unrecognisable in some ways. I will say that discord has probably caused the biggest change across the board and in a lot of ways not for the better. Pair that with the metaplay stuff which I think is so unspecific and all encompassing that basically anyone could be guilty of varying degrees of it and be banned for it then you've got a perfect storm in my opinion. Aside from that the OOC drama that seems so pervasive these days wasn't anywhere near as prevalent back like 6 years ago. Sure old LotC had its major issues, can't deny that, but people tend to paint the whole period with the same brush because of the toxicity and racist jokes (and sometimes not jokes) that occurred which absolutely shouldn't be allowed. It's not 2014 anymore and we do know better in that regard. But we ignore some of the things we did better I feel. Rules were fairly easy to comprehend and you didn't need an old head or someone in a vc to overly explain how to do everything, pvp wasn't as complicated and rule bound and it still worked out with less hassle than it does now, and honestly staff teams old systems were better. I don't have an issue with anyone in particular on the ST but just to use them as an example. When I was on Event Team (which was the precursor to ST along with Lore Team) I found the whole system of putting on events just functioned better. Whole communities weren't largely ignored and a sort of quota was in place and managers did keep an eye on what you were doing but you didn't have to run everything by them. It was far more free to do as you liked as long as you didn't touch the big stuff like dragons, aenguls, etc. I think right now an overbearing system of rules bogs down the ST and combining ET and LT together into one team was a wrong step in my opinion because nobody has any clue if someone is really meant to be doing events and if they actually are putting them on fairly consistently or if they are writing lore behind the scenes. There's not a lot of transparency there like there used to be. So yeah tl;dr - discord has shifted things to the more OOC side of LotC and I'm not overly fond of the current organisation of staff teams which I feel were better back then, a lot of things seemed like they were changed for the sake of change to look like something was happening. 3) My favourite animal is a Red Deer Stag and controversially I like arm day the least out of the cardio/core, leg, and arm days of which I do each one once per week. Bench press is mainly what I do on arm day with 5 minutes on the rower and then alternate between sets of 10 pushups and sets of 10 ring rows for warmup before doing the press. I do 10 sets of 10 at increasing weight which right now I was sitting at I think 50 kg this week I then do jumping pullups until I burn out and then finish the day. I will reiterate though, I dislike arm day the most and it's my worst. Honestly, I'm not really opposed to playing any race. All of them have their purpose and fulfil a niche I just have a thing of when I start playing a character I like to have an idea in mind of roughly what I'd like them to be like or do as a profession so I have something different to work off of. I need a bit of inspiration for the character is what I'm kind of getting at but I think it's easy to find if you give it some thought and come up with how you could roleplay something interesting about a character based on a quirk, job or even their race if it's a more niche one. I need to have a look at it again honestly if it's on the museum or not I can't remember. I am actually not big into football, I like rugby far more but if I had to pick it'd probably be Rangers but largely because they're just the more popular team in the town I'm from. I think we're just bad because we've got a smaller population by a lot than England and I don't think we put as much effort into teaching/practicing it at school, not properly anyway it's mainly a piss about.
