In-Character Information - Name: Beatrice Felstead Sex: Female Race: Human Age: 18 years old Biography: Beatrice was born into a poor family, living in Courland. Her father was an unsuccessful hunter and firm advocator and believer in Canonism. The meat he brought home to sell was their only income. Beatrice’s mother fell sick 2 years after she was born. After giving birth to her little sister, Edwina, her mother passed away when Beatrice was only 9. After her mother’s passing, Beatrice found herself being the primary carer for her little sister, her father never being home. He spent his nights at the pub and his days asleep from the drunken haze the night before. Beatrice grew strong, knowing her little sister’s life was in her hands only. She cared for Edwina like she was her own child. After Beatrice’s 15 birthday, when her sister was only 6, Edwina fell sick like her mother. Beatrice carried on, her father’s presence becoming more and more distant. Edwina passed away a year later. After Edwina passed away, Beatrice was completely alone in the world. Her father now stayed out for days on end, coming home the night after and collapsing, a drunken heap. He didn’t say a word to Beatrice, he blamed her for the deaths of her mother and sister, as she was the only one there to look after them. After months of starving, alone at home, Beatrice decided to leave. This was no longer the town for her. She packed a bag, snatched her father’s old hunting knife and grabbed the last rations of food she could find. The last thing she packed was her mother’s old drawing book, a leather-bound, thick, worn book, that Beatrice treasured as it was the only thing she had left. She then left the small town, seeking shelter in trees. She learnt how to fight, and grew strong as her nature from being alone for so long. She now has come across the land of Felsen, its lush environment and embracing culture standing out to Beatrice. Personality Traits: Strong willed, stubborn, hotheaded, caring, afraid to let people in, scared they will hurt her/leave her again, strong temper, sarcastic Ambitions: Beatrice wants to be able to love again, to trust again. She wants to grow a family in this new land and know what belonging/fitting in really feels like. Strengths/Talents: Beatrice is naturally skilled in fighting, hunting, and arguing. She has a hot temper to guide her as well and enjoys anything physical. Along with her strong nature, Beatrice also has the unexpected talent for drawing and sketching. She gets this from her mother. Weaknesses/Inabilities: One of Beatrice’s major weaknesses is her short temper. She tends to overreact and be consumed by her emotion. Beatrice also struggles to let anyone get too close because of her past. She wants to overcome this fear but is scared people will abandon her. She is also extremely unskilled at cooking. Appearance: Beatrice is short and slim, her petite appearance often deceiving people into thinking she’s innocent and incapable. She has strong, dark brown eyes and long mousy brown hair, often scraped up into a messy sort of bun at the back of her head.
