can someone argue in favor of nation leaders and the immediate orbiters around them having positions as staff? Is that not a conflict of interests? Genuinely curious, not trying to stir the pot. I’m open to hearing arguments in favor of such because I can’t think of any myself – but present the case and I may very well change my mind! Thanks lads.

You’re genuinely not stopping bias by accepting people who are ‘nation leaders’ or ‘immediate orbiters’. You will curb immediate abuse directly to their personas, but everyone is nation aligned and will most likely lean bias towards them no matter what. Even if they’re a small fish or a big fish. It’s a restriction that does nothing but limit the people who can get on staff, removing the ability for people who have known skills at gathering people in communities and running them from staff really hamstrings potential candidates.

@argonian Actually I believe the ban was only against NLs being in moderation. As far as I’m aware, NLs could, and still can, be apart of other staff teams if they wish. I know that as of late, quite a few NLs have been on the World Team. Kaelan with Irrinor, Architectus with Oren, Mickael with Urguan, it’s become pretty standard recently to take NLs onto the World Dev team.
