Ito elSanlienan To the errands and dealings of upstart scribes Taliyu'lin is not privy, and their quills are unheeded by its bidding or counsel. The Silver City of Taliyu’lin does not endorse, nor support, the use of the elven Haelun’or in reference to its halls. Elesia Elervathar, moored by hope and given overmuch to remembrance of the noontide of high elves, short in tail of years and in memory too brief, erred in her yearning and bethunk of things of her youth and gladness, passed long beyond recall. Let her beholden blameless in her misgivings, unlearned as she is in the reckonings of today, for while Motherland in truth our haven is to the weary and wise, in her purpose too eager she forgot that Taliyu'lin is the name lain upon our halls. Yet the words of her calling let not echo empty, and her bequeathed wisdom counsel and guide us, that our hands may not find rest until the shadow which has of late laid heavy gloom upon our people be riven. Her missive, and any known copies, have been edited to better reflect her sentiment, and the trespasses she has made have thus been revealed to her. Our sundered people have weathered countless toils, and though gloom gathered and the heart grew oft weary upon our long and winding path, hope was never wholly forlorn. Ever there came to us, like a ray of light through a clouded sky, the kindness of those who lent their solace, and through it lightened the burdens of our wandering. For this grace so idly given and the unfaltering trust and hope, to gladden those who laboured, and to honour the pillars of faith unbroken, we are to host in Taliyu'lin a celebration of its hallowed halls, freshly carven of stone. Chief stands amongst the flames of hope, however, one whose craft surpasses even the fairest telling: Korvec Alemnir, mason of Lareh'thilln, Karinah'siol, Asul’hileia, Tahn'miar, Siramide and now Taliyu'lin. It is in gratitude for his tireless devotion and the beauty of his works marble-hewn that we shall name this festival. The Address of elMaheral The Maheral Silvos Sythaerin shall address the Blessed Citizenry, declaring the way forward, and honouring the efforts of those who served in the construction of the Silver City of Taliyu’lin. [Sunday, 3pm EST, 20:00 BST] Wine Tasting The bottles shall arrive unlabelled, their origins unspoken. Only the most discerning of palates may hope to find the answer within the glass. We invite you to bring your keenest senses, lliran, and to test your connoisseurship against the unknown. [Sunday, 4pm EST, 21:00 BST] Snail Race The Haelunorian Association of Snail Racing will arrange the first official snail race of the new Taliyu’lin track. Beginners to the sport will be given their own first snail to begin their career in the Haelunorian Snail League. [Sunday, 4pm EST, 21:00 BST] Tea Party As we reminisce upon our recent achievements and upon the events of days prior, we shall partake in an elaborate tea party: we hope to provide a full spread of carefully selected teas and delicate accompaniments, each pairing offering a number of unique flavours and confections. Though there is no specific dress code required, lliran, you are certainly encouraged to attend in the finest garb you may have. [Sunday, 5pm EST, 22:00 BST] AY’PUERAN; Sohaer Veralya Wynasul, Laurir of the Wynasul Talonnii

{Art by Klaus Wittmann} “With all its luster and Blessedness, even elcihi’thilln will tarnish, with time, without care. It is the Children of Silver who must tend to its spires and make its Silver glisten: Progress.” Malaurir Lelien Lazul To the sundered sons and daughters of Silver, The tarnish begotten of the follies of Siramide is washed by the toils you weathered and burdens you bore. The thin and frail flame of hope is rekindled. By the labour of our masons has been wrought of carven stone a home anew, their chisels echoing with your hardships. Far in the Western lands now shines Taliyu'lin. To the scattered Mali’thill, Larihei beckons you to come home, and her call to heed is our charge. To restore what diminished and to give the world its memory and knowledge that is ours to steward. Heed the call, and together write this new chapter in our centuries old and storied history. AY’PUERAN; Sohaer Veralya Wynasul, Laurir of the Wynasul Talonnii [!] The letters are sent to the members of recognised Haelunorian families and former residents of the Enclave of Len’miruel. “Follow the path of Silver: Tuva thill ilumr'ne, Tuva'ne avernan avereyae, All that is pure does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost, Thilln arhil ullr'ne, Fenn maraellan oment'ne. Silver that is true does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. Uvul'igne'onn igne parsaer'eh, Khel'onn sul lent'eh, From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring, Lom'lin fiyem'eh, Lomi'taliynaan welieryem'eh. Realms / Settlements Type (Realm or Settlement): Settlement Leader MC Name: Amuletic Leader Character Name: Veralya Wynasul Realm/Settlement Name: Taliyu'lin Realm/Settlement ID (all lowercase and underscores): helves Primary Realm/Settlement Color: aqua Proposed Capital Tile / Region Location (Highlight 3 on the map): Lore: ANCIENT HISTORY Historians are not quite sure if it was chance, fate, or perhaps even destiny that led the Silver Lady and her disciples to a natural phenomenon that changed the very course of history forever. What began the very concept of Haelun’or was Larihei and her people, who split off from the Kingdom of Malin after facing persecution. It was then that they were led to new beginnings in the mountainous caverns of the ancient world. In these caves, the Golden Pools were discovered. This oasis of safety for the followers of Larihei slowly began to change them, attuning the mali’aheral to the arcane through constant exposure to its waters. This reliance on the waters of magegold bore effects on not only the arcane nature of the high elves, but also physical changes as well. In time, their features took on a heightened brilliance, their hair and eyes catching light in ways that seemed almost unnatural, while their skin carried a soft, inner luminosity not seen in the unenchanted. These changes brought about by the golden pools were considered a blessing, and were henceforth sought to be protected through the ideas of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya is a defining idea of Haelun’orian phulosophy, and was begun in these ancient times. Maehr’sae, meaning progress, ensured stagnation did not settle in the minds of the mali’thill. This was all too common in past regimes, and not making use of the blessing for all it had to offer would spell disaster for the mali’thill. Hiylun, meaning health, was ensuring the physical body was uncorrupted by dark influences. This includes the soul, and ensures such forces may not corrupt those who hold the enchantment. RECENT HISTORY It was in recent times, when under the High Kingdom of Idunia, dark forces sought to overtake the city. Led astray by these influences, many citizenry were fooled into living a normal life upon the surface. However, beneath the ground, darkness crept in. A cabal of practitioners of the dark arts sought to corrupt the high elven minds that roamed the city. Though it was successful to some degree, the entire operation was seized by not only the Tar of Idunia, but the Emperor of The Empire of Man. During a routine check of the city, they had discovered the secret base of operations of such cabal. It was then that the Emperor ordered the execution of every man, woman, and child who attended the court event. Afterwards, regardless of affiliation with such a cabal, all mali’thill were deemed kill-on-sight in any Empire-affiliated lands. With little hope, Sohaer Laerean managed to preserve the Eternal Library and put together the Silver Enclave of Len’miruel. With ancient knowledge preserved, the remnants of Haelun’or slowly pieced themselves back together. Hiding out in various cities, in fear of persecution for crimes unknown to many of the population, mali’thill met under cover of night. Birds were the only carriers of messages, handwritten letters ensured only the eyes of ‘thill would be able to see invitations to secret events hosted by the Enclave. It was through these meetings, the mali’thill reconfigured, and Elmalauriran alongside Elmaheral appointed Veralya Wynasul as Sohaer. It was through the leadership of Maheral Silvos and Sohaer Veralya Wynasul that a temporary foothold for The Silver Enclave of Len’miruel was established under the Horde. In doing so, they fought for their survival in the desert heat. The grand magic of the ancient Maheral brought about a city reminiscent of the ancient days of Haelun’or, and policy was no different. It was here where former associates of the cabal were sentenced to banishment, and the population began steps on restoring the fundamental ideals of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya amongst the young generation. Here is a helpful graphic to explain! Maheral The Maheral acts as the moral head of state, upholding standards adherent to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya (Progress and Health). This role primarily serves to uphold the culture of Haelun’or, being responsible for the Lauriran (council of talonniian) Sohaer The Sohaer acts as the political head of state, leading and overseeing all matters within the state. They are directly responsible for the Silver Council, and preside over everyday matters of ensuring a thriving state. Elheial’malauriran This council is made up of the maheralan and sohaeran of times past, entrusted with overseeing the function of Haelun’or in line with Larihei’s vision Elheial’thilln The Okariran form Elheial’thilln. They are delegated power by the Sohaer over different aspects of Haelun'or and hold the entirety of responsibility over these complex aspects of government. Tilruiran Each Council member has at least one Tilruir which will assist them in their duties and may act in their absence. Capital / Settlement Build Concepts (photos of assets / layout / inspiration required): Lin’evaral Lareh’thilln Karinah’siol Asul'hileia Siramide How does this realm/settlement offer a unique niche not already found in an existing polity on the server?: Haelun’or fills, and always has, the ethereal, high-fantasy niche. Its culture and elitism, though often antagonistic, create an interesting dynamic for both those seen as traditional and the citizens. Through its institutions and customs, its approach is one vastly unique to roleplay, focusing on scholarly affairs and research, whilst also giving new perspectives to guilds of players. For example,city-guards, which, in Haelun’or, are given a new dimension, are forced to abide by both the morals of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya and the need to defend the city. This is just one example of how Taliyu'lin will help provide a new niche to the current dynamic of the server, whilst also accommodating existing groups of players and allowing them to adapt to the culture. How does your realm/settlement tie to the greater lore and narrative set by the community on LotC?: Given the long history of Haelun’or on LotC, it ties into the greater lore through its vast encounters with different groups from the very beginning of the server. From some of the earliest maps, there has been some iteration of Haelun'or established independently or otherwise. It's also worth mentioning that Haelun'or has served as a racial hub for high elves, an elven subrace in lore, for generations. Haelun’or re-establishing is a natural progression in the narrative built over the past few months of rp as well, with both the original Idunian vassal and the Horde vassal serving to further progress the narrative of a soon-independent settlement of the mali'thill. With increasing external pressures preventing the settlement of high elves in existing nations, it makes the most logical sense for the mali'thill to go independent. Have you ever run a realm/settlement on LotC before and what experience does your group have with leadership within roleplay communities? Yes, I, personally, ran the realm of Talar’nor in 2023 and was heavily involved in the Haelun’or council in 2024. Haelun’or has been a nation/realm/vassal/etc. for many years, and many players within the community have been in and out of leadership. Overall, a main focus for our community and us as of late has been creating a place where narrative is collaborative and grounded in good faith. This extends to leadership, and it is most important that community leaders exhibit the traits we wish to see in the wider community. Do you understand the metrics for upkeep, maintaining activity, and the grounds for realm/settlement removal? Yes, these standards are understood.

MALI’FENN The Escaped Snow Elves of Krugsmas BACKGROUND As far back to the Four Brothers, Krugsmas has cemented itself among populations ancient and modern as a celebration of giving. Gifts of plenty brought about by Father Krug, joyousness brought about even in times of desperate struggle… Yet, many fail to realize the efforts that go into every celebration of such a holiday. Deep in the tundra lie a factory in wait, filled with elves who, for generations, made this “magic” possible. The magic of Krugsmas was brought about through the underpaid labor of snow elves. In conditions in which only the strongest survive, a job passed down through the same lineage of elves forever separated the mali’fenn from their fellow subraces in isolation. Even though it seemed all was going according to plan, something was brewing… The first Fennic Rebellion in Anthos. A small group of snow elves left one early morning in a bloody rebellion, following the north star out of the tundra. Led by their glorious leader, the first true mali’fenn, Jaen’gle Fundrak, these snow elves rode upon reindeer to a new frontier. Only ancient rumours could capture how brutal the tundra was on the ‘fenn. It took many weeks of hunting and surviving in the winter desert. They even needed to sacrifice some reindeer they took with them, including brave souls Rud’oulf, Daencaer, and Praencaer. Through much resilience, the snow elves appeared amongst the other descendant races, reunited with their elven brethren. However, such a reunion could never make up for the time spent in isolation. Famously, many attempts to reclaim the snow elven workers were made by the coalitions of Father Krug, the magic of Krugsmas slowly slipping away as fewer and fewer gifts were able to be circulated around the (canonical) Flat World. This resulted in generations of mali’fenn executed for the crime of not generating shareholder value for Father Krug. In a desperate attempt to save what was left of the few snow elves remaining, they would all begin crying out, the sheer volume of tears almost manifesting the tearful Aengul himself, Wyrvun. He would take pity upon them, removing their enforced biological need to create gifts wrapped with little bows, allowing them to live as ‘normal’ elves. A depiction of Wyrvun being so cool and freeing the snow elves from their eternal chains of gift-making After being freed from their mortal chains, the snow elves would begin to take up other interests. War, battle, and strategy dominated their lives after years of being silenced. This resulted in the grand nation of Fenn arising, and inspiring many generations after to rebel similarly to the first mali’fenn. It is even rumored that during Atlas, the true reason the world began to freeze was from Father Krugsmas as revenge on the mali’fenn who escaped his factory, being the first consumed from the frost. Perhaps it was mere chance the snow elves escaped that day, yet since its happening, many iterations of the newly formed mali’fenn have appeared. From Fenn, to the Fennic Remnants, to the Archonic system seen in Azuras, the snow elves are defined by the same resilience they exhibited in the tundras of Krugsmas. Many of their traditions of hunting and camping are reminiscent of the struggles they endured throughout the tundra after escaping the factories of Krug. PHYSICAL TRAITS Because of an extended period in factories without sunlight, the snow elves tend to have shorter heights and lighter hair and eye colors from many of their elven brethren. This includes silver, white and blonde hair alongside blue, purple, and grey eyes being common. Their extended period of time in the tundra makes them stockier and more muscular than many other elven variants, as such a build was necessary to survive harsh winters. BEHAVIOR Due to their extended time in Krugsmas factories away from other elves throughout ancient times, they never grew close to their elven brethren during the Kingdom of Malin. Though reunited, things would never be the same. Because of this, the snow elves tend to stray away from other elves, instead finding refuge on their own or as mercenaries. Their allegiances are not to one subrace, but based entirely upon past actions and minae. Aside from this, the mali’fenn are some of the most resilient elves amongst the other subraces. Their mentality is entirely defined by their time in factories and within the tundra. The snow elves often undertake a survivalist mindset as opposed to a more expansionist one due to their existence nearly constantly being under threat. This influences the martial lifestyle many undertake, defined by collective success as opposed to personal success. RELIGION The mali’fenn are a deeply religious people and devoted to Wyrvun for saving them from their eternal obligation to Father Krug. Because of this, they have many ways of honoring Wyrvun, with Wyrvun worship being an integral part of snow elven society. To pay reverence to the god who freed them from their eternal obligation to Father Krug, they often go on solitary treks into the wilderness to show devotion to the Aengul.

[PLAYER EVENT] FASHION WITHOUT FRONTIERS
Amuletic replied to pexchysa's topic in The Most Serene Barony of Cerulia
As her gaze found the invitations section of the missive, Veralya Wynasul's eyes widened slightly "Huh..." Her brows furrowed, as she went to re-read the section. The elfess then remarked "Well. This is sure to be interesting. I suppose art often does prevail, even in dark times." A small smile found its way on her face, as she packed away the missive. -
An ivory hand grasped the missive, and for a brief moment, the world faltered. Silver rested at her throat and circled her wrists, dulled by dust and sun, catching what little light the world still offered. Ornaments too delicate for these foreign lands, much like the mali’thill herself. This desert, which granted her only temporary respite, pressed its heat against a being shaped for kinder winds. And yet, she endured. Veralya Wynasul read in silence, golden eyes unblinking, her expression marked by quiet reverence. Or perhaps fear. She remained still, paralyzed in the face of her destiny penned in a single missive. Yet within that silence lived a gentler truth. The elfess had seen what the world was, and despite this, she still believed in what it could become. “Fear has kept us alive. Hardship taught us how to endure. But neither defines what we could be… It is settled. I will begin, and our people will see what has always been within us. Asul lente karinto.” The parchment trembled beneath her sun-warmed skin, heavy with the weight of what had been penned in ink. Fate spoke again, and once more, it requested her service.
-
A figure cloaked in silk and dripping in silver stood alone near the water's edge. Veralya Wynasul held the missive loosely in her hand, the tide breaking where she waited, the wind pulling at her sleeves. “Haelun’or will return in its full glory soon enough,” she foretold, looking out to the empty shore before her. “Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.”
-
With wide golden eyes, Veralya Wynasul stared down the missive, her voice curling with venom as she muttered, "kae Len'miruel lye luere ernane’iyathe. ethane ito haelun’or, hiuwyeme’ehya keno ilullytn." Her composure fraying, the 'thill forced a breath through her teeth, slamming the parchment sharply onto a nearby table "mali’ataanleh alliman maelueyae keno. naean'leh tuva'alliman maelueyae keno.
-
Veralya Wynasul's eyes traced the missive with a cautious gaze, a remark slipped under her breath "lye lyuerne. asul lente karin'ento."
-
The golden eyes of a certain mali'thill read over the missive, her ivory hands clutching the paper with a newfound intensity "andria ethne. mali’thillan anah’hiuweyae ker’ento aelchikranan'ehya maliearnan cinheh." The parchment bent under her tightened grip, yet Veralya Wynasul continued to murmur her thoughts aloud "iyl’talieloran lye ern’olyuer iyathae. ehya lye lyuerne." And with that, she set the missive in a folder, humming to herself: "Asul lente karin'ento. Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya"

IN REGARDS TO ARCANE AFFAIRS “Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya” As Okarir’mali, I call all blessed citizenry to gather in the assembly hall to discuss a topic that has long needed input: arcane affairs within the silver city. Darkspawn is, and always will, threaten the sanctity of purity. Yet, what defines dark spawn has long been debated, and setting clear standards in our laws with input from the Citizenry is essential. The use of various magic must be regulated, yet allow for progress in our society. And thus, a public forum will be held covering the following topics. TOPICS What forms of magic are currently the largest threat to our silver society? How should we adjust the current law to reflect all threats in our lands? Are there regulations to be made in the alchemical arts as well? [[OOC: FRIDAY DECEMBER 13th @ 3:00 PM EST]] AY’PUERAN; Medi’ir Veralya Wynasul, Matriarch of the Wynasul Talonnii
