  1.  “This is the first I’ve seen from any REX, to forge such a document.... or a document at all – especially to request an audience with druids?” Erasto would drum his fingers against the dais,  as perplexed as ever “Things surely have changed since I’ve been gone, maybe its time to visit my old friends again...”

  2. [Official Law Codex of the Medri Negasi]

    Section ፩ - Introduction

It is necessary for all civilized states to hold a codex of rules and regulations that each and every denizen must abide by. Without one, it is only right for a state to fall into anarchy and chaos. To avoid the slow formation of a dystopian government, these laws have been put in place to protect the interests of the denizens of Medri Negasi  - failure to do so should be revised, a change that can be petitioned to the ‘Taezaz’ by its own citizenry. The Medri Negasi of Seyam holds a government form called a ‘Consulate Monarchy’ - meaning that it is a state ruled by a monarch whose power can be checked by a council of three dubbed the ‘Jassinissa’. Though, this does not negate the fact that the Suldaan’s power goes unrivaled by each independent member. The Medri Negasi of Seyam shall serve as a superior to its predecesant states of Thyra, Ghanyah, and Melle.

    Section ፪ - Domestic Policy

Citizenship is defined as someone who either has both parents with granted citizenship, is a previous citizen of the Seyami state or its aforementioned predecessors, or is granted citizenship by the Taezaz, a Steward, or another member of the Taezazz’ governmental domain.

    •  All citizens are required to pay a set tax if they own land.

    • All citizens above the age of 16 are required to carry visible weaponry.

    • All citizens are granted fair court trials against any inconspicuous claims or crimes.

    • All citizens are subject to possible inquiry by the Seyami State and are expected to comply.

    • Any act made by citizens to undermine the Medri Negasi will be dubbed high treason.

    • If a citizen commits a crime in a foreign land, they are subject to that land’s authority.

    • Slavery, or any form of slave-like servitude, is unallowed in the Medri Negasi unless it is done to a war enemy.

    • Interracial relations are formally banned within the Medri Negasi of Seyam, this is not to be confused with inter-cultural relations which are accepted.

    Section ፫ - Foreign Policy

Anyone who does not hold citizenship in the Medri Negasi are seen as foreigners, though all foreigners are allowed to request citizenship.

    • Foreigners are allowed to visit and live within the Medri Negasi so long as they respect the rules and regulations of our state.

    • If a foreigner is deemed a danger to our society, they are not allowed to visit our state.

    • Upon entry, foreigners are subject to questioning and checks.

    • Foreigners are allowed to hold homes and shops in the Medri Negasi, though at a greater price than citizenry.

    • If a foreigner commits a crime in the Medri Negasi, they will be subject to our punishment.

    • Foreigners are not allowed to carry weapons in the Medri Negasi.

    Section ፬ - Diplomatic Policy

The Medri Negasi is open to all diplomatic offers. Allies are to be treated similar to the citizenry, and enemies are not allowed to be treated at all. Diplomatic offers may only be accepted or sent by the Suldaan, the Advisor-Regent, or the Jassinissa as a whole - and is only officiated if one of these entities sign off on it.

    • During times where either communing nation is at war, the Suldaan is the only one who may accept or send a Diplomatic offer.

    • Military Allies are the only foreigners allowed in the Medri Negasi with weaponry.

    • During diplomatic visits, foreign nations may only enter with 3 guards unless militarily allied.

    • Citizens of an enemy's state are not allowed into the Medri Negasi.

    Section ፭ - Seignorial Policy

The Seignoria refers to the Nobility of the Medri Negasi. Seignorial Houses are usually landed entities, though many of them opt to vassalize under more capable houses.

    •   The Seignoria are allowed to create laws for those under their jurisdiction, but will still be expected to abide by this codex. They are not allowed to create laws to omit these laws.

    • The Seignoria are expected to follow all the rules of the standard citizenry.

    • Nobility may only be granted by the Suldaan himself.

    • The Seignoria are not allowed to establish independent diplomacy with a foreign state unless explicitly allowed by the Suldaan.

    • All Seignorial titles are hereditary.

    • Seignorial titles may only be held by Farfolkians and cannot be inherited by a foreigner.

Section ፮ - Clarifying the ‘Jassinissa’

The Jassinissa is the everlasting Crown Council of the Medri Negasi, put in place during the reign of the first Negus of Ghanyah - 1637. The Jassinissa has been established as the administrative council of the Suldaan, assisting him in leading the nation efficiently, providing him advice, checking his power when needed and providing to the state through their own administrative duties. The Jassinissa and its members are the only people in the Medri Negasi who may speak in the name of the Suldaan.

    •    The Jassinissa holds three members, the Enderase[Advisor-Regent], the Dejazmach[Advising Commander], and the Taezaz[Chancellor] who each have their own administrative powers and duties that assist the nation in progressing - none of them hold administrative power over one another, unless during times of regency whereas the Advisor-Regent shall ascend in position. The Jassinissa are allowed to hold land and lead Houses. These ranks become hereditary, lasting even if a Suldaan dies - they can only be removed by a vote, between the other two council-members and the Suldaan. These roles can also be challenged by another House in which a skirmish shall take place.

    • The job of the Enderase is to serve as second-in-command of all affairs including diplomacy behind a regnant Ruler, to act as the Designated Regent should the nation require Regency, to advise a Ruler on all necessary affairs, to assist in state-hood correspondence, to listen to and translate all diplomatic offers, and to ensure the Jassinissa actively communes.

    • The job of the Dejazmach is to serve as the direct leader of all military-based affairs. Their primary job is to defend the state, to lead the Seyami guard in and out of war, to advise the Ruler on strategy and advancement, protect a Ruler and his/her interests through combat, and to enforce martial law in the nation if necessary.

The Dejazmach usually works with the Chancellor to quell all rebellions and ensure domestic peace in the Seyami state should the military be required for that.

    • The job of the Taezaz is to serve as the Prime Enforcer of Law and Justice. Their job is to act as the primary leader in trials under our jurisdiction, to quell corruption within our grand state, to actively survey the competence of all lands under Seyami Jurisdiction, to plan all events held within our lands, to inform the Suldaan and Jassinissa of all troubles and/or reliefs the citizenry may go through, to ease domestic tension, to provide housing and citizenship to qualified inquirers, and to ensure that this law codex remains updated with each necessary change, but remains in the best interest of the Medri Negasi and all of its citizenry.

    • Each Jassinissa member may appoint their own vices or assistance - although these vices don’t actively take part in the Jassinissa, they are appointed to assist the council members in their respective fields. Although they are not allowed to interrupt, they may spectate in Jassinissan meetings, votings, and etcetera.

    • Jassinissan titles and their vices can only be held by a Farfolkian and cannot be inherited by a foreigner.

Section ፯ - Checks and Balances

    • The Suldaan is the leader of the state, his power may be checked collectively by the council but his blood right title may not be lawfully uprooted.

    • The Jassinissa are the equalizers, their blood right positions may be uprooted by the collective conclusion of the Suldaan and remaining councilmen or uprooted by a more capable House, but it would be unlawful for the Suldaan to attempt to uproot these roles with his singular power or through corruptive methods.

    • Only the Suldaan holds the power to grant and revoke titles within the realm - the only restriction on revocation being the Jassinissa.

    • The succession of Seyam is agnatic-cognatic, meaning that women may only inherit if there are no available males in the direct lineage of the previous Suldaan, this succession is the primary in Seyam unless a title specifies otherwise.

    • Upon coronation, a new Suldaan may choose his own coronation rites derivative of their beliefs, but all must make a vow to uphold the rules and regulations of this official codex - and as such this codex is to be updated when necessary. If a Suldaan does not agree, they shall be considered illegitimate and treated as such until then.

    • The Suldaan must then make a vow to his faith, that he shall uphold Jyoism if it is what he so chooses, and his reign shall be vindicated by the Sayin-Alufa.

On this day, the Third of Grand Harvest, 1737, we announce the demotion of all titles related to the Rajdom of Thyra, and the creation and ascension of  ‘Seyam: Medri Negasi’ in the Korvassa. Medri Negasi in a forgotten Southeron language means ‘The Land of the King’ and will be used to insinuate all land under the jurisdiction of Seyam. This shall serve as the primary name of the state and as of now, the greatest title acquired in the land. Thyra shall remain existing, and shall be used as to name the capital of this new land. Although we refer to this as a “State of Farfolkia” - we will uphold xenopholic standards - meaning that any and all races are allowed entry so long as they follow the laws of the new state. This shall also serve as the recreation of the hereditary Jassinissa or “Crown Council” of our state, composed of three roles with defined jobs: the Enderase, the Dejazmach, and the Taezzaz; all which are currently vacant. With these glorious announcements, we encourage all farfolk men and women to the state, no matter the creed, to commune with the House of Sulynè and possibly establish relations and/or citizenship.

It is on this date in the warmth of the Korvassa that we announce the acquisition of all current lands within the Rajdom of Thyra. These lands have been acquired in their entirety and are now under the jurisdiction of a Southeron man under the name of ‘Erasto’.  The House of Enrique is and remains a wealthy house of course - however, it neglected the Thyran state’s economic poverty that for years went uncontrolled, causing it’s denizens to curse them. This unrest eventually grew into active protest, going unheard by both the world and the Raja - only causing them to delve deeper into poverty, with all of it’s merchants and workers migrating elsewhere. Before these peaceful protests evolved into something greater - they fell under a new leader, who was far from an Enrique. With the riches he had apparently hoarded since the days of yore, he was able to bail out the House of Enrique and gain control of the Thyran state within the span of one year. Although this deal took a year to cement, the man Erasto became popular overnight. The tension between the two entities seem little to none, with Junar Enrique blessing the new leader before he departed. The intricacy of this deal is unknown to all, though it definitely signals a new era for Thyra.

It has been 45 long summers since the fall of the Southeron state of Méllé, meaning that it has been 45 long winters that the various tribes have been displaced and continued to falter. The culture has not been completely lost, though it has been shifted, altered, and renovated or has gone extinct.

The Khonmahkites had gone extinct. During the conquest of the September Prince, they were convinced that they - as mortals - could fend him off from their homes with no help. They were executed in a swift moment without any escapees.

The Zailu Tribe had migrated to the new land with the other descendants, their foresight allowing them to assess the situation well. Once they reached this new land, they ventured to the Korvassa and have lived in exclusion since then, allowing several of their members to simply die off. They were leaderless, meaning that they lacked any sense of direction and simply struggled to survive – almost like they were stuck in a hell where the only thing holding them there was a valid reason to exit.

The Okarachi Tribe had broken up, finding residence in many of the newly formed nations of Arcas, doing nothing of note - they simply survived as regular Farfolk citizens would.

The Mengesha fared the best of the former Méllé tribes, as their leadership remained intact after the fall of Méllé.
Led by the inheritor of the Tejju, Melesse Alem Zewedu. After the journey to Arcas, the Mengesha wandered the new continent without a permanent home for some time, before settling in the mountainous regions of the Korvassa. They held true to their cultural roots and traditions, largely keeping to themselves, though changed by their time as an itinerant group.

The sons and daughters of these great Southeron warriors, miners, farmers, and leaders have found home elsewhere. Some elders still live, telling the stories of their tribes - and the Mélléan descendants do listen. However, like the human lifespan, these interests are short-lived. Mélléan descended houses have formed, influenced from the other great houses of humanity. A few staple houses being Sulmaehr, a house descendant from the Zailu Tribe and Tejju, a house descendant from the Mengesha Tribe. They built great families that, although drifted from their old tribal cultures, grant them life through old traditions, stories, and values. Since the announcement of Valgarai’s return in 1736, the leaders and elders of these great Mélléan houses have longed to return to the desert where it was announced that he still lives. Many did not believe the stories were true - “Even if he had survived, he would be too old to even move.” they stated, “If he is alive, it simply means we’ve been abandoned.” they exclaimed - however, these doubts did not stop them from going. There they did not meet Valgarai however. They met a man that greatly resembled him - though the way he spoke was accentless and the way he presented himself was with too much tolerance - he was different, definently not the leader they had once known, and he looked much too young to be the great Rakshasa, though he had a daughter whom appeared to be in her late teens. He called himself Erasto, and he spoke boldly to every venturing Farfolk that arrived - speaking of a nation greater than Méllé, of things concerning Thyran leadership, and he kept speaking until he was eventually captured by the Thyran guards for such blasphemous and threatening remarks. As he was captured, his only worry was that the Farfolk’s who had come to see Valgarai would not leave within the next month - that he had an unheard of promise to them that he wanted to keep. Curiosity kills the cat several times,  but rarely does it kill a Southeron - so they waited; but time does not.

”He was called Azulo and he was the first.”

Azulo was one of the many human commanders apart of Harrens tribe - and one of the few who publicly despised the adjoining of Harren and Sirai which eventually led to the banishment and excommunication of the Harrenites by the Oren Empire and Canon Church.. Harrens commandment that stated that each Harrenite must wed a Mali’dun to begin a superior race descendant from intermarriage purely disgusted Azulo, so much that he publicly disobeyed Harrens orders and fled Idunia. His tribe, the people who fled with him, are commonly credited as the Progenitors of the Southeron People and he is simply  known by them as The First - he was known as Azulo the Dastard by other Harrenites, and saw them as enemies.Azulo was a skilled Commander of Harren, participating in many of their grand ventures. He led many other Harrenites south along with him to avoid northern persecution and conflict with the loyal Harrenites - travelling to the deserts in hopes of living in peace. They were called the ‘Southern Harrenites’, but internally they named their tribe ‘Nyane’. Azulo and his tribe adapted poorly to the environment, many of them immigrated back to Fai O’Thuaid in hopes of being forgiven of their transgressions.  Some who stayed with Azulo succumbed to the immense heat. They eventually learned to adjust to the biome and it’s harshness, his newfound tribe moving closer to water sources for heightened chances of survival. The city they formed carrying the name Maehr, and Azulo was deemed it’s ‘Sul’. It was a beautiful oasis city surrounded with palisades. Azulo, however, was a ruthless ruler who  had immense paranoia towards not only the Harrenites who threatened him and Orenners who had banished his fellow Harrenites - but paranoia to his own people. His paranoia caused him to rule with an iron fist, subjecting even his close relatives to execution. Azulo was not only paranoid, but immensely power hungry - he felt that power was the only true way to keep his city under control and that he was the only one fit for ruling. Azulo used fear as a secondary tool to make his people submissive, reminding them constantly of the foreigners that threatened  his small civilization. Azulo’s control lasted in the city for three entire decades before he eventually perished - he had a single daughter, but the power of Azulo and his descendants was relinquished with his death and the city eventually split into many separate groups that were inter reliant on one another, laying the foundation for various tribes. As time progressed, the desert eventually became the place of comfort and security for the Southern Harrenites, finding refuge in it for each land they migrated to, it was their shield against persecution - and as such, their body began adapting to this new environment - mainly their skin. Although he is singularly credited as the founder of the Southeron people, it was actually his tribe of unrelated individuals who descended from the Harrenites that  laid the foundation for the distinct Southeron cultures, traditions, and etcetera. It is undocumented what happened to Nya'ne and the broken up Southern Harrenite tribes afterwards, however they have been thought to stayed in the area and progressed silently. The name ‘Southeron’ was not developed until end-Asulon as an abbreviation - although it was at first seen as a spiteful word to use against them. Despite this, it was a name that stuck with them.

(This is just posted in hopes of it becoming an approved lore to better detail the origins of the Southeron and where their differences from other Farfolk derive from. It’s also with hopes of distancing them as well, because bunching all minorities into one race is a lazy rp server trope.)

On the 14th of Amber’s Cold, 1692 on Atlas – it had been announced that Valgarai Kenyatta, previously known as Kalfu, the Leader of Ghanyah’s official successor state, Melle, and the Regent of the aforementioned state – had died. The details of his death were covered, there were no eyewitnesses who came forward to explain just how he died, nor did anyone find his body – however, the people of Melle believed the trustworthy words of Melesse Alem Zewedu, Valgarai’s right-hand man; and so, in their minds he was gone. Many things have happened since then, and his name had been forgotten completely. For the first time on this new land, he began to venture – making a pilgrimage to what he had considered his place of ‘rebirth’ – to Krugmar. He discovered the many ruins and beautified cities of the Korvassa – cursing many of them as an insult Aztran himself. He had the vows he promised to his people after the fall of Ghanyah etched into his skull, repeating them several times over again until he convinced himself that it was still necessary to follow these vows.

You shall uptake the mantle of Champion, you will be the shield, the spear, and the armor for us - if we are disgraced, you shall be the first to respond, if we are attacked, you shall be the first to defend, if we are to die, you shall revive and revitalize us.

This is the reason he kept himself in isolation for so long – the ways in which he led broke these vows, he had become an authoritarian and abusive leader, the literal opposite of what he wished for his own people. He had lived in the Korvassa, surviving on the meat of scorpions, birds, and other animals – whilst cursing himself several times over and allowing his thoughts to dictate what he saw; his dreams were plagued by his failures and he would see the ghosts of the people whom he failed spiting him. Midway through his voyage, he only made a single pitstop to a newborn place named Ruswick. After days of communion with the people of Ruswick, he continued his voyage. It came as a surprise to him that to his own people he had been forgotten, but to the descendants of Krug it was almost as if he took a short holiday – and he was welcomed as he had been before. On the 1st of Grand Harvest, 1736, Valgarai had, after several years of isolation in the scorching desert of the Korvassa, announced his return. His people had forgotten him, so he had hoped his enemies would as well. After his pilgrimage had finished, and he was caught up on the current affairs of the world – he returned to the Korvassa, finding refuge in Thyra – whose people did not know, or care whom he was.

Hey man, I appreciate the comment and hope you’re well. It is scary I guess but I’m definitely pretty cornered with no choices hahaha, I’m not gunna let it get over me mentally, I’ve done nothing but joke about it since it happened while everyone crumbled around me. Going to get a lot worse before it gets better but I’m sure I’ll be fine, if not you can take over my grumpy dwarf for me ?

Any dono’s for rs gf are much appreciated hahaha, I hope you have a nice break and your ties with leukemia end well! Real **** happens all the time, just gotta handle it like everything else ?

Great to hear from you Hexe! I hope you’re well man, yeah I’ve not got much idea what’s going on with 07 they’re split so far apart now but I was chatting with a friend and considering playing 07 as well with my time at some point, only mistake I made was alting 07 on my rs3 main so I’d have to pick and choose or start again which is a bit of a bummer, but it’s not like I couldn’t if I wanted to time wise haha. I definitely should be advertising my discord more as I’m sucky at in game replies playing on mobile where the chat is barely visible and on my laptop where I’m just constantly lobbying and getting distracted by nurses and ****, but we should chat more there.

As for how to start on rs3, they added some more f2p stuff recently that I think can make the game even funner to start without membership, it’s definitely a boost if you wanna be efficient, get a bond and jump straight into questing. Otherwise it’s enjoyable to just poke around, kill stuff and work it out as you go along like you would with anything else haha.

Would be cool man, maybe get a friends chat or something setup to all chat in, who knows. Hope your finals and break go well though man, happy holidays ?

Thanks very much man I appreciate the thoughts, that’s real kind of you. I enjoyed rping with you and hope we can rp again sometime soon ? I seem to of messed up on how much traffic this would get by giving my ign, probably better to contact me on discord at z3m0s#6599, think you might already have it but just for anyone else, I’m missing everything in game lmao. Easiest line of communication is discord 100%.

I’ve been thinking about looking into like a real trash texture pack and horrid optifine settings to help me out, just been super tired and not had much time to sit and work it out but it’ll definitely be something I try, thanks for the reminder. Hope you have a great break man and if I could wish for anything this christmas it’s that you’d keep me from being irl pked by September’s gaze ❤️

I played a fair bit of neverwinter in my youth a fair few years ago but I don’t think I ever gave the normal version a good crack, I’ll have to check on it, how’s the community, I was nearly looking at lord of the rings online and stuff as well, I imagine they’re both kinda in the same boat as crazy old school mmo’s still kicking haha. Only problem will be downloading bigger stuff on my hospital wifi connection lmao. Hope to rp with you again soon man, keep up the good work

Thanks for the compliments man ? I’m still pretty good at the moment, only just got my first little taste of chemo last night for about half an hour, I’ve been trying to stay away from google to keep my head clear but the nurses and doctors have already briefed my on all kinds of horrible stuff that can occur as a side effect, I just gotta cross my fingers and hope I get a few and not all of them hahaha. Happy holidays fam.

Hey thanks man it means a lot, in honesty I’m not the most religious person myself but any kinda prayers or offers people wanna make for me to what they believe in is an honor that I respect highly. He seems like a pretty chill guy until he does a woopsie and gives you the big luke ?

Thanks Lucas man I hope you’re well, sorry I boarded that hole up in the wall buddy, we really had something special going but I couldn’t stand you staring at me all the time while I was working ? take over for me as the ******* dwarf with the god complex please, thanks x

Thanks man! If you wanna message me on discord at z3m0s#6599 I’d be happy to answer any questions and help you along if you’re really interested in playing, otherwise a chat on discord does great all the same, hope your holidays are great ?

Thought I’d just add a huge thank you to all you guys here, the support has been super overwhelming and not the kind of attention I expected haha. Anyone who’d like to chat is probably better off going through my discord z3m0s6599 as my rs activity is sucky and temporary of course, discord remains supreme. I hope you’re all going great, your finals come out perfect and your holidays are amazing. I hope I can see you all online shortly once I workout how to real world trade runescape coins for a new laptop ?

Hahaha I’ve no choice but to retreat to nerddom with all my free time, I only hope I can get online to upset your character in Holm more often ? hope your holidays are great.

I've played neverwinter aswell and I can honestly say that ddo knocks it out of the park in everything aside from graphics - which can honestly be overlooked. I've honestly had alot of fun roleplaying with you so of course I'll be awaiting your return friendo! I'm not too keen on playing Runescape as I lost interest in it a long time ago, but if you ever find yourself having ddo feel free to message me because that's one of the few games that can successfully make me an addict.

It is with confirmation that we hereby announce the death of our most honorable leader, Valgarai Kenyatta; Regally known as Kalfu – the Prime Champion of the Southeron, Grand Chief of the Zailu Tribe, first Scildan of Ethos, and first Rakshasa of Melle. It is saddening to reveal that our great leader has died of a heart condition. With this announcement, we leave the people of Melle to ponder over his abilities and decide how they wish to move on in the next reigning. It is here that we also announce his successor – As Kalfu died without any capable heirs, his younger brother Thulani Kenyatta of the Zailu Tribe is the next in line for his titles. We wish our new Rakshasa luck on his journey and hope that he surpasses the goals that his older brother had set out for our glorious Rasdom. In the words of ‘the First’: “One is born, One dies, Yet we walk.” and so we will.
