Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: - Yes, this server, about 2 years ago
Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - I have and was whitelisted (under the same account name) but it would appear you have updated your servers or something as the previous application is no longer on the forum. I hope it is alright to reapply using the same character.
 
How did you hear about us?: - Google search

What do you think the server will be like? - A rigorous and reliable RP experience

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - "Damaging other player’s buildings is allowed only with RP reasoning, and is encouraged to only be done when the owner of the building is online. RP reasoning can include vendettas or sieges, as an example."

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?: - Yes.

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!
 
What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is a chance to be another person entirely, in a different world entirely.

What’s metagaming?: - Meta-Gaming is acting in-game according to out-of-game knowledge. This can be disruptive in roleplaying experiences for everyone, because the point is that your character acts as if he/she were real, and not as if he/she was just an avatar. Actions which are based on outside knowledge rather than what your character would actually do is Meta-gaming.
 
What’s powergaming?: - Power-gaming is playing in such a way that keeps other players from being able to act or advancein the game, rendering their experience less enjoyable; or making your character too powerful when they realistically should not be.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, etc. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Malvegil was born into a minor noble family of Abresi. His mother died in childbirth so his father was his only parent. From a young age, he proved to be exceptionally bright and well-suited to the intricacies of human politics. He became his father Thorion's chief advisor and administrator at the age of 15. As a child, Malvegil spent most of his time inside, as he was very shy and the other children mocked him for his mother's death; it was considered unlucky and a curse. Nonetheless, he led a happy life until tragedy struck when Thorion was killed while hunting. Whether it was accident or murder is unknown, but fould play is suspected for reasons that will soon become clear. However, Malvegil did not take his father's place, as was his birthright.
The night after his father's demise, a man came in the night to kill him, that the lordship might pass to an ambitious relation rather than a boy. (Malvegil believes that the man was hired by the usurper, and has sworn to avenge his father's death.) Malvegil escaped, fortunately, and fled to the slums of the city to hide and take on a new identity. Thus, for 13 years he went by the name Alarios Denemer. He travelled the country, studying under whatever scholars he could find, whilst fleeing the wars which ravaged the lands.
 
What are they like? (personality): - He is very intelligent and able to do well in most fields, whether leading an army or running a business. Although physically fit and healthy, he prefers to study than to fight. Having said that, he is also a man of duty and knows that when the war drums are beaten people such as him must step forth to lead the banners.
 
What are their ambitions?: - After he spent several years working odd jobs as a clerk, he departed with a small amount of gold; enough to travel the realm. This is exactly what he intends to do. He is a man of great ambition and is determined not to let the calamities which have befallen him stand in his way.

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Malvegil is highly educated, and well versed in statecraft and philosophy. He is healthy and strong although by no means an exceptional athlete or warrior. He is a hopeless craftsman and can come off as aloof or scornful of the uneducated.
 
Give us a description of how they look?: - He is 30 years old, of average human stature, with light brown hair and blue eyes.
