What is roleplaying?:playing as a character in a fictional world.

What is metagaming?: using info your character does not know to your advantage.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:  "The cop stabs the robber in the back." Its when you make your character more powerful, making them do things illogically making them auto-win.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Willow lived in the woods of Laureh'Lin. Her parents, Ayano and Chris were accused of murder, forcing them to live in the woods. Willow grew up without other people, this made her curious and making her want to explore the world. One cold night her father left the cabin when he was drunk, he returned with a large arrow wound in his chest. As he laid on his death bed he explained how Willow was not his true child, and how he had adopted her after her biological father left. Willow was heart broken, she had watched the man she called father die, and she had learned that he was not her real father. She slowly drifted off into depression, she talked to her mother about it, she wished to find out who her real father was, and to do that she needed to learn how to fight. nine years passed from when her mother started to train her how to use a bow. It was on this fateful day, when she left.

 

Willow let out a heavy sigh, she smiled to her mom; "Ahernan haelun, for teaching me all that I know." Ayanos' eyes started to tear up as she went to give her daughter a final hug "Willow, you must never speak of me, or Chris, you must never visit." she mumbled as tears slipped down her cheeks "It would be dangerous, for both of us, this is your choice, stay here forever, or go out into the world." Willow slowly took a step back tears starting to drip down her own cheeks as she thought about what to do "Mother, what was the name of my real dad..?" she asked as she stared at the ground. Ayano frowned, she took off her brown satchel handing it to her "'Just know, my little Willow tree, that he will know by this bag, have you made your decision?" Willow nodded the took the bag and put it on quickly "I will leave, Van'ayla Haelun." she frowned turning around she started to walk away, and started her new adventure.

personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) She loves archery ,books,  she hates  lies, and alchohal because she believes it was the cause of her fathers death. She has a habit of twirling her hair and playing with her satchel.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) She wants to  learn to be a better archer, and become a writer.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Archery, lying, and playing with animals.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) She cannot cook, and seems to get dazed easily.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Brown hair with blonde highlites, she is 5'7 weighing 140 pounds of muscle, her skin is chocolate colored and her eyes are dark blue.

• Your character's actual skin color is a little dark for a Wood Elf. Try to lighten it up to more of a tan color.

A note however, you didn't change your skin- this'll lead to you being treated like you're a half elf with one parent a Southeron or be treated like a Mud Elf (a dark elf and wood elf mix). Be prepared for this or just ask someone to help you with the skin.
