cablam 477 Share Posted January 9, 2017 DO NOT USE BOOKSHELVES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! Bookshelves are currently very broken, resulting in any books that are put into one and left post the 1.11.2 update to be deleted permanently upon server restart. Books that were put into bookshelves before the update to 1.11.2 are fine to remain in the bookshelf, but if you remove the book from the shelf DO NOT put it back in one. For now, store any books not already within a bookshelf in a chest until a fix for the bug can be made. Apologies for any issues caused by this bug. cablam 477 Author Share Posted January 12, 2017 Update! Good news and bad news. Good news first! Bookshelves are now usable once again! Your books will not be instantly deleted upon restart. Bad news now. On occasion, seems to be partly due to lag, books will get deleted when you are attempting to put the book in the shelf similar to what occurred before the attempts at a fix. However, instead of the books returning on restart, the books will not reappear on restart resulting in the book being lost. What this means is you can use bookshelves however do so only if you have backup copies of books stored in chests.
