A faint noise enters his ears

The sounds come and go

Sobbing is heard, soft and mournful

The sounds slowly fade out...

The man slowly comes to, alow groan escapes his lips

His arm braced and leg with a splint.

The light of the fire slowly shining through his bleak, pale eyes.

"My son..."

He lets out a mournful, heartwrenching sound; his fingers digging into his palms.

"M-master?!"

A hopeful, pleading voice enters his senses, footsteps rapidly approaching in the small room.

"Master Edward...?"

The voice seems to get stuck in the man's throat

"W-where am..."

Edward struggles to talk, his mouth parched. He tries to struggle to get up, painfully unable

"Please..."

A hand touches down on his chest, forcing him back into the depths of the bed.

"You are downstream from the keep"

The man excitedly tells him, concern in his voice

"The other's haven't gotten word of this yet"

He impatiently says, aiming for the door.

"W-wai...."

Edward's words are useless as the man hurriedly runs out

"My son..."

A sharp feeling of pain assaults his senses, his vision slowly turning black as he groans out, his consciousness fading out.
