A Warning to the Blessed

 

13th of Malin’s Welcome, 1723

*notices would be posted at the tavern, square noticeboard, clinic, citadel, library, gate, numerous pillars, and street arches.* 

 

   By decree of the Sohaer, citizens of Haelun’or are henceforth warned against taking any trips into the forest surrounding Berr’lin. A vile series of events has taken place in recent time which has rendered the forest off limits to all citizens. A sillumir, defender of Haelun’or, was viciously murdered just outside of elcihi’thilln, this attack was unprovoked. This dreary fact was discovered when a group of elcihi’thilln denizens and sillumiran heard terrified screaming coming from a sillumir just outside of the gate. This sillumir was dragged away, leaving a trail of blood which this group of elcihi’thilln denizens and sillumiran followed. At the end of this morbid trail, the sillumir’s mutilated corpse was found in the wilderness outside of Berr’lin’s walls. 

 

   Shortly after discovery, this expedition of concerned denizens was ambushed by a group of wild mali. The wild mali fought with claws instead of proper weaponry. Blessed citizens of elcihi’thilln were injured and maimed by these bestial mali. There were no deaths, and the wild mali were promptly dealt with. This is no cause to let our guard down however, for this group of feral mali was small and it could very well be apart of a much larger group.  They looked substantially different from any other elven subrace. These mali are bestial in appearance, more animal than mali. Therefore, there is no chance that this is a roving group of vagrants. It is abundantly clear that there is a sub race of wild mali dwelling within the forests surrounding Berr’lin. For this reason, all citizens of elcihi’thilln are warned against going into the forests. Stay safe, stay out of the forests, the pure leadership of Haelun’or and Elsillumiran are working to protect you all.
