Between Lanterns and Life
A Hyspian Lantern Celebration

Upon the precipice of new life and procession, some come to focus solely upon what we’re marching towards. Towards a future for ourselves and our to-bes, one we attempt to strike brighter with every act or strain. But in this process, we forget that which surrounds us presently, that which allows us to push onward. So, laced with desire of a bright future, I, Persis Arkanov, invite all willing to a celebration of life and remembrance of present joys.

Through releasing lanterns into the skies, my hopes are that these two focuses — wishes for a prosperous future and acknowledgement of the present blessings, can come to dance amongst the stars.

RELEASE OF LANTERNS

Once gathered by Hyspia’s back shore, attendees will be provided materials for paper lanterns in an effort to set our darkened skies alight. Whether it’s by whisper or an attached parchment, all participants are encouraged to send their lanterns off with hopes of a grand future.

HYSPIAN TASTES
Courtesy of our Infante, His Highness, Rafael Arsenico, fresh fruits shall be served throughout the event’s duration. Whether it’s a coconut or the sweetest berries to ever meet your tongue, arrive with peace in knowing that your hunger will be quelled!

 

LIFELONG BLOSSOMS
Alongside the main focus, flowers and twine will be supplied for those wishing to possess a reminder of the night. Means of pressing the flowers, therefore allowing them to live on forever, will be present as well. And as an extra incentive to participate in the festivities, the Senora or Senor who presents the best bouquet will receive 50 minas.
