A MISSIVE TO THE PEOPLES

 

 

This report is provided on the accounts of the three eyewitnesses, all of which were combatants within the situation that unfolded within the Jungles of Zag’hal under the lands of the Khanate. 

Previous suspicions were vaulted as to the possible presence of Anathema and Daemonica upon the Lands of Plenty, both within the Valley of Silence and the Jungles of Zag’hal of the Khanate. These were confirmed upon the 9th of the Deep Cold, Year 202 S.A. wherein the three combatants, Leithril, Feanor Sylvaeri and Vyke were each instructed to initiate a patrol of the lands surrounding Caurost.

Upon progressing into the lands of the Zag’hal, it was there that they were met with the sights of five individuals, within the Ruination of Vikela itself. A land once razed by our own peoples had so now become invaded by the likes of Anathema, for so was it true that the nature of the corruption previously placed upon the lands by the Vikelites had thus brought forth the practitioners of Daemonica that revered none other than the wretched Iblees. 

There, at the gates of the Vikelan Ruins within the Zag’hal, did lie a Deathwielder, a Fjarriauga, and a ghoul bearing the likeness of a goblin, adorned in pots and pans. The accursed Deathwielders that these anathema wield among them are capable of drawing forth various creatures of undeath, of both large and small likeness, of which two were drawn upon the occasion. The esteemed and exalted combatants did meet them in battle, utilizing a combination of greater strategy and armaments of alchemical and magical means in order to vanquish them.

Our exalted combatants were faced with many threats - the enclosing minions of undeath, the various forms of projectile wrought of unholy frost that were capable of being drawn, and lastly, the devastating strikes of the Warhammer of Frost wielded by the armored Fjarriauga.

It must be noted that the Anathema that have taken the ruins of Vikela as their own have utilized their slaves bound in undeath and ruin in order to construct gates and various structures. At this time, we are uncertain of what purpose they are to be utilized toward, as initial investigations performed by the Vanguard of Cauróst have been unsuccessful in yielding further results.

Though the Deathwielder, his constructs of undeath, and the goblin-ghoul were vanquished, the Fjarriauga escaped. They were capable of utilizing their wretched magicks within the Lands of Plenty, despite it not being a land bearing any form of cold, and this must be further investigated. 

We are unaware of what might further rest amongst their ranks, be they wielders of Daemonica or the Ibleesspawn themselves, though this incident is likely to be linked to the attack of one Solomon of Aeldin, a masked bearer of wretched magicks, upon the Yellow Men. Any further information must be forwarded to the War Council.

We call on the militant citizens of Cauróst, Vanguard and laymen alike, to initiate investigations into the ruined lands that lie within the Zag’hal, and to report to the War Council with findings.

We shall recover our jungle yet, and our ranks shall not allow these Anathema to trifle with us any further. 

We call to the great denizens of the larger Khanate, that they might aid us in our investigation and vanquishing efforts.
